(that's still seeing play time in clubs to this day) I just love how daft punk can continue to innovate to this day with their most recent record
My Personal ranking of Daft Punk's albums *#4: Human After All* Very disappointing, after the amazing record that was Discovery, this album was just meh, for Daft Punk at least. They seemed to adopt a strange, new sound for this album that sounds a lot like Justice, with a lot of electronic "wahs". It's not horrible, for an album overall, it's great and definitely one of the best albums that came out in 2005, but not up to DP's standard. *#3: Homework* What a great start to a legend. Everything about this album changing the EDM scene has been said, so I'll say this- this is an amazing album. The songs established a distinct sound, with its wonky sampling and flows. Around The World, Da Funk, and Revolution 909 are perfect and catchy. My only problem is that there are a few too many songs, and some of them are forgettable, like Burnin', Teachers, and the caboose Indo Silver Club, which I can't say are classics. *#2: Random Access Memories* I love the guitar riffs on this album. I don't know why. They just sound great, very much like Chic, and that makes sense since Nile Rodgers was on this album. The vocals, a departure from Daft Punk's usual robotic voices, are great, Julian Casablancas and Pharrel Williams are some important highlights. This is essentially a funk album, and because of that, some people may not like it, but it's amazing. *#1: Discovery* I fucking love this album, I won't lie. This is my favorite album of all time, above even Dark Side Of The Moon and Sgt Pepper. I could for hours and hours on why this is a perfect electronic album, but what I love the most is how each song flows perfectly into each other, which still amazes me. "Digital Love", "One More Time", "Face to Face", and "Crescendolls" have very influential to me, and remain some of my favorite songs. *Ratings (out of 5 stars)* Human After All ⭐⭐⭐ Homework ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Random Access Memories ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Discovery 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Anthony, I love the videos, but seriously, referring to Daft Punk as a bunch of "French animals" among other obscenities is unnecessary. Thanks, keep up the great work.
I love it when Anthony reviews daft punk cause like he totally like turn tables it you know how needle really drops and shit you feel like he talks and shit and he breaths and shit you know and like he reviews that shit good like eatin a towel while laying in your 2006 Ford F-150 good. The 2006 Ford F1-78 available at your nearest grandma's toffee jar for only 4.56 European dollars. Good job on this one Anthony!
This album was my introduction to electronic music and was really the foundation of what my music tastes came to be for a good 10 years down the line. Nowadays my tastes have shifted dramatically but Daft Punk is one of those bands which I will always enjoy listening to their tracks and one of the few things I get to hear on the radio (my job having the radio blasting 24/7 which I can't escape) that I actually enjoy fully.
Digital Love and Something About Us are the only Daft Punk songs where they actually sing themselves (not including around the world cause they only sing 3 words). They use really heavy autotune but it's them singing. Whereas with Harder Better Faster Stronger and all the albums since they've only used a vocoder or other people's voices.
Possibly still my overall favorite album of all time. As you grow, it grows, you learn the depth of work put into it, you can see why virtually every dj is directly influenced by Daft Punk. Yet, none can match the genius as good as some modern producers may be.
@@harmonyinultraviolet sounds like a metal band. Kinda like how if you put the name SPONGEBOB in a metal rock filter it sounds like a underground band.

I've gotta keep it real. IMO, Cross hasn't aged well at all. It was one of my favorite albums at the time of it's release, but it really became dated shockingly fast. Discovery, on the other hand, sounds absolutely timeless and still holds up today.

I remember getting shown Veridis Quo and being explained how its an anagram for discovery then being plunged into this album for months. On multiple listens you really start to see and really feel what the duo wanted you to.
Heard this album in college right when i was just starting to give electronic music (I know) a chance. This album blew my freaking mind. And at the time I had just gotten my first "audiophile" headphones. I would wish that time on any young persons musical journey, completely fantastic. Also a lot of emotion at the time, grew apart from my best ever friend and lost my way or at least the way that I had planned to go on. To wrap it up, while I am aware this album is just another great album that is a great representative of edm, but there is something magical about this album, and the way it progresses. Clearly Daft Punk is the greatest electronic artist group of all time.
Finally bought the vinyl yesterday after it had been out of stock for like over a year. Listening to it just now for the first time on vinyl, and man, what an INCREDIBLE experience. It's just one of those albums that sounds like it's been recorded yesterday, and it'll probably still sound like that in another 20 years. A perfect album from start to finish, and quite possibly in my top 10 albums of all time.
I personally think "Homework" is the true classic LP from Daft Punk. The track "Teachers" naming all the best DJ and producers at the time.. You can't go more classic than that. This album is what got me into electronic music.
Come on Fantano, I know Daft Punk are French but did you really need to make that many disparaging jokes about baguettes and white flags? Show some tact, dude. Good review otherwise.
One of my favorite albums of all time. The first four songs are ABSOLUTELY FREAKING FLAWLESS. Even the one track that goes LOVE IS IN THE AIR, too long... Holy f*ck.

Anthony, I love the videos, but seriously, referring to Daft Punk as a bunch of "French animals" among other obscenities is unnecessary. Thanks, keep up the great work.
Yeah and he didn't really have to call them "croissant eating faguettes" either
These comments are getting less funny every video
Dead meme
Biologically humans are animals so yeah
I love it when Anthony reviews daft punk cause like he totally like turn tables it you know how needle really drops and shit you feel like he talks and shit and he breaths and shit you know and like he reviews that shit good like eatin a towel while laying in your 2006 Ford F-150 good. The brand new Ford F-150 features all wheel drive, a big piano that's falls on your head, a DVD copy of Home Alone 2: Lost In New York. The 2006 Ford F1-78 available at your nearest grandma's toffee jar for only 4.56 European dollars. Good job on this one Anthony!
Complete waste i agree
Don't do crack kids
I cant throw any shade on this comment. We've all been there mentally.
This is maybe the best comment I've ever seen
100%
Uh no I think HBFS is Thomas’ voice auto tuned to hell
@@butterygoodness8242 well it's a vocoder plus some fx and not just autotune like digital love and something about us
@@athanagames I’m pretty sure Something about us and Digtal Love use harmonizers
Why is daft punk also some weak ass bounty hunter in Star Wars???
Erik Anderson almost
GORILLAZ - DEMON DAYS
Classic Review (?!)
BLΛCK SΛMPLE He hinted at it??
he has a review of demon days, he gave it an 8
thedudewiththepants I don’t thinks so he talked about in a vinyl collection but he just called it full and satisfying I think
tfw albums that came out while you were in high school start being considered "classic"
I'M NOT EVEN 30 IT'S TOO SOON PLEASE DON'T DO THIS TO ME
GOD YES
To Pimp a Butterfly classic review when?
Possibly still my overall favorite album of all time. As you grow, it grows, you learn the depth of work put into it, you can see why virtually every dj is directly influenced by Daft Punk. Yet, none can match the genius as good as some modern producers may be.
Review The Wall
do it
i believe in you
One More Time
We're gonna melon-brate.
Okay that was bad.

Radioactive Gamer he gave R.A.M. an 8/10
but yeah that was 4 and a half years ago so I get it.
He's had the Discovery LP in the background in a whole lotta videos.
Nine Inch Nails- The Downward Spiral. Please. Pleeeeeeeease Anthony you know it deserves it.
A prime example of an "album" start to finish. One of the greatest of all time.
Yes
EmpLemon is pleased
Fuck yeah
The fact that pitchfork uploaded a liner notes video at the exact same time as this video makes this comment all the more eerie.
So hard to pick my favorite track from this album, but I think Digital Love takes it.
DIGITA- ok but i think its face to face
Anthony why does your shirt say "NAZIS?" I don't think that's very advertiser-friendly.
I think it written NAJIS which means 'sh*t' in Malay.
@@harmonyinultraviolet sounds like a metal band. Kinda like how if you put the name SPONGEBOB in a metal rock filter it sounds like a underground band.
it says nails LMAO
based spirit they’re gone pfp, my favorite album ever

Superheroes and Voyager are my favorite tracks from this album. This is one of my favorite music albums, it is a true classic.
I enjoyed the review but you didn't have to go off on a rant about French people like that
Crisperz what do you mean?
Val Foin r/wooosh
Da filthy franch
I hate frogs
I swear, some idiot isn’t gonna get the the joke and a reddit virgin is gonna say woosh
ARE YOU GOING TO REVIEW CROSS (✝️) BY JUS✝️ICE??? YOU’VE SAID YOU ADORE AND LOVE THE ALBUM! PLZ DOOOOO!
Ethan Shaw watch both of his reviews of Audio, Video, Disco and WOMAN
I would love to see a review on Cross as well, but I doubt he would spend the time on it.
He gave it many praises on his Justice - Woman album review.
Cross was incredible, I think its really underestimated how amazing it was. Was pretty much the centre of the whole 'bloghouse french touch 2.0' in the 2000s.
Nik B
It actually was the “revival” of French house since Daft Punk took a break and other talented artists also did as-well.
I've gotta keep it real. IMO, Cross hasn't aged well at all. It was one of my favorite albums at the time of it's release, but it really became dated shockingly fast. Discovery, on the other hand, sounds absolutely timeless and still holds up today.
does classic/10 = 10/10?
pumpkinblush pretty much
7
I'd say at least a 9, not all his classic reviews are 100% positive to it
it means classic/10
pumpkinblush nah, some are 9/10. On rateyourmusic, he has Kid A rated with a 9/10 even though he considers it a classic
he complained that a song called too long is too long jesus christ
Classic review on The Strokes “Is This It” ?
Ayye Lmao Why ?
Charles McBrian Whoops
Yes
he really should, i mean he’s said multiple times that it’s one of his favorite albums of all time
Feel like shit just want another daft punk album😭
Well, yeah about that....
@@butterygoodness8242 ???
@@seanboyle4467 I was referencing their break up but you clearly didn’t get that
@@butterygoodness8242 my original comment was in reference to their breakup, which you clearly didn’t get lol
@@seanboyle4467 the way you said it doesn’t make sense in context of their breakup, saying you want another album doesn’t reference their breakup that’s just you wanting another album

Voyager is the best, most unrated, and best overall song of all music. Best electronic song defiinitly
This album makes me nostalgic for the early 2000s and toonami anime. Such a gem
Review Ágætis Byrjun melon 😿
Now THAT one's a classic

❤
Was there any album by Sigur Ros Fantano did like?
He did Valtari and Kveikur.
Holy shit it's happened.
I remember getting shown Veridis Quo and being explained how its an anagram for discovery then being plunged into this album for months. On multiple listens you really start to see and really feel what the duo wanted you to.
Their best album in my opinion. Also the movie this goes with is worth a watch as well!
TH-cam recommendations really blessed me today with this one
I actually want a classic review on Arcade Fire's Funeral
Melon do your top 3 favourite songs for each classic album
What the fuck. This isn't contemporary.
Edit: OH SHIT, IT'S CLASSICS WEEK.
Antny, for the love of god, will you please finally review a Smiths album?
Austin
He already did. Look up his review of Syre by Jaden Smith.
MrLCGO OoOOooh, with comments like that you're really gonna get me peeved off.
Austin you mean an album from the smiths? The queen is dead is my favorite
The Queen Is Dead 10/10 trans-
ition
BUT PLEASE REVIEW KING GIZZARD
Come on Fantano, I know Daft Punk are French but did you really need to make that many disparaging jokes about baguettes and white flags? Show some tact, dude. Good review otherwise.
Split Suns shut the fuck up
I just can't believe he would call them "frogs" 27 times. I've never seen such hatred for the french people.
Redpillow2 I'm glad someone agrees with me on this one.
No he didn't. You're lying. You're a liar!!
Split Suns That one was pretty good, I'll let it slide
One of my favorite albums of all time. The first four songs are ABSOLUTELY FREAKING FLAWLESS. Even the one track that goes LOVE IS IN THE AIR, too long... Holy f*ck.
High life has got to be the most underrated Daft Punk track; voyager is great too but high life has such a cool chord progression.
