You are right! There’s also the folks out there that think it all needs to be gluten-free. The only people that need that are the ones with celiac disease or sensitivity.
It’s a natural reaction for an apology to come out.. I’m the exact same way- I seriously don’t think mary is sincerely sorry but it’s makes her feel better to say “sorry”.. it’s a part of her personality and who she is...*MARY I LOVE THE WAY YOU ARE PLEASE DON’T EVER CHANGE A THING FOR ANYONE ELSE❣️🥰
Dear Mary Loved this video, listening to you talk about butchering chickens it was something that my family and grandmothers did as well, there were nine of us so my parents taught us how to raise and butcher. So it was passed onto me. There is nothing that taste any better. You are such an inspiration. I have learned so much from your channel. All the Christmas decor is stunning. I want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and Blessed 2023🎄🎉🎊
I’m glad you used the powdered snow. It looks realistic. Your dishes look pretty in the cabinet! You’re one of the hardest working women I’ve seen. I’m sure your dinner was delicious!
I love how everything turned out, especially your card tree. The recipes all looked delicious. I always enjoy your videos and you're definitely one of my favorite TH-camrs.
Funny story. When my mom was in hospital after having my sister, my dad who grew up on a farm and I had a whole chicken to cut up to fry. It grossed us both out so much we ate out the next few days! That was 1974. He is 87 yrs old.
I’ve been watching some of your older videos … you are amazing!! I love all the ideas you have and how nothing goes to waste. I’m inspired each and every time I watch you.
We just processed 37 chickens to fill our freezer. It is the best feeling knowing that you are eating your own chicken that was fed well and so much better taste wise - a lot of value for a little bit of effort.
It is always so fun to see what you are up to. I love the simplicity of your Christmas decorating. The green dishes are beautiful! I love the Christmas tree card idea!! I also appreciate the recipe and dinner ideas. I am always up for those!! You are so fun to watch!! You inspire!!
Greetings from NC!!! Thank you for keeping life simple and sweet. Our world is in total chaos, we need simplicity, charm and lots of love when caring for our families. YOU DO AN AMAZING JOB ❤,thank you for all your hard work🎉
I love the idea of all whites. I found you 2 weeks ago and you got me up from the chair... I've painted my front wall surrounding my Christmas red fireplace, grey green and White cliff beige. I love it! Now on to the rest of my entire house. Haven't painted in 25 years, my how time flys! Thank you Mary🌟😊
Mary, once again, you have managed to wow me with your aesthetics! The simplicity of it plus the energy and heart that goes into each design project you undertake are its most endearing quality. Keep doing what you do, Mary. All best!❤️ PS. I love the subtle way you’ve managed to add color to your attire lately.😊👍🏼👍🏼
Thoroughly enjoyed this video. After my daughter passed away 2 years ago the holidays have been exceptionally difficult. This is the first year I’ve actually enjoyed all the cooking and baking. I want to try your dressing. Looked delicious. My wish is that you and your family have a very Merry Christmas.
Hi Mary, greetings from rural Queensland, Aust. I have a confession to make! I have NEVER in my nearly 72 years, Never sent a Christmas Card. I was a working mother of 3 boys, an RN and was always busy working or studing. I used to tell friends not to send me a card as I never have time to do the same. In fact, I can remember getting a card for the letter box once, opening it to see who it was from, then putting it in the bin as I walked inside. I did however phone my friends and relatives and have a chat catch up before Christmas. I don't remember ever having Christmas Day off work until much later in my career when I could pick and choose my work hours. Anyway have a happy and safe Christmas 2024, it is coming up soon enough.
Everything looks beautiful! Those Russian, Mexican cookies or wherever they are from are my Favorite! So simple and so delicious. I make them all the time.
You are so enjoyable to watch. Vanilla is so easy :) For the size bottle you have, fill 2/3 full with Vodka and 10 high grade vanilla beans (sliced down center) Put lid/cap on, and place in cool dry dark cabinet. wait at least 3 months, I check it every couple weeks, shake, and make sure beans are below alcohol level. Best at 6 months and over .Beautiful dark color. You can add more alcohol or beans at any time. (Rum, Whiskey work also) Merry Christmas!!!!
Mary, I have a project that I don't think I've never seen you make it on a TH-cam, but you might already know about it. Take your old Christmas cards. Put the back of the Christmas card if you want to on the back of the piece of 2 / 2 / 42 / 6 sand them down, paint them, make them look old paint them white and sand them off and take them a little bit around the edges. Then put the Christmas card. On the front glue it on the front and you can do some little embellishment. If you want to end in the corner with a little bow or some green me off of berries is just so cute. It's just it looks just like something you would make and you would have in your house so you might want to think about that with your old christmas cards
Mary, changing our mind is the way to improve things. If no one ever changed their mind there would never be any new inventions, no new discoveries in the medical field or any of that. We would be stuck in time. Also, I make those cookies every year they are my absolute favorite! They go by so many different names all around the world. I have heard rum balls, bourbon balls, Russian tea cakes Russian tea cookies, I have taken to calling them pecan snowballs. So absolutely delicious no matter what they're called! Merry Christmas
Love everything you do. Love the card tree what a beautiful idea to show case your cards. I tape mine to my closet door lol so maybe I could do what you did I just love it. ❤️ Your home is absolutely beautiful. Thank-you Mary for sharing all your great ideas with us. You are so blessed with all your talents. Merry Christmas to you and your family 🎄❄️⛄️🦌
Hi Mary everything looks beautiful 😍 i love everything you do. I have been following you for 6 years now. Happy Birthday for Saturday wishing you many blessings on your special day 🎂 🙏 your birthday 🎂 is on the Same day as my son. Xx
Your home looks so beautiful with all the white and green. Food looks delicious as always!! The Christmas card tree is absolutely perfect!! Merry Christmas and God bless.
Love these ideas! Simple and not expensive, perfect! The broccoli salad is one of our favorites here in the upper Midwest. I like to add salted roasted sunflower seeds and raisins. Yum
I'm watching this again for the 3rd time since you put it out at least. I have one serving platter from that ivy dish set, I really love it. So neat to know that there is the possibility of finding an entire set! I never get tired of watching your videos and often watch them multiple times! Thank you for sharing what you do Mary!
OMG the sweet kitty cat ate a little onion piece that fell to the floor and then she didn't like it and spat it out!!!!! Oh I so love the kitty. BTW, I want to thank you so much for the recommendation on the towels for cleaning windows (forget the name already). I cleaned all of my windows and my gosh what a difference!!!!!! Now please tell e how to clean?wash them, there is a lot of dirt I picked up. And of course your decoration is always on pointe. Cheers and Merry Christmas
Mary! How ironic you mentioned the homemade vanilla extract. I just watched a video last night with Kelly Barlow showing us how to make extracts! The vanilla extract she was making look exactly like your bottle except it was a little clearer because it has to sit for a few weeks. You may want to check that out as I know I am going to try it as well! Especially since you say it's a wonderful and extracts are extremely expensive. I'd think I'd used it a lot more if I had these larger quantities and they were homemade and at my disposal. She also did lemon, almond, coconut, Orange well, all in all she did seven different ones! I know she would be very happy if you viewed her site as she is going through some terribly difficult times right now but managing to keep upbeat for the most part.
Bring back so much memories of raising chickens, the trig tree🎄 .when we lived on the farm.my mom and grandma did a lot of things you did and talked about. How exciting it was for you to share these.Thank you for sharing these with us mary.
Food looks delicious….I know what you mean about never thinking your dressing is as good as your mom’s….with me it’s my dad’s potato salad. Love the decorations, all is perfect!!!!!
When you finally put the little green trees and fake snow with the white houses, I’ve thought-Perfect!! I always enjoy your decorating videos, and especially this one. A merry, blessed Christmas to your family.
I made from scratch dressing for Thanksgiving and everyone just loved it. They all asked what kind it was lol I said DYI Laura dressing 😋 I love cooking from scratch!!
Mary, I know winters can be harsh in Ohio. I would recommend taking your little rosemary bushes and put them in your beautiful shed. The cold should not hurt them. Just water them periodically really well and they should live. I keep rosemary pots on my deck here in west Georgia year round. We get 32 degree weather sometimes and the cold does not seem to hurt my plants. All the light in your little shed would be perfect for them! GOOD LUCK!
I love all of your green and white for Christmas, very serene and pretty. Btw, I also butchered chickens when I was a teenager, I learned to cut off the heads, dunk in hot water and defeather the birds right down to gutting them and cutting them up to be frozen. I loved working alongside my siblings and parents while we put away the chickens. I am going to make that broccoli salad, I already have the ingredients, we will enjoy it tomorrow. Thank you for the video, I always enjoy yours.
You are so gifted with home improvement and designing I'm in awe...of your God given talents....truth I learn different looks techniques in design listening as well as watching you. You instruct as you carry on... natural I mean, not poorly scripted.. I appreciate that thanks
I never thought of putting carrots, eggs and milk in my stuffing. I use onion, celery, chestnuts, and sausage. I wouldn't.mind trying yours. It looks delicious.
I used to make the Mexican wedding cookies only my family called them snow ball cookies. My kids didn’t care for them, so I quit. My aunt always made piselli cookies. My German family, my moms family
I love your Christmas village display and Christmas card holder! Your plaid apron and green plaid dress are adorable! Merry Christmas to you and your family and a blessed New Year!
I printed out your print outs and they look soooo pretty!! I’m so glad you did that tree I was trying to figure out how to make it all go together and now I know!!! Thanks for all your hard work!!! 21:5410:08
Mary, I found a wonderful way to have snow on my entry table and for my village. I bought a length of white fur fabric and cut it to fit. It fluffs up and really gives the look of snow, with no mess, and the little trees and houses stand up in it just fine. I really enjoy your videos. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Good morning, Mary! I like that you changed your snow from batting to glittery powder. I was thinking the batting looked like a blizzard had covered your village. :) Your kitchen looks so inviting - so simply beautiful!!! And I love your twig card tree!!! What a great idea!!! I wish I would have room for one. Thank you for sharing another inspiring video!!!
And the cookies do go by lots of names! But in the old cookie cookbooks, they were called "Russian Tea Cakes" (not "balls"). I make them frequently, and they are always a hit.
Love how you decorate for Christmas. It’s very charming n cozy. Some people tend to over do it everywhere. I’m not that type of person. I just like a few things here n there. For example like yours. I love those cookies you made. They’re my favorite all year around. Your right many names for them. I remember the first time I watched my Mama make them, they became our traditional cookies in our home at Christmas time. Wishing you n your family a memorable Christmas with much love, joy n laughter. ♥️😊👍🌟🌟🎄

I so enjoy watching your videos. You have such great decorating ideas. Every room so comfy and calming. And watching you cook is always joy as well. Brings back memories of my grandmothers and mother cooking using only natural ingredients, generally from home gardens and local butchers who only sold the best. Merry Christmas to you and yours. 🎄
Mary, quit apologizing for something that you either bake or cook. Who cares if it is organic or not. It all looks very good.
You are right! There’s also the folks out there that think it all needs to be gluten-free. The only people that need that are the ones with celiac disease or sensitivity.
Yes, please Mary, and I love seeing you making traditional, normal food as our elders used to cook! Very refreshing!
