    Been using silken tofu as a super quick easy creamy sauce base. Add some spices, maybe some lemon juice or a vinegar and use a stick blender and you have quick creamy sauce in like 5 minutes. Started using that instead of the more time consuming cashew sauces

    I've been making your cashew alfredo sauce for a while now. DELICIOUS
    I usually add artichokes and peas. Sauce is also great as a white pizza sauce.
    Thank you for sharing all these great recipes.

    when you don't have soaked cashews or a vitamx, just use cashewbutter as a quick substitute

  • @Pastadudde
    @Pastadudde ปีที่แล้ว +16

    Boiling the cashews for 20 minutes breaks down phytic acid which blocks absorption of phosphorus, so it's a good practice to cook (boil / roast)/ soak roughly 8 hours when it comes to nuts / seeds before eating them, or even if you have a high speed blender that can break down unsoaked raw nuts easily.

    • @sarahdee374
      @sarahdee374 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree. I rinse cashews well, then either soak for a few hours OR simmer for 20 minutes or so and allow to cool. THEN rinse well again before using.

      @2close2themoon ปีที่แล้ว

      @@spicyyyv It's salty unlike most vinegars, but you can add it to salads, dressings or just use it straight on food. I love it on rice, especially with dark sesame oil and if you want it really rich, can add some vegan butter.

    • @gomezaddams6470
      @gomezaddams6470 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@spicyyyv I use it on sushi that has more bland vegetables like cucumber, or Daikon radish or if you're in a pinch you just cut up regular radishes. In fact the pretty good. Basically I love the taste on vegetables that are raw. But that's me. I got used to The Taste by eating the plum that they came from. And there is a sushi roll that has it in there with mountain potato, there's a Japanese word that I can say LOL little embarrassing. But they the root the plum and I'll leave called shiso it's hosomaki so the seaweed is on the outside and it's so delicious. So the vinegar when I found it went on every salad I make. To the point where I was eating too much salt so it's addicting. You learn overtime.

With somebody who really knows what they're doing. Wish I could talk to you because I'm 58 and I've been vegan my whole life. My choice not my parents it was a horrible fight! Handed up my eating to prove that you don't have to eat to live. It was nonsensical I was a kid. But it became about how skinny I can get and it just bloomed and bloomed. I'm paying for it now even though I had a really good run of perfect health. Starving yourself causes so many problems later. From your teeth to your hair and its endless. Luckily you recognize that you have the issue. I believe in you and I know that you can eat properly more properly knowing that you're eating healthy food and knowing that you're stopping cruelty. I wish we had a way to talk so that I can help you I became a chef and a doctor. Though I did not fit within the system. Take care and just keep going to vegan channels were they cook with the last pasta dish I would have put in about a half cup of parsley in the blender at the last minute. Even chopped first. The more phyto nutrients the better. Remember you're not just feeding your body you are feeding your future! XOXO you got this!

    Argh! I want to order from Thrive so badly! How are you able to receive their products? Their website says they don’t ship to Canada :(

    It annoys me that Thrive Market won’t ship to Canadian customers, but they obviously have the capability because they ship to Canadian influencers!

      @@CheapLazyVegan The PB2 cashew powder so far I’ve only found on Amazon. You should check it out. I’ve swapped it for other recipes and it’s worked just as well and made things easier and faster (and less fat).

    I wonder what shipping service thrive market uses. If they use regular postal service or FedEx I'll never get my delivery. 🤣🤣
