I have an Allstar Node setup at my home QTH. I was crossband repeating in to my allstar node. There are many videos here on youtube that can show you what an allstar node is....too much to describe here in detail. Thx for watching!
I can not for the life of me get my 17R too work on chirp; I get Error reading data from radio; Not the amount of data we want. Does any ne have suggestion?
Chirp or Baofeng software? Do you get same error with either? maybe when you get the error...turn off radio, reseat connector in to radio, turn radio back on, click ok. Also, have you successfully communicated with the cable you are using in the past? Long shot, turn volume control all the way up after plugging in cable. I've had that work (I don't know why, maybe coincidence).
@@higginsreport thanks for the reply. I figured it out. Even though it was only a basic 17R, I had to use the 17 Pro software to make it work. Thanks again!!
Nice to see someone actually use this instead of just do unboxing
Even the cat sounds English when it meowed. 😂. But this is really cool to see just how functional this radio is. I just order mine today.
Great explanation, good graphics, glad you showed all of the equipment involved.
Thoroughly enjoy the presentation. I live right outside of Oak Forest not too far away from you. 73
All that wind and I'll bet there's not a single wind turbine anywhere around there.
Can you explain the allstar connection?

I have an UV-17R and a RPi-3 What do I need to build an Allstar Node?
Take a look at a SHARI node....kits4hams dot com. You can get a kit or you can get it fully assembled.
