I can clear up the chronological game order for you. Clear Sky (2008) is the first game lore wise. (Game story set in 2011) It covers the first expedition led by Strelok into the heart of the zone. You play as Scar and are tasked by Clear Sky to stop Strelok, because of his actions, the emissions are getting worse. Shadow Of Chernobyl (2007) is the second game. (Game story set in 2012) Roughly one year after the events of Clear Sky, you play as The Marked One and are looking for Strelok, venturing once more deep into the heart of the zone. Last but not least Call Of Pripyat (2009) (Still set in 2012) 2 months after the events of Shadow Of Chernobyl, SBU agent Major Degtyarev, disguised as an ordinary STALKER, is travelling in the zone to uncover the reason for the crashing of five military choppers.

But could just be me 😂 still loved the vid man keep it up! 35:41 also the message explains why not to check out tunnels apparently lol
That first firefight in the car park is one of the toughest in the game. As a side note, I've played this game god knows how many times since it first came out, to the point that I can't wrap my head around the various mod packs.
Clear Sky is prequel to 1st game by a good amount of time(I think it takes place years before) and 3rd game call of pripyat is set a couple months after the end of shadow of Chernobyl, its pretty damn amazing vanilla so its bound to be super amazing improved and patched, excited for the series my dude, brings back hella high school memories
If I remember correctly, there should be a mercenary suit in one of the building’s roof you will need to do some parkour. Not sure if radiofobia change this.
@Qloud I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet but there are vehicles you can drive in this mod you can also buy some from Sidorovich and if you check around rookie village there is a free car it's not as good as the ones you can buy though.
Just a disclaimer of what Radiophobia changes from the original. It doesn't alter the main story line too much, but it does add a lot of non-canon side quests, such as finding the dynamite for Wolf, the character of the Mentor and the Seeker faction, etc. For a more vanilla experience but with improved graphics, lighting and gunplay, Autumn Aurora 2.1 is better recommended. it would make the transition to Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat smoother, as Radiophobia plays very differently from the OG games. Radiophobia is great, but it may warp how you think the games play if it is your first playthrough of Shadow of Chernobyl.
I did the same, but without mods (exept for community patch for CS) and I must say that COP is on a totally different level than the rest - quests quality and the world reactivity are superb.
The food does not "spoil" when you have food in your inventory and you enter a high rad area, the food gets radiated lmao, took me until Radar to understand this
So, in the vanilla trilogy gunplay was very different from what gamma would look like. Bullet spread was wild back then and hitting anything at range (especially with pistols) was nearly impossible.
ehh not really, last time i played was having a horrible performance, at least some case, like at night time on rostok, but its been a while since last time i played, idk the latest patch had upon improve the optimization tho

TBH Radiophobia is still better choice than Complete mod - people used to recommend it a lot for graphic, but forgetting about gameplay changes (for worse). Radiophobia provides challenge and atmosphere, so it's cool in my book for 1st playthrough. Original is quite rough and old, especially shooting that's quite bad. If you go for Clear Sky then SRP with additional fixes (Alternative Ballistic is a gamechanger for better) is enough. Call of Pripyat need no mods or patches - it's quite casual experience compared to really rough Clear Sky... BTW you get better reward for rescuing Nimble if you go there alone. Played so many time, but learned it recently.
nice i was looking for a more vanilla like experience to replay the story in a more immersive way. anomaly always kindof dragged me out with all 3 games available at the same time and random generated objectives etc. Hyped to try that
I'd recommend using a web map or something to find dead hunter/explorer stashes for the side quest when you get to it, the bodies themselves arent very hidden but the stashes are really vague and hard to find most of the time.

I think there might already be a version of focus zoom in the most recent patch, but I downloaded it off mod dB, the old the non redux version and set it up manually it works like a charm bro.
Jump from building to building and there’s a hole in the roof, suit should be in a breakable box, I remember this from years and years ago so I’m not sure if it’ll be there on the version your playing but definitely worth a quick look
Its less of a slog compared to gammas economy. There is nothing artificially holding you back so you can fly through early-mid game easily but you will pay for it if you're not prepared for the CNPP
For the playthrough of Clear Sky you should definitely try the ABR mod if you just want to get rid of the frustrating mechanics of CS but keep the most vanilla experience.
