2016 Range Rover Evoque Review & 'Off-Roadish' Test - Would you buy one?

I take the 2016 Range Rover Evoque on a test driver around britain's awful roads and down a gravel track to get a glimpse of what its like off-road.
This particular car is the 2016 Range Rover Evoque HSE Dynamic TD4 with the 2.0L Diesel engine and 51,000 miles on the clock.

I’ve got the XE R-Sport same year and it does 30mpg in normal mode. In Dynamic it drinks. But the car hasn’t given me problems. Clean mot each year too. I want to be higher up now so this sounds like a decent step up.

Well done mate, smashing review. Most Evoque’s suffer from the boot latches and always strike the body as it comes down. I always think people will buy a Range Rover regardless how highly priced they are - they’re baby Range Rovers at the end of the day. And normal Range Rovers sell, even though their reliability is, well, not good.

That was not exactly off road.... more like a bit of gravel. Take it off road and do a real review. It's fantastic.
Your smile will be glued to your face for days. It's so enjoyable to take off road with actual hills, grass, gravel or even sand.
Whatever you throw at it, it just deals with and fills you with confidence.

I know man, did mention it wasn’t really off road but given I’ve driven down that gravel track with a normal car, the comparison between the evoque and that car is incomparable. I bet it’s awesome off road

The Ford engine is the more reliable, it also maps up to more hp at 240bhp. No cam chain issues.

Another spot on review dude, i never understood the reasoning behind the coupe like styling, wasn't for me. Off road was quality mate, one thing land rover can do well

Could be, it’s not the best anyway
