I love what you did! Your home is beautiful! Most importantly, I love that you DIDN'T rush out to buy cheap, trendy decor made outside the USA (like so many people think is necessary) but used your own talents and gifts to decorate your home. @@sunflowerbrown5823 I agree! It appears that some people equate buying cheap, natural-looking decor with holiday happiness........but that's just not true at all! Hey, what happened to real trees, real wreaths and the real scent of pine boughs throughout a home? Why did all of that get pushed aside for natural-LOOKING plastic stuff made in China? I'm not buying it!! Nope!
Some of the out of the country made items are sold in some privately owned shops and stores and are their bread and butter. I'm one of them. Please don't judge.
The older I've gotten, the more I love the simple cozy winter decor that stays up until spring.
Boy isn't that the truth. I used to take down all my pictures and put up a whole bunch of Christmas decorations and then have to take it all down and put it away. That's 65 I am enjoying the calm cozy General winter decorations

Reminds me of a Scandinavian Christmas esthetic, minimal, and natural. That look seems to carry over the winter months a bit better that more traditional Christmas decor. This year I am going in this direction as well.

That's funny that twinkle sleeps on the towel. I trained my cats when they were small to sleep on towels and they knew that wherever I put a towel that was their spot

I have used a softer green paint for Christmas , then used the deep green vinyl for my wording. But I had the deep green on hand. Love the shade of green paint you got. I think it is the perfect Christmas Green…if there is such a thing. I guess in the eyes of the beholder right?

Very cozy and beautiful. I too have suffered from saggy sofa cushion syndrome! My solution is to measure how much quilt batting it will take and then cut it to cushion size. Unzip and carefully tuck the new layer in. It magically looks new again!

Dear Mary, you are such an inspiration. We have a camphor laural tree in our garden, I thought I could cut some discs and do the same. I don't have a cricket or anything like it but I thought I could paint snow flakes (free hand) and either give them as presents and / or hang them from our tree or leave them lying about as decorative pieces. Can't wait to get out there and check out for branch falls. Of course, we are in rural Queensland, Australia and summer is scorching hot and it never, ever snows here. Stay safe. Luci

Love the pillows….I use drop cloth for curtains in the farmhouse…material gets so soft the more you wash it..easy to sew and I have pets so glad it’s washable
