I will say Caitlyn has the POTENTIAL with development to be a great pro. She needs to learn to play defense and not get so frustrated when length is in front of her. That’s what caused her to lose back to back championships on the collegiate level. She can’t handle a good defensive player with length, for some reason she gets flustered. The marketing of Caitlyn has made her more accessible. Marketing when her first WNBA game will be and it being streamed on the WNBA app give fans so much more access to her. If other players in the WNBA had similar marketing their probability of selling out games and increasing revenue for the team would be much higher.

Problem here is that the WNBA had zero decision and zero to do with what wnba preseason game was and was not broadcast. That was a decision made by the cable TV people. They chose to air a major league baseball game instead of a WNBA preseason game and, as a result the Chicago Sky game was not televised. The problem with negative commentary about Caitlin Clark is that way too many people involved with the WNBA comment without knowing the facts. This is a perfect example of that. This had nothing to do with the WNBA office. I am sure if they had their way, every game would be broadcast to every market. Since I’ve been watching. I’ve already seen better players in the WNBA than Clark. The media hype one person and y’all swear they’re the best because she’s the focal point. I will say Caitlyn has the POTENTIAL with development to be a great pro. She needs to learn to play defense and not get so frustrated when length is in front of her. That’s what caused her to lose back to back championships on the collegiate level. She can’t handle a good defensive player with length, for some reason she gets flustered. I don't think these women are hating on Caitlyn Clark at all. I think you should watch the video in its entirety. They bring up a really good point about "access". The marketing of Caitlyn has made her more accessible. Marketing when her first WNBA game will be and it being streamed on the WNBA app give fans so much more access to her. If other players in the WNBA had similar marketing their probability of selling out games and increasing revenue for the team would be much higher.

Problem here is that the WNBA had zero decision and zero to do with what wnba preseason game was and was not broadcast. That was a decision made by the cable TV people. They chose to air a major league baseball game instead of a WNBA preseason game and, as a result the Chicago Sky game was not televised. The problem with negative commentary about Caitlin Clark is that way too many people involved with the WNBA comment without knowing the facts. This is a perfect example of that. This had nothing to do with the WNBA office. I am sure if they had their way, every game would be broadcast to every market. Minnesota had more people in attendance as opposed to to Dallas. So the same would’ve been applicable to the Fever if they played in a 20,000 capacity venue. It would have in fact been more sparce since attendance was over 6,000 in Dallas.
