  • The Benelli TRK 502X is one awesome motorcycle; fantastic to do a motorcycle adventure riding tour, and on and off road test and review.
Hope you guys enjoy it, and as always, if you do, or even if you don't, i would love to hear your thoughts please, so I can create better videos moving forward, as bikes are my passion, and always will be.
It is along video, but i believe strongly in 'seeing is believing', and therefore you can be 100% confident you are getting the "real" story about this bike rather than some made up blog.

Hi mate, from England. I own a TRKx in yellow named Buzz, plus I own a Benelli 752s in green, named Rex. Love em both. Bought them after my mum passed away and riding has helped me through this period so much. I did a road trip on my TRK from London to the east coast and I was amazed by this bikes fuel eco, acceleration and handling, for it's weight. 4800 UK miles later and not a single problem. Good choice, Buddy.

Hi Custom, love the way you name your bikes 😃 I still just call mine the big B.
I too have had several personal tragedies in the last years, and I find bike therapy has helped me enormously.

@coopergumby hi Cooper, easiest way is just fill your bike, record your exact odometer reading, ride your chosen route, refill and record hiw many litres, do the math on the mileage difference.

I have one identical for 2.5 yrs now. Still no issues or bits coming loose. Roads in UK a bit quicker and I found the engine a bit buzzy so I fitted a two tooth smaller rear sprocket and the engine revs dropped nearly a thousand and made it one hell of a touring bike now without a noticable loss in acceleration.Everything you said summing up I second. 👍.

Had mine for 18 months now, 35,000K's. Fair bit of dirt road riding which it handles well. The front suspension is a bit too soft though. Bottoms out frequently on potholes, ruts etc. No major faults except those self inflicted. Had the rear ABS sensor lead trapped between the brake mounting and the frame. Lost speed and ABS indications from that. Easy fixed tho. Very comfortable on long distance rides. Just did 1000ks in one day and didn't have to get peeled off the bike at the end. My favourite rides so far, down the Buchan Way in Vic, down along the Snowy River. All around the Newnes plateau, Macquarie Pass and the Putty Road around Sydney.
Downsides, I'm always dropping it on turnarounds on firetrails and rough ground, legs are too short.

1000km in a day is a great effort, they really are an easy bike to put big km on.

Crackin review fella. Have a 2019 model and 2014 FJR - both great bikes for different types of riding. However, without doubt, at 6'1, 102 kegs and a 34" inseam the Benelli is far more comfortable for anything more than an hour. (Disclaimer there that at 53 and a few knee ops later the leg bend in the FJR is more of a thing for me).. Really appreciated the countryside too as very similar my way - (metro Adelaide with beaut country only 30 mins away). Subs, liked and looking forward to more content mate. Go well!

    Hi Mike,
I'm a Benelli leoncino trail owner. Love the bike but the suspension seems way to hard. So im on a mission to sort the harshness in the suspension.
I have found a rear shock fix through hyperpro but they don't have anything for the trail, they have front spring kits for the TRK and the road version leonchino but not the trail.
Would you be so kind to run a tape measure from the very bottom of the forks to the tops of the forks ..just where the forks end and the cap is above.
I have a sneaking suspicion thet the TRK shares the same fork legs as the leoncino trail.
Your or anyone else's input would be greatly appreciated.
