I agree with last comment. Craig's style of explaining things and how to do everything is great and easy to understand along with his videos. Great job Brother.
Thank you for taking the time to watch and the comment! It is greatly appreciated. I will look into that and a get a video out on it. Thanks for the info!
Great video! You have a amazing gift at exploring things in Laymans terms. I’m totally totally new to this. Honestly I had no clue to how much was out there. It’s insane! My question is what’s the best way to use this radio for emergencies besides just the NOAA radio set up? Also if so do you have a video pertaining to that answer? Thanks again liked & subscribed.
Hi, thank you for the explanation. When you set the radio to show the "Name" of the frequency, is there a way to show the frequency number under name? Just because sometimes someone asks "what frequency are you at?"
Thank you for taking the time to watch and the comment! It is greatly appreciated. the only way i know to do that is to set up band A to show the name and band B to show the frequency
Thank you for taking the time to watch and the comment! It is greatly appreciated. Fear not, i have learned some ways around this issue for future videos.
This is a troublesome little radio. There are now three software setups needed to program them entirely. As I use this radio, choosing to utilize my radios after de-boxing, the speaker sound has actually changed, but hasn't improved itself. Less tinny. More distorted. Chirp came through with a partial setup, but the software drama and learning curve were just not worth it. At the time this video was made, it was necessary to spend many hours inputting each individual frequency and setting. There was no importing of data. Since this "Edward Scissorhands" edition, there have been two more case versions. The term "Cluster-something" comes to mind. Finally, whatever advanced features it has are poorly explored due to bad documentation. Too many wild cards. But they're cheap.
