I lurk the home arcade community who talk all day about arcades, and it's actually really good to see reviews from people OUTSIDE of the usual "home arcade community" because I think you offer a much fresher and objective perspective. The cabinet is beautiful. And it's interesting you actually got it for a non-marque title, which is cool! Kinda how nostalgia works though, we have an affinity for the stuff we grew up with!
Awesome review! Love the way you edited/cut your montage while building the cabinet! My favorite thing about these recent cabinets from A1UP are the light up marquee, molded coin doors, and the new form/shape they’re going with! It really give them a better arcade feel to them and I love it! 😍

Yeah, but licensing issues may play a factor in that I'm sure, which they probably couldn't have gotten. It's still a shame that fine game has still yet to get an official home release for that matter also.
@@freakyfornash licensing issues didn’t stop them from mashing Data East titles on a Konami cabinet. At this price point one more license holder should have been feasible to make this the ultimate marvel 4 player experience.
I own this cabinet and the original TMNT cabinet. Two best arcade games from my childhood, owning them is so awesome! I wish the original TMNT cabinet had the WiFi capability, I am considering getting the new TMNT in time just for the internet capability 😅

@@NerdonFilm Doing my parts inspection now. I have over 20 A1up cabs, so I got experience with the cab builds. For $700 if any parts are damaged it is going back to the store. If everything is good, let build begin!
Great review man! Enjoyed your cuts/edits. Peeling the plastic is my least favorite part because they screw it down and you have to loosen them all to get the little pieces out 😅
If you plan to get more arcade1up machines in the future, I recommend The Simpsons, Capcom Legacy, Class of 81*, and the Bandai Namco Legacy* cabinets. *Deluxe or not, that's up to you.
I bought a custom made cabinet that you hook up to the TV. It saved me about $600. It matches my Man cave décor (Detroit Pistons). I almost bought a 1up until I found the one I bought. It has over 10K games. So I could not pass that up. I hope all is well. Keep up the good work Nate.

No one like captain America and the avengers over X-Men. The one game I wish they could have added was The Punisher arcade game. That was probably my favorite besides X-Men. That was a real beat ‘em up. The fact you pick up guns and shoot people point blank range was awesome and throwing knives. That was a brutal one.
I love this game but as a 4 player, not so much. I plan on waiting on this cab to go on sale then I'm going to skin it to a Captain America & the Avengers cab. I know that 1Up will release a proper 6 player X-Men so I'm holding out on that.
Excellent video except... (unpopular opinion here) I actually bought mine (arriving tomorrow!) mostly Avengers in Galactic Storm, one of my favorite Mame games that doesn't run well on a raspberry Pi. :) I won't defend it, it's a questionable SF clone. But I like it so there. :)

😔 I caved on a Walmart sale. MFS got me🤬. I swore I wouldn’t pay that price, but it’s a 🔑 cabinet/Mount Rushmore of arcade games to me personally. Just wish they would’ve added Spider-Man:The Arcade Game to make me feel better about my purchase. But it will look pretty next to my Marvel Superheroes LE & MVC cabinet.

To be honest, I think it’s worth it even without the games, just as memorabilia and/or backdrop. It looks amazing and I can see myself spending money on a TMNT one or a TDOS one, though I don’t think the latter exists. I really enjoyed this video. Hope you do more of these.
It's funny how you didn't play as any of the female character. Storm's power is the best as the tornado travels across the entire screen to take out baddies. She's my girl! 😁
@@NerdonFilm OP, no way. I hated how they had to give some of the characters "extra" powers. Wolverines claws do not shoot beams, bro. Meanwhile Storm and Cyclops were straight outta the comics.😎

X-men fun arcade classic but a 700 plus that’s a little high priced if it comes out as A Countercade for 250 I’m sold!
I thought the TMNT countercade looked cool, but I didn’t like how small the screen was.

Totally worth it IMO. I really wish AC-1up had found a way to get Sega's Spider-man to complete the Marvel line-up.

@@freakyfornash Form factor makes a big difference in this case. You can emulate X-men on MAME but it feels so much better on an actual cabinet.

Definitely. I played Galactic Storm once outside of this video and never came back to it. It’s terrible. Otherwise I love this cabinet.

Can you set the led lights to one color instead of multiple colors?
Yeah, you can cycle through and the last setting is the multi color one. The rest are just solid colors.
