H3 pvp feels way harder and way more bullet spongy than Reach/H2. I can't seem to get any kills. 7 max at best. Been a long time since my Xbox 360 days.

Bonus tip: Always wear flaming recon or full katana armors as that makes you special and intimidates the enemy thus getting you more kills. Also adding your twitch url to the clan tag gets you an extra damage boost
Incredibly informative! I first played Halo on the PC way back and just got together with a friend to run games. I had forgotten how much fun this game is and I'm improving tremendously, especially with this info.
Another tip I'd recommend on smaller maps is sneaking. If you have a close range power weapon and see someone approaching your position on the motion tracker, more often than not sneaking towards the entrance to ambush them secures kills pretty easily, even if the enemy knows you're there. Top players though can get around this with bouncing grenades, but they would have to know approximately where you are.
This isn't the case in H3, especially in snipers. Any half decent KBM user will destroy fantastic controller players with the sniper, it's not even close. The BR is still slightly disadvantaged, but not by nearly as much as the other games.
@@ShaneClough No it IS the case in H3. Nobody plays lots of team snioers like you do, fool. Every player spawns with a BR and the BR only works properly with a controller. With mnk, you'll only be able to land 2/3 of the full BR burst shot which proves how much of an advantage controllers have. Sorry but it's true, it's borderline aimbot.
Excellent video. Been playing Halo for years and have plenty of time put in on Halo MCC and decided to pick it up on PC as well. Big thing for me is the no aim assist. Sadly, it's a huge crutch when playing on Xbox so it's been tough adapting to that as I'd like to get better with KBM. Still think I need to fine tune my sensitivity settings.

Same dude. I played this franchise since 06 and I really sucked because I was about 3 years old and and I got alot better when I got older. I still play with a controller no matter what the platform is because it gives me a nostalgic feeling and I feel alot more comfortable with it. My bro has the xbox so I bought a controller and plugged it in my pc so I can get back into the feeling I had a long time ago :)
Most of these tips were very good, as it's kinda hard to give explicit tips in H3 as the game is super simplified compared to CE and H2, but one pretty important thing I feel you maybe should have touched on is plasma nade instasploding. I understand it's not really a beginner tip, but I think it's important to at least mention that you can make plasmas instantly explode in the air if you have another nade explode near it whilst it's flying. I feel like this could have been useful to put in the section about nades, as that more or less was just "throw the nades at the enemy".
@@ldib7798 In Halo 1, the M+K is still supreme. In halo 3, the aim assist is too powerful, plus the original button mappings are pretty good on their default settings compared to the clusterF that is the default key bindings.
@[cooler] xVS 1[UNIT] I am literally telling you that its not balanced. Having played with both, my kill/death ratio was significantly better with controller. I barely lose games anymore where I was getting demolished before. Experience may vary. Feel free to experiment yourself. My mouse is also kind of old and beaten up so take it for what it is. Good vid. However Id say dont worry about timing weapons unless you are playing hardcore. I also dont think nade jumping is ever useful bar very rare oddball instances.
I've always been told to lead my shots with the BR and strafe to be unpredictable, but no matter how much I do it, I can never get more than 7 kills in a single match. I seriously don't know why I suck at this so much and I'm not having fun. I want to get better and have fun, but it's so difficult to do that. There's always that one try hard player who gets like 15 kills in the first minute.
@@Arrrash Yeah i 100% see why people would prefer h3, theirs some more tricks you can do, weapons are alot more balanced but i just personally find h2 to feel smoother.
I've been playing Halo 3 for a few hours now, but with Halo 2 it's easier to get kills especially with melee while 3 I can melee a guy when shooting and they will still be alive.

The best tip is dont take it serious. The game is so inconsistent and the hit reg flat out doesn't work half the time so no point in taking a broken game serious.
I Suck at Halo 3 hardcoe. I'm on PC & I mainly play as an elite. What I don't get is how Enemies in Hardcore can easily 2-shot me with a BR in under 0.25 seconds

Just earlier today on The Pit, I was playing hardcore CTF, I was going round the corner of the map away from my teammates, and the enemy red guy literally 2-shot me in under half a second. There were no other players in that section of the map. In other games, I get BR-Meleed, which shouldn't be possible, since 1 hit from a BR shouldn't make me weak enough to sucumb to a melee hit. And I NEVER play SWAT in Halo 3. So something weird is up. Plus my Wifi is very strong.
Arrrash I use mouse and keyboard only. Honestly controllers is only blatantly better for h2, reach and h2a. While it’s slightly better for h3 for 4 vs 4 game modes. For BTB or other modes, MKB is the way to go
I predict this game to die very quickly. As a person who's played Call of Duty half my life I've gotten used to the fact that when I shoot someone, they die. In this game you shoot someone, shoot someone, shoot someone, shoot someone, shoot someone and get 1-hit killed by a spartan laser. It's just not a fun game to get into with the ridiculously bad weapon balance.
@@Arrrash I think it's the biggest issue. The horrible weapon balance removes all skill from the gunfights and everything just boils down to who has the stronger weapon. The easiest way to fix this would be to either add a class customization system or remove the 1-hit weapons altogether.
@@Arrrash Yes I'm a cod player and I do prefer the faster pace of those games. But I also like the fact that Halo has a different approach with the higher ttk and equal starts. If it wasn't for the bs instant kill weapons and the bad balancing I would love these games much more.

It's very circumstantial, I disagree with using it at the end of gunfights often, just kind of hangs you in the air and increases your moonjump predictability. It does have it's uses but not a total go-to. My thoughts at least, no idea what Alex K's reasoning is.

Lol okay Jose, if anything, it makes you an easier target as you float in the same relative spot for longer. Dumb thing to try to do in most cases, useful in few scenarios.

TIp 1 should have been "play with a controller" because the aim assist is so broken you're at a massive disadvantage on KB/m. All skill.

Use an Xbox controller on PC to easily increase your score. Aim assist is wildly overpowered.

i think i'm the only person who thinks halo 2 has a better mp than 3, there both great but the projectile based netcode just feels more clunky imo

Hopping is a soft-cheat tactic, even more on console. With this you trick your opponent's aim-assist, so them can't even aim you.
