Chapter 1: 0'52"693 - Went very well. In the grand scheme of things Chapter 1 doesn't matter too much. But surprisingly not a bad start, given that good runs usually have a really scuffed Chapter 1.
Chapter 2: 0'31"632 - A 31 Second Chapter 2 is actually insane. I played super well here. If I didn't miss the shift boosts near the middle of the course, I might have gotten sub 30.
Chapter 3: 1'11"520 - A 1.11 is always pretty good on Chapter 3. I unfortunately missed both shift boosts after the jump pad but played well regardless.
Chapter 4: 1'52"534 - It must be the curse of World Record runs to get screwed by this chapter because holy smokes was this rough.
Chapter 5: 0'37"426 - I think I missed an MTBoost somewhere but that would have only been milliseconds saved so whatever.
Chapter 6: 2'28"611 - Very well done. Still a good time even with hitting a wall. Falcon did not come to die today.
Chapter 7: 2'29"680 - I've had better Chapter 7s before but this was still Sub 2.30 which was the goal. I did manage to get the really good double bomb boost at the end of Lap 1 which helped out missing some shift boosts.
Chapter 8: 2'57"103 - That opening was so brutal, I had to play really well for the rest of the Chapter to not lose a bunch of time.
Chapter 9: 1'57"652 - This was where all the practice payed off. Didn't play super risky, just consistent with my boosts and shift boosts to get below 2 minutes. And thats what ended up putting me below 15 minutes IGT.

I hope one day someone like Summoning Salt does a WR progression on GX story mode, because the risks runners take throughout especially on chapter 9 are ridiculous. This category and game deserves more attention.

beating CGN is one thing, but an 8 year old record is another, congrats, I don't think this is getting beaten for a very long time

Chapter 1 looks so easy when you do it lmao, but I know for having grinded it for hours myself just to beat it at all that this is insane

@@CosmicEncounter7 Yeah, this is a seperate category where you use settings on the Blue Falcon that don’t allow you to snake. Typically just played at 100% speed settings.

why do you lose the time in chapter 5? i don't see any way to save it lol
Inconsistent loading times are the biggest cause of this. The timer is mostly used as a rough estimate as the official speedrun uses In-game time now.
