i love the diptyque kit but the last time i got upgraded, which was last month (i only ever fly business for free/used miles only once), they come in a little cardboard gift box now. i loved the little pouches business class amenity kits used to come in that i can reuse to put cosmetics and other stuff
Emirates is more fun in my opinion and the Bulgari kit and the compfy pyjama they offer is amazing ❤️❤️ plus the big lounge and bar wins absolutely ❤️❤️
Dan, just shooting off on slight tangent here, but have you ever reviewed Jet Blue Mint? I hear a lot of good things about it and it’d be great if you could give them the once over.
I do the old fashioned way by calling the reservation number for Emirates and having the person on the other end do all the work for me. It's also a great way to get your questions answered all at once. I also have them book all of the complimentary limousine services for me at the time of making the reservation and provide my passport number as well. The customer service on the phone is typically excellent, and there is rarely a wait to get a representative to answer the phone.
I work with Qatar airways but I would choose Emirates airlines anytime any day, the Emirates guys don't stop from offering the best service to their clients but also care about their employees, imagine Emirates airlines gave each and every staff 5 months basic salary after recording 4.7$ profit. It was a bonus to appreciate them for the job well done ✅✅ maximum respect to Emirates it really means so much it's so life changing 💟
Overworked cabin-crew? Flying on LCCs in Europe, I often see cabin-crew working continuously. I've seldom seen that on long-haul flights with either of these two airlines.
It's cuz of English tabloids and reports about how strict and overworked the staff say they are, some of if is valid cuz the old CEO stepped down and they removed some of the strict policies they had which to be fair exist in my airlines and is nothing special. Some say the old CEO was too strict with cabin crew and in his attempt to reach perfection it had an opposite effect in the long run.
Also don't forget you get an huge amenity kit with Emirates with Pyjamas and T shirts on some longer flights. Qatar's amenity kit isn't comparable even on the first class. Also there is no guarantee you get the Q suite on every aircraft.

Never used Emirates, but the one time I flew with Qatar it was onboard an A 380 or 350. (The outsided model which is being slowly taken out of service) I prefer Thai or Eva for the direct flights they offer.

The real value for airlines comes from cargo; whatever space below that isn’t checked bags gets sold to more profitable airmail pallets and time sensitive freight like fruits and other perishables. That’s part of the reason airlines discourage passengers through fees and limits from checking in all they can drag to the terminal: to maximize room for more lucrative air waybills. Premium seats means less bags for the amount of real estate taken on the main deck, along with promoting and subsidizing the brand to future premium passengers.
I don't think so... I didn't like Emirates economy...too much chatting staff between them..not professional... Food...so..so Qatar airways has an eye for detail.Much better service for economy.
