What a wonderful performance, beautiful transcription, flawlessly performed and with the typical English voicing of this organ which suits this piece so well.
This was a 8:36 minute immersion into a wonder world.

Among the top three greatest tunes ever written by the hand of man. You know what I mean.
Not all orchestral works transcribe well into works for organ, but this one does. Another wonderful performance, Jonathan!
He's such a brilliant transcriber of orchestral works for organ. I play some of his transcriptions e.g. Tch 1812, and find them a glorious experience to play.
I've chatted to him about them (at Derby Cathedral). I truly believe that he doesn't realise how brilliant he is.
Maybe that's what propels him forward!

Mankind is capable of some simply amazing feats and I think what Jonathan does time after time on the organ is a perfect example of this.

Such a sensational piece of music, it inspires me to live. I absolutely adore the orchestral version and have always struggled to find good transcriptions to just solo instruments. But this got me in the same place emotionally, to a place where I’m lost in a sea of beautiful music hoping it won’t end. If you see this comment then I give you a whole standing ovation. Also going to listen to it again for good measure ❤

I'm sure Jove _would_ approve (who wouldn't!), but I think you'll find that's a big model of Earth (in Chester cathedral), not Jupiter.
