      @@alpha8here yes, at some point! I had to choose one of the two sets for this video, it would have been too long and complicated to cover both in one tutorial.

      Hey, Alpha! Just wanted to let you know that I saw your comment in my pixel art video through my notifications, but for some weird reason that I can't figure out, I can't see your comment once I open the video and I'm unable to reply you there :/

    Love this!!! I thought u could also add some roots coming from the tree going back into the earth etc also the shadows from the branches/leaves could be thrown on the ground?

    • @IttaiManero
      @IttaiManero  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! You could do all that, but it depends. In animation, one of the main things a background artist needs to have in consideration is staging. That means having into account where the characters are going to be placed, and what are their actions. The main job of a background artist is to serve the story the best they can, so you need to make sure that the background is clear and not distracting. If I added those roots or too complicated shadows in the ground it could quickly get too distracting and deviate the attention from the character. That’s why I opted for a clear area around where the character was going to be, and a soft light that also generates soft shadows in the scene. At the end it’s up to you and how you want to help tell the story.

    my thing is utilizing color to make art like this- becahse i feel i can make a piece by breaking into shapes but then it doesnt look pleasing by lack of cooperating colors, shading, etc

    • @IttaiManero
      @IttaiManero  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Try focusing on one thing at a time. Define all the shapes first on separate layers using different colors just to differentiate them, and once you have all the elements blocked out, focus on choosing appealing colors
