"Darryl sent to Dwight to FTWD which is arguably a fate worse than death". I wouldn't wish post S3 FTWD on my worst enemy
I'm happy you said post-season 3 because season 3 of ftwd is one of the best seasons in the entire franchise
@@1983metsfan I hate that I have to agree with you.
@@1983metsfan I enjoyed season 6 with the death cult plotline. Though I've heard before that that season was apparently outsourced to ghost writers. Which would explain why it was actually good. Bc S5 is one of the most painfully boring seasons of television I've ever sat through.
Imagine a town of 16 houses and 32 people destroying a factory with an absurd amount of people and a class system
Bro what are you talking about history is full smaller forces taking on and defeating larger forces
@@josephterry1390 This large they ain't. Half of the Alexandrian's can't even shoot 😭
@@josephterry1390 name 3. If it's so "Full"
Eugene is the reason they defeated the saviors. Without him, they would have all died.
@@PowuhToSeven Battle of Mogadishu,The Siege of Bastogne, The Battle of Guantánamo bay
They did Carl so dirty with such an abrupt unceremonious death
You're right, Ty. Killing off Carl was a terrible decision for so many reasons......good grief.
Better dead than in the hands of the gimp
Season 8 is so underrated. It’s balls to the wall action in every episode. None of the episodes ever felt slow. Especially the back half. It’s one of my favorite seasons.
I never watched the show again after the mid season finale 💀 I was soooooooo PISSED when they killed Carl off. I had to unfollow the entire cast on all social media (mind you I was like a teenager when it aired) because of how mad I was LMAO
Something interesting about Gregory is that his actor is very good at playing characters you're supposed to hate because he's also in Candyman as the husband of the main lead Helen.
He’s in Nikita too and MAN did I hate his character. Yet, he also plays smart evil characters. His actor is amazing
Oh shit! That was him!! I couldn't place him, but I knew I'd seen him in something before.
IMO Wrath is the true finale of TWD. Especially with no Carl
Morales should have stayed for a while-- Hed be someone among the saviors who could vouch for Rick after the final battle and convert the saviors to his side. It would be easier to buy that Rick was able to convince so many of them, while Negan is still alive.
I always liked Gavin- I like the implication that the reason the Kingdom had a bit of leeway on things is because they got the 'reasonable' guy
It's always great to see your videos and progress. Keep up the amazing work, and I'm looking forward to seeing more once they are ready. Your dedication is inspiring!
Hey thanks so much mate! I really appreciate that
I already know this is gunna be PEAK!!
Rick talks about the "broken window theory" in the show to Maggie before doing this.
My biggest problem with the war against the Saviors is how they completely forget about the rules they'd set up earlier in the series. Suddenly, people rose as Zombies a minute after they'd died, even if we'd already seen in season one that it takes several hours to turn. Inconsistencies like those were one of the main things that turned me off from the series as a whole.
I just finished rewatching the savior arc video so this came at a perfect time! Thank you for making this video and I’m looking forward to watching it! All out war was one of my favorite arcs more in the comics than the show but I still enjoyed it all the same.
All out war is seriously fantastic in the comics. One of my favourite arcs next to the whisperers.
Season 8 has moments I really love, but overall I don’t think it translated as well
I completely agree with season 8 not handling this right and Carl’s death was the worst in this season in particular
Also, good point bringing up Jared one of the slimiest and terrible Saviors who lasted way to long and caused crazy Morgan to come back.
I got to meet the actor who played Jared at a convention and he is the sweetest guy ever. I told him he was a great actor because Jared was so unlikable lol it’s crazy how well he played the part and how drastically different he is as a person (which is a good thing).
so happy that i caught up on your other two vids yesterday, now i get to enjoy the last part on my day off ! 🙏😂 keep up the good work !
Shane got what he wanted Rick’s family just not the way he wanted
Bull crap! Chandler was written off because they didn’t want to pay him adult wages. Gimple is a POS 🤬
Omg I’ve been waiting for this!!!!
FINALLY!!! You’ve done such a great job with these videos!! Carl’s death was the one that truly pissed me off in this entire franchise and it happened for no damn reason.
Tbh after the 'head bashing' episode i had to take a 4month break from the series 😅 but i did come back eventually and am now waiting for the spin-offs to air in my country ❤🎉
Hell yes!! I was waiting for this video!!
I may have the dissenting opinion, but the All Out War story arc from the TV show is one of my favorite storylines!
Seeing our group face off against their most formidable foes yet was exciting and interesting as hell!
I’ve been rewatching the walking dead when I have down time for the last two months. I’m on season 8 episode 8 right now and I’m so glad I found this video!!
Keep making these bro love em .
I love your videos so much man
Great video as always, I like theese type of longer form videos
Tell me something, though, in a show like The Walking Dead, when a character of high revealance to said show wants to leave, you're left with two options. Either give the character a big hoorah death, or have them disappear by either going off somewhere. The latter option works mainly for people you plan to make return, as for others? All that really makes sense is to put them on the chopping block. This is why I dont understand why people don't just get angry at the actors and actresses that want to leave, instead they take it out on the show entirely
Chandler Riggs has been very vocal on how it was not his choice to leave. Gimple claims it was for story reasons only and nothing else.
I’ll criticize that decision all day.
Because Chandler Riggs bought a house on set as he was supposed to keep paying Carl but Gimple killed him off likely to not have to pay him an adults acting salary or whatever it’s called
It's they way the did with Primo from the old folks home. They never explained either.
How would you feel about doing a video for the non human things we have lost in TWD?
Shiva
Michonnes cat statue (to damn cute)
Roomba
And other things if possible
I like this idea. Buttons the horse would be another good one.
@@kitm141 someone has mentioned a backstory to Dog as well, I think these would be a fun story to see expanded on
The Carl thing is easily explained : Gimple loves Morgan.
So much so that he sent him over to FEAR to help Chambliss and Goldberg replace Madison as the lead. He had to ruin everything that wasn't in his image once he was put it charge. Dark days man. I would've loved to see Madison become the villain she was supposed to be.
I would count season 8B as Madison being evil or morally questionable
Great video! I actually like s8 alot besides the Carl situation. I really like your idea as using Morgan to be the character to push Rick for peace! Exspecially with Carl's crucial part to play in the whisper arc coming next.
Man I'm on season six of The Walking Dead this month it just so many shows.
Man it makes me wonder what they were thinking with that whole scrapyard scenario. What was the point if they were just going to abandon rick?
They’re a very strange addition.
I think they were created with the thought of Simon massacring them from the beginning, but didn’t have a compelling story to get them to that point.
I love you bro. You really do do a great job
Hey thanks so much mate I really appreciate it!
And Negan is now the best character in the franchise
Everyone says they stopped watching after Glenn died, but I stopped with Carl. Glenn’s death, while gut-wrenching, made thematic sense. It was supposed to completely tear everyone down for forcing him to kill sleeping people and it made a lot of sense for him to be a martyr in a sense. Carl’s death was DEFINITELY something involving contract issues with Chandler, because afterwards it felt like both the characters AND the writers had no clue what to do afterwards. It meant nothing in the end.
Carl’s death was stupid, after years of taking on walkers he finally get bit while helping some random character do something pointless? And all of a sudden he lost his balls and thinks we should make peace with the guy who JUST bombed your home and beat your friend’s heads in with a bat?
Watching season 8 as it was airing live I didn't enjoy it. I hated negan and wanted it to be over. However I've gone back and re-watched the whole series again and honestly binge watching the saviors story arc was much more enjoyable. Not having the breaks in between episodes gave me a new perspective and helped it be more tolerable. There's still problems but I don't hate it anymore
Hell yeah brother
Recently i have discovered ( or more like led to discover) that at the the terminus , when they all lined up at the trough, the guy who gets his throat cut , is the same guy from the orchard...
Can you do a video about the walker soilder that was in the tank in season 1?
I think a show centered around the formation of the saviors would be as big as the walking dead itself.
if you watch movie fusions recent video about unpopular walking dead opinions you might gain more insight of Carl's peace storyline
I’ll definitely check it out!
I’m going to be honest here rewatching season 8 again was actually not to bad besides Carl dying but fun fact when you said Carl looked inside the car they technically did it again way back in season 2 episode 1 with Lori. I wish Carl survive and Rick was supposed to die at the end of season 8 by tree and they were thinking that the CRM would fine him and take him.
Niceeeee
Hot Diggity Dog
This is Magnificent!
When Simon turns and looks the exact same as before LOL.😂
L❤️VE this Video
(。♡‿♡。)
You are so Talented🙌💎
Can we get a video on Gregory?
Hear me out if Carl and Morgan swapped rolls😩
👏👏👏
I think everyone can agree, the writing in the show was completely inferior to the comics.
Can thé do thé fall Atlanta
YIPPEE
I don’t think 20 walkers could wear down a tiger. You mean to tell me like 8 did
In my opinion Carl is a overhatet death I agree that he as a peacemaker doesn’t make sense but I liked Morgan’s story arc maybe they should have just left the peace and just killed negan and the other saviors
Early gang😁
You mean hillbilly armour?
When Rick said that There's only one person who has to die, He meant that He is willing to spare the rest of the saviors but if They get in the way, They die, stop making Rick out to be a hypocrite, He isn't, Negan is
More like All Out Bore
The storyline that made 94% of the fans leave. They should have skipped all of this and gone right to the Whisperers.
People say that Glenn's death ruined the show. I heavily disagree. Glenn's death was actually meant for the sake of the story and was accurate to the original source material. Anyone who stopped watching the show because of Glenn's death, isn't a true Walking Dead fan. Carl, the future of The Walking Dead, and part of Rick's reason of still fighting, was killed off for no proper reason. As you said, it was very out of character of Carl, and the comic did a decent job of having Rick give Negan mercy without the death of Carl.
Yes Carl survived towards the very end of the comics even married Sophia, and have a kid.
Anyone who missed 1 episode and didn't watch every spinoff is not a true Walking Dead fan.
@@householdgambler Not completely. I don't have AMC+ or any channel with AMC. All I got is The Walking Dead Universe channel on Pluto TV. And I've heavily relied on TH-cam for lore and explanation videos of The Walking Dead show and comic. But if I could, I would've watched the entire main series and most spin-offs. But I still know more than most Walking Dead fans. And I love the good majority of the characters and know why lots of people stopped watching the show.
Morgan's comeback is so overrated and became a added cast for fear twd
The story arc that killed the walking dead
AMC execs didnt listen to the cast or writers, thats why the season is so bad and why we lost many characters
2+2=9
FIRSTTTTT
Who tf is morales? 😂😂 I watched that season multiple times. Stop making up character arcs please lol jk
He's from season 1. He's the guy who left with his family of his accord.
can't tell if this is a joke or no
@mattbennetts5356 it's a joke, I don't know the characters names. It's just I've seen a lot of episodes and noticed this guy lol
Carl was the WORST character in this entire series, I couldn't fucking stand him
I love your videos so much man
Thanks so much mate!
