Originally all silver but we had it painted by Bob Neil paint shop to add the black with red accents. We had it tuned in Atlanta. Only road trip it ever made.

My '05 STI has 160k miles flat but has been stock all its life and the previous owner drove it from 30k miles to 159k miles and had no issues at all. Then again, he babied it all throughout his ownership and never thrashed on it and used it as only a commuter. If you change the oil when needed, don't do WOT pulls on high gears at low RPM's, and don't heavily mod it, you should be just fine.
I've had my STi for 12 years this June and it's been a torrid love affair everyday. I generally don't run the AC so I listen to the engine. I LOVE this car. I put a catback exhaust and a cold air intake, changed the horn to something lower in tone. Could not be happier. My wife suggested I get a newer model but why get rid of something perfect?
What is it whit so many Americans hating on this car? Here in scandinavia where winters are long and cold having a car like this you pretty much become the king of the roads.

I'm not fond of many imported cars, but I must say your review made me like the WRX. It was an unbiased video with only the facts being expressed about the vehicle. Nice job staying unbiased to this day in your videos Kyle.
Thanks a lot my friend, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. It's my goal to stay unbiased and factual. After all, it's about learning about all kinds of cars, not critiquing them negatively :)
I really wish I had the money for even a decently used one....I love the Subaru WRX STi...I currently own a 95 Legacy Wagon with the 2.2 under the hood. Something I will always keep well maintained.

My favourite model of the STI. Its too bad the paint job is ruining an otherwise amazing car. If that black vinyl stuff could come off, you'd have a very nice clean STI.
The owner of this car did a terrific job modifying this one. Very tasteful and clean. I like old subarus vs the new ones. Better styling and interiors. Subarus new interiors are awful
