Absolutely true that it is important to try and get fish quickly through the post. People forget that damage from ammonia can leave permanent damage to a fish's gills.
New fish! New little fish! New cute little fish! (That's me jumping up and down and yelling in my brain from excitement, but making sure not to scare them.) They're already coloring up. This tank's going to be amazing, especially watching them grow and mature. Yipee!
Wow, these guys are super fun to watch! Their quick schooling darting behavior is adorable! Love this tank and looking forward to watching then mature and find their space.

I've never actually seen the Sumbu dwarfs except in photos - very excited to see them. Excellent choices all the way around. This is going to be a fun tank to watch grow up.
New fish are always exciting. As for acclimation, you were the one who introduced me to "plop and drop": haven't lost a new fish, since. 👍
I love adding fish to my community tank. I just know that they are being introduced to a much better environment to live their life, than in a store tank. Those fish are really cute and active.

Great! Glad you're spotlighting Tanganyikans. Worth waiting for them to develop for sure! I've gone away from them for now but this reminds me how cool they are, and how I really need a fishroom to keep all the species I'd like to have!
Gorgeous tank and great selection of fish Rachel! Went ahead and googled each species and they're all BEAUTIFUL as adults. Can't wait to watch these guys mature and I wish you luck with them. All seems to be going well so hopefully you don't experience any losses.

nice super nice fish I had some nigripinnis and some other don't remember but get ur self a glass on topp because they jump a lot if they are spocked. nice videos and keep up the good work =) I already love them. big hello from Norway

those are what I originally wanted (and still do at some point), but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get the sumbu shell!

My mom and I have altolamprologus calvus "black ink" and they are stunning. Similar to compressiceps, but bigger. We also have neolamprologus leleupi, cyprichromis leptisoma "bluefin", and synindontis lucipinnis. It's a totally fun tank and we can't wait to upgrade! I'm glad to see you showing people how awesome Tanganyika fish are!

The tank layout looks great. Really like the rock work and the shells are very cool. This is a tank that I’m very interested in because I’m planning my own Tanganyika tank. I really like the julidchromas and lelupi fish from the lake so they are the ones I plan on keeping. Great job as usual Rachel. Keep us updated on your beautiful birthday fish

Smaller fish in a big tank is better they have more room to swim and be happy imo..
I have a 120g with shellies and they love it they even go all the way to the top to eat they are very happy

just dived into saltwater reef. if you like grumpy faces check out the algae/Lawnmower Blenny. he just chomps on rocks scraping algae all day.
I remember the time you got your first shipment of sardine cichlids and how they just disappeared into the rockwork, it was so disappointing to see them acting abnormally. I think that you had a bad supplier or something.
However this shipment rocks! Nice perky fish, tight little schools and eating in front of you! This will be an awesome tank, I'm so glad you set this up :)
Next tank ... Asian blackwater? Or even a cryptocorne tank with sparkling gourami, rasboras and some loaches?

For Dutch people Dutch law says that every Dutch breeder or shop that sells animals has a minimal 6 months garanty.That means that ubtill 6 months after buying and receiving the animals including aquatics animals, by law are given a new animal or the money back without the buyer needing to prove that it was sick and or had defects that are not caused by the buyer.Including dead on arrival.
After 6 months the buyer needs to prove that he pr she didn t cause illness, defect or death of the animal.
If bought from a fishkeeper that doesn t have a permit then you as buyer need to proof you didn t cause the illness ,defect or death and/or couldn t have known that it had defects and or illnesses when bought.
While the animal first shown sjgns of illness or defects you need to call and ot mail the shop or breerder before treatment or euthenize it.To give the seller a opprrtunity to offer money back or to give the animal back to treat ut for you at their costs or give you another new healthy animal
Wow then does the fish price become higher than other countries because of that law? That's quite a harsh law for a fish seller tho

I think so for paracyps, not sure if I would do the cyps. A group of the cyps I got will be moving out to hte other 75g shellie tank to fill out that grouping.
