Have you ever experienced sensory overload?

Thank you for this, Eva! Self-awareness definitely helps me to keep sensory overload to a minimum. For me it's oftentimes the sense of multitasking too much that tips me over the edge, like trying to read a newspaper article while have a vlog on, at the same time when there is loud talking from the garden next door and a motorbike loudly passing by in the street outside the house 😵

Yes, I get why the multitasking can be a problem. I am not the best at it myself 😜

What works for me is to trust everything my body signals to me and act on it if I feel like doing so. This keeps my energy level in check. Even if I cannot always comprehend it in the moment - reflecting back on it it always makes sense.
Also had moments when there was too much sensory overload and this showed me the boundaries of a particular situation at that moment. Other times I thought I would be overstimulated but still felt to continue and realized that I was much more capable than previously thought.

Yes, what you can handle can change a lot from day to day, and can depend a lot on different factors. Like how well you slept, your mood or how stressed you are
