Im planning to take psych next year(in 11th) and in a family function i told like a 60year old grandpa that im planning to take arts and then psychology, and he was like "which is basically like a doctor right?" I was yes! And he was like "okay wow, good". From what i had imagined that elders mostly would be like yeah no this has no scope etc, him (and some others too) looked actually a bit awed and even proud (my aunt who lives abroad especially looked proud) im happy im with these sorta people!
im not really clear about it all but im pretty sure u cant use doctor if u r taking arts right? its nowhere like a doctor. its not clinical. u need to take science for that

i’m currently in grade 10th and will move to 11th in a month and i’ll be pursuing psychology! i swear i had so many misconceptions about this career because of the taboo here but your videos gave me so much insight and now i’m even more excited to excel in this field

Yes pls do a part 2 because your videos teach us a lot, help us a lot. To be honest I really want to pursue the career and so I'm working hard for my HS exam but at the same time I'm quite tensed if I'll get the subject 1. I don't have psychology in my school 2. Only few govn colleges in the whole city have the subject. Still I'll try my best and your videos practically motivates me a lot ❤️ 🥺

I am in 10th now and I have choosen psychology as my 6th subject for 11th
I was talking about this to my teacher and she said that practice medication to excel in psychology
She also insisted how it's mentally super tiring and you can never have time for your own problems
I personally don't think we need mediation or need to hve no personal problems to be a great psychologist
But if kind of influenced me on how she talked
I would like to know your thoughts on this if possible

Hey, very informative and great content! I had a question, if your client is telling you something traumatic that happened to them and starts crying remembering it because it was so horrible to experiment, how would you console them? Is hugging okay (with consent ofc, and how do you ask for it?)? Or do you just comfort them with empowering words and validating their experience? Or do you just let them cry it all out? Anything else you could do as a therapist in this situation?
It all depends on the client. The answer will differ for every person

I am actually confused as to should i opt for psycology in my collage yrs.. i was thinking of taking a polity honrs... i actually messed up my 12 a bit and i was thinking about making it right and all and psycology has always intrigued me and like i really wanted to study it but.. does it like .. i don't know how to say thia but could you like explain what exactly is it that you study in psychology..like is the structure of the brain or somethin like that required and all..

It would be better di if the sound volume could be increased like I don't have any problem getting earphones to listen but for people who don't have it at that moment might not watch it and then later forget about it. I think good sound makes the video more approachable. Btw ily mamagoat ❤️

I want to study psychology,But I have this thing that when ever I read about a certain disease I kind of start to obsess over it and read all the symptoms to make sure i do not have it .I am concerned if studying psychology and learning about disorders will affect me
She told in one of her Instagram reels that you can't just self diagnose yourself by looking at the symptoms , it's a long process which takes time even if you consult a clinical psychologist

No it doesn't take too much effort to become a clinical Psychologist, just one year after MA is enough for RCI Licence

Im currently in my first year of BA in psychology, i have always wanted to study abroad & was thinking of doing my masters there, but is there scope of abroad masters like germany/france etc if i return back to india, or is my indian degree valid in different countries and can i practice there if i do my masters from india?
One year master in abroad in invalid in India ...India edu policy need only 2 yr master..also...so you cannot practice here...but Indian degree including MPhil clinical are valid in Singapore and some gulf countries ..

Yes you can do MSc in Clinical Psychology after your BSc

You can't become a clinical psychologist with just a BSc. You'd need MA/MSc and MPhil for that.
