I'm 17 years old. I live in Estonia and just made my car driving liscence(have to wait when i become 18y old). I have had A1 licence for a year now and the plan is to make A2 somewhere between April and May. I have driven Aprilia 125rx(definitevly reccomend) for, again, a year.
I test drove the Benelli TRK 502 X. What can i say. I have driven very lightweight motorcycles and it feels massive, and wonderful. I'm glad that Benelli made something for A2 riders.
    Great video!

OMG THANK YOU ! It really bothers me how the UK market has written this bike off. There are barely any videos of what I feel is a fantastic offering to get on the road and look and feel like you have a BMW GS.
Great video and review, so helpful! Would be interesting to see you review a RE Himalayan !

Thank you! I rode the Himalayan in 2018 and filmed this review with MotoGeo th-cam.com/video/_tS4LHpY6cU/w-d-xo.html check it out. The Himalayan is definitely not a bad bike and will keep going forever, but lacks power, personally I think I prefer this out of the two.

Honestly, when im comparing this to say, the cb500x, as a courier who has to occassionally cover routes down farm tracks (as a replacement for my current 125) the major failings of this bike are the 4k service interval compared to honda's 8k (which means i'm out of work twice as often) and the fact its chinese.
that said, chinese bikes HAVE got a lot better over the years, and the fact some uk dealers are offering 5 year warranties(!) over the japs 2/3 year ones means I'm actually considering this.
the issue I have, of course, is unlike riders who ride for fun or to commute, taking a taxi isn't an option with my job.

Looks good. Assuming the finish holds up in the longer term, goes to show you don’t need 1300cc and £20,000 for an adventure bike. In fact for any actual off roading I’d rather be on a slightly lighter bike, and this would be enough for road use as opposed to a single cylinder more off road focused machine...
Hopefully this Chinese tie in works for Benelli, and the build quality is good. I hope that this secures the future of Benelli, a proper Italian brand with plenty of history, while increasing build quality and changing opinion of Chinese bikes. Remember, we used to think the Japanese were poor quality knock offs...

It has bunch of details than don't come stock on Honda though. The rear tire size offers better choices than Honda. It's ok if you want to take chance and live with it for a long time as it is pretty much write off financially.

Hi! Thanks for the review . In my opinion this motorcycle has some major problems for being a real aventure bike... It's much two heavy . It weights almost as a 1200 GS and it has more than a half power. In the other hand a true adventure motorcycle must be a little bit higher. I would also think about the service network before buying it. But the price is great.

Take it around a mud bank or muddy road and see how it does... I bet not quite off road and not quite adventure ready... Too much plastic in front and side flares... needs front guards and the space in front for extra fuel tanks.... It's more like a weekend leisure raider ...

No it doesn't. But not that the TRK is not a quality machine. It is. But not in the Japanese level yet. Pretty close though. On personal experience, I enjoyed the Benelli TRK 502 much more than my own Honda CB500X. And I'm talking about the new CB500X. If I were to make a choice between those two again.. I would definitely go for the Benelli.

It would be a great idea to replace the front plastic with a 10 liter spare gas tank, that would definitely would make it an adventure bike ....Get rid of all the front and sides plastic and do something useful with that space .... On the way maybe increase the front fender/tire distance by at least 5 centimeters .. Think of the users, not just cater to the ( apparent ) aerodinamic profile of the bike... Think to appeal to particular users with different configurations ...Break the mold of just looks .... Why do you think the ugly duckling Royal Enfield Himalaya is becoming an adoptee of the Adventure crowd... It is not for its looks or power, but for reliability easy adaptability.

Nice but dated. No adustable front shocks, no full digital intrument cluster, and whats with Heolgen headlights? Every other comparible brand have everything this Benelli is missing. Must be old generation and overdue for updating, especially engine capacity.
