  • Living out of an RV or trailer is a lifestyle for some at the Meridian KOA. However, it is a necessity for others amid the housing crisis.

Also this is in every state, from Montana to Arizona to Colorado. We have been in a trailer since September 2020 because we lost our business due to the response to the flu. Crazy times. Every BLM spot we go to is full of families living in RV's. We even tried to rent a house in Boise. Landlord said he had hundreds of calls for the house. He said families are living in their cars and extended stay motels with kids!! Someone offered him a years worth of rent. We also tried to rent a house in RURAL Montana and they had 120 applications for that one house. Needless to say we didn't get it. Every RV park is full. Let's go Brandon.

I'm no fan of Biden at all, but let's give credit where it's due. The overpriced housing/rent prices in Idaho have exactly nothing to do with the Biden administration. Folks seem to conveniently forget that some of the biggest price jumps in housing and rent occurred when Trump was in office - but that had little if anything to do with Trump either. You can blame your fellow "conservatives" for screwing things up here. The overwhelming majority of immigrants to the state in the past 20 years have been conservatives. And let's not forget what party has had an entrenched, long standing super-majority at every level of government in Idaho for the past 4 decades.

We have enough money to help other countries and our own here in America but we choose not to help our own. It's not right but we've been doing it for many years. As long as politicians and the rich are stay well fed that's what's most important right.

Instead of paying rent, I would buy a piece of unrestricted land somewhere affordable, even if I had to move to another state. At least you’d have someplace to park a trailer or RV that is yours.

Idaho's unaffordable housing market was spiraling out of control long before Biden took the Oval Office. In fact, some of the biggest jumps in housing/rent prices occurred during Trump's time in office. You might want to lay off the KoolAid for a bit.

Stop it already. If any of you were born and raised in California had to watch the price of everything skyrocket like it has been for years now, you would not be able to afford to stay there any longer either. My rent in California in 1971 was $100. a month for a 1 bedroom apt with all utilities paid. That same apt would be charging at least $1,500 a month, no utilities paid in 2022. Senior citizens have 2 choices in California. 1. Move into a campground trailer park 2. Move out of state away from your children and grandchildren. Naturally, we want to be close enough to see our family's once in a while. The states bordering California provide that option. We don't make your prices go up. Greedy landlords and home sellers do that. DON'T BLAME CALIFORNIA!!! We just need somewhere affordable to live until we die. I pray that none of you Idahoans never have to make the choices Californians have to make.

I own in California and I pay less than 100 a month 60,000 is what I paid in 1994 at 600 a month for 12 years its voters voting we need these laws thanks John Walsh we need more and more laws there not free but the guy asking for a signature cares about 2 bucks a signature not what your family needs just pay more
