A sublime rendition of Ravel's Pavane pour une infante dèfunte. Transcription well suited to the Instrument and Acoustic of Ripon Cathedral. A Sensitive visual narrative by Tom. Thank you both.
A beautiful piece, well suited for organ transcription. I've been watching Jonathan for years and just discovered that if one clicks the "more" button, he gives a complete breakdown of the organ, its history, its pipes, and its control. Wow!
Greetings from Boise, Idaho! The more I listen to you, Jonathan, the more impressed I am with the infinite variety of colors, timbres and sounds that you bring out of these magnificent instruments. The pianissimos are just as powerful as the fortissimos, if not more so. Tom, again you have outdone yourself with the perfect images that fit the music. I am always in awe of your artistry and how perfectly you match the visual and the aural. Well done, both of you! I am looking forward to a visit with the both of you in Salt Lake City!
Gorgeous!! A beautiful piece played exquisitely by Jonathan on the magnificent organ of the sublime Ripon Cathedral. Lovely visuals accompanying this piece Tom. Thank you both for this, it is stunning!! xx
I cried with inconsolable pity, as though doing so, with so many grieving parents who must have chosen to have this beautiful pavane played for a dear departed daughter who was cruelly taken from them before their time had rightfully come.
Jonathan, I love those moments of animation at the keyboard, even tho I get uncomfortable pathos because of it. Combined with Tom's video captures, I can get very breathless. Sigh.
Я прослушала эту музыку еще несколько раз . И наконец то поняла . Она красивая ! Печальная только в начале , а завершается светлой надеждой . Душа покинула этот мир и переселилась в мир гораздо лучший .❤
Can envision the court dancing then am puzzled by "defunte" in the title. A dance? A lament? The theme is stately and mysterious allowing for both. Engrossing and alluring performance. Thanks for sharing. 💐💐🎹🎶
One of my all time favourite pieces of music.

I chose this for my wife's funeral last year, it just seemed so fitting somehow.
A dynamic duo with sound and sight - thank you both

Beautiful and melancholy piece by Raval. Thanks

Beautiful arrangement of this gorgeous and sad piece😊
Oh, good it's not a "dead pavane". Thank you for that. Lovely job all around. Happy Valentines Day you two.❤❤ XX

Ravel once said the title had nothing to do with the composition. He merely liked the sound of the words.
@@johnopalko5223 Those silly impressionists! 😉

Google translates this as “Strut for a deceased infanta”. I have always thought it to be “Pavane for a Dead Child”.
I shall not comment.
