I’m almost 30 and still trying to unlearn negative diet talk and habits! It’s a journey, not something that happens overnight. I even recognized some of these negative behaviors in my mother, who is a total gym rat but for mental and physical health, and I try to gently remind her that yes, it’s okay if you want some chips or a slice of cake and it’s not “bad”. The fact that she is just raw with the public, has that good relationship with food but yet doesn’t void her struggles is someone that just genuinely attracts good people to them 💛
Linda Sun's take on food literally changed my life. I was on a weight loss journey, besides working out, I had a lot of eating restrictions and it made me miserable, when I watched her "What I eat in a day" vid, seeing her eat when her body asked for it, and still having a healthy body, made me realize I had a really toxic relationship with food, so I started intuitive eating and Im way happier and relaxed about food now. I've had a toxic relationship with food since I was a child, and I still have a long way to go, but Im already feeling so much better about food and enjoy the process of eating more.
I adore Linda Sun. Though she much younger than me, she's helped me have a better outlook on food, fitness and self-love. She's a lovely person and I love her channel.
I really needed to see this today, I’ve always had a good relationship with food but when I started to workout at home (with TH-cam) I slowly started judging my body and get scared of certain foods. All the workouts I would see would not be focused on health but instead how many calories it would burn and how good you would look if you did it. This was a nice reminder to chill out, have a bit of ice cream, and not freak out if you don’t workout for a few days.
about the eating with the family thing, i have a feeling eating together and things like less risk of substance abuse/teen pregnancy are correlated because if you eat consistent family meals, you are more likely to come from a more secure household with a comfortable amount of money (correlation does not equal causation). that said, i do think it has mental health benefits like feeling happy, just based on the activity of interacting with people you love and making conversation.
my favourite parts of linda’s videos is actually just seeing Mother Sun’s fitness improve! she’s so much stronger than she used to be and it makes me so happy (she can perform exercises better (not focusing on what she looks like because as we all know that’s not important) and her skills are constantly improving)
She's stopped me so many times from even thinking about restricting. She gave me a better perspective on health and fitness, that there's nothing wrong with eating food I want but I have to give my body the nutrition it needs. I love her so much :D
Linda is the best! She's been my model of beginning my intuitive eating journey and learning to accept that incorporating food that is good for my soul is still healthy and not to be so anxious about it anymore
Never had I thought someone would motivate me to start cooking recipes, pushing my workouts to the next level to become stronger and better each day, and just enjoying food because my body deserves it. On god, she's the type of influence we need on every platform😭
I love how she uses diet culture and weight loss trendy titles and thumbnails to target those struggling with diets. I found her channel while I was in a bad place and her videos got to me and helped me realize I needed to make a change.

Omg! Literally yesterday I was watching a Linda video and thinking how amazing it would be if Abbey reviewed some of her meals! Thank you Abbey, you're amazing! ❤
This was very meaningful for me, thank you! I eat mostly Chinese food at home, and it was really interesting to hear your comments on Linda's meals that lean in that direction -- I'll surely keep thinking about it over the next few days to figure out what of what you said rings true for me. Always learning!

Omg, I love Linda so much, she so insightful and so young! She’s an example to me and I’m way older than her. But I really adore how genuine she is, I learned so much from her videos, and I love her pancake recipe! I even made some bing! Anyways, thank you for this video, she deserves the recognition!
Perfect timing because I was contemplating the idea of keto. There's no way I will follow a set of rules when it comes to food... not again. Thank you Abbey :)
I was diagnosed with anorexia not so long ago and she was one of the reasons I finally went to see and get professional help. It's really comforting to see beautiful and strong girl eating everything she wants and talking about the importance of fueling your body.
I’m glad you did this video!! I watched all, like really (usually, icannot see a video without skipping a few second or even minutes of it) and i was super into it and what you and Linda were saying, in fact I was also super excited because she’s one of my favorite body postive (if not my favorite) influencer... She is definitely such a inspiration for me, and at the same time I love the family and fun moment in her videos. And I am so happy to see that i’m not being influenced in a bad way by her, in fact it’s upside down. So thank you Abby! And thank you Linda, you’re like saving, distracting, helping me from these times and at the same time boosting my confidence and improving my relationship with food and my body. Lots of love❤️
I have a question about the family eating research. I wonder if the results would hold true if they controlled for income. Eating as a whole family is a very privileged thing.
@@donniedarko448 If both parents work especially if one of those jobs is in a service industry, how is dinner supposed to be ready at the same time every night with all members of the family present. I was lucky to have my mom be home from age 3-12 but those years when she was working it was really hard to make them happen. The only way it did when I was older is because my sister and I made dinner a lot of the time.
@@julia.md2b707 This is good to keep in mind. I'm studying to be a dietitian and I want to work within the community, so thank you for making me think outside the box.
What you say about family dinners only really works if done properly. I had dinner with my family most nights, except it was 10 minutes of silence and wasn't even pleasant. And I'm not blaming family dinners on my mental issues today, but family dinners alone aren't enough.
I like a lot of what Intuitive eating says--and embrace some of it, but I am following the Mediterranean way of eating. The reason I am following it is that I have high bp, high cholesterol, and a family history of dementia. I also feel that it has decreased pain associated with athritis (I'm 72--maybe a bit older than a lot of your viewers). There are defintiely guidelines with Mediterranean way of eating (eating more veggies, more fatty fish, fewer ultra=processed foods, etc. It's a bit of a balance to just relax into this while still following it enough to get the benefits.
I think Linda is wonderful & her relationship with her family is heart warming. I really like your relaxed style on this video. Hope you & baby are doing well
The family dinner part is interesting. I remember sometimes being the only person eating at the table (others watched tv, etc). Even now my bf asked me if we can eat while watching tv, i said no! Dinner table. If you own a dinner table, it's a good idea to use it😅
Beatrice Caruso said something about being confused by intuitive eating practices in one of her recent videos, so it could be super cool for you both to sit down and have a conversation about it!
I've always been confused on how to approach intuitive eating when the diet is already bad to begin with. Especially with people who have a history of binge eating, intuitive eating is hard to do
She referenced what many of my friends say to me. Their idea of “intuitive eating” would be binging all the unhealthy foods they feel like. Many folks don’t understand nutrition, and I think that lack of understanding makes it difficult to intuitively eat. First comes education about food and finding what suits you, then comes intuitive eating. One friend in particular told me intuitive eating just gave her license to eat whatever she wanted and to be unhealthy.
I like this presentation more than the normal. Taking about a general look at people's diets as a whole rather than a single day. I know it takes longer to make but it definitely makes for a better review in my opinion.
Linda, Beatrice Caruso, FrumpyFit, and you have changed my world completely when it comes to food, nutrition, weight, etc and very much for the better. So thankful for you all and I'm so glad that we have people like y'all making this content.
I started watching the Sun channel few months back and she's my new obsessed and I am so so happy Abbey reviewed her! I agree with everything Abbey said! 💯
Watching you, Jazmin Tyler and Linda Sun has made me realize I shouldn't feel guilty for giving my body the things it loves in moderation, however I am the type of person who can restrict or be dedicated not to eat something without binging after a craving
I just watched the video with my entire family and we just want to thank you for all the kind words and amazing messages you shared!! (My parents loved their features 😂)

well linda is my motivation i just see her videos and start feeling motivated i love her :)
Omg I've been waiting for you to talk about her, I've always loved linda, Her videos and storys actually helped me with my relationship with food and my lifestyle, I honestly love her so much and the way she honest about her lifestyle
Aw I’m so glad you liked it! I knew you would have to binge watch her. 😊 Linda is so addictive to watch although I can’t in the evening or it makes me too hungry right before I sleep haha. She is so positive to watch; I love watching her in the morning it motivates me to work out and then have a nice big breakfast of whatever I’m craving 😋
Agreed!!
linda has changed my mindset around food sm, i love her!!
Me too!
I love linda bc inspired me to not feel guilty of what I eat everyday. I thought my diet was unhealthy bc other influencers often eat like superfoods and these supplements but once I watched linda she just makes me feel like I'm not unhealthy but just enjoying life
i adore linda 🥺 she’s made accepting my own flaws so much easier seeing youtubers i look up to embrace their body
Agreed!!
I find it comforting to know most of the TH-camrs I follow/get advice from usually have a pretty positive review from Abbey Sharp lol
Haha I'm glad 😊
Interesting to bump into this video. Linda is one of my favourite TH-cam creators, her channel is such a safe place and her videos always cheer me up. Thank you Abbey for the review ❤️
So refreshing to see someone with such a healthy, approachable and down to earth view on food. And Abbie, u look gorgeous!
Agreed. And thank you!
Omg! Literally yesterday I was watching a Linda video and thinking how amazing it would be if Abbey reviewed some of her meals! Thank you Abbey, you're amazing! ❤
Thank you ❤️
I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR SO LONG! I love Linda and I can’t wait to see what you say about her!
Hope you enjoy it!
omg! I've never watched Linda before, but now I'm going to subscribe! I absolutely love her mindset and her sweet family :))
This was very meaningful for me, thank you! I eat mostly Chinese food at home, and it was really interesting to hear your comments on Linda's meals that lean in that direction -- I'll surely keep thinking about it over the next few days to figure out what of what you said rings true for me. Always learning!
So glad it was helpful for you!
I just discovered Linda but I love her so much 😭 I subbed to her after watching only one video. I'm glad you reviewed her.
Also I would love to see you review more unconventional body types do WIEIAD videos, like Beatrice Caruso and Holly Honjo to name a few. Have a beautiful day Abbey!
Both are on the list!
Omg, I love Linda so much, she so insightful and so young! She’s an example to me and I’m way older than her. But I really adore how genuine she is, I learned so much from her videos, and I love her pancake recipe! I even made some bing! Anyways, thank you for this video, she deserves the recognition!
Agreed, she's great!
Perfect timing because I was contemplating the idea of keto.
There's no way I will follow a set of rules when it comes to food... not again.
Thank you Abbey :)
Glad it was helpful!
I was diagnosed with anorexia not so long ago and she was one of the reasons I finally went to see and get professional help. I love her and her channel, if it wasn't for those click baits, who knows how much less little girls would find her? It's really comforting to see beautiful and strong girl eating everything she wants and talking about the importance of fueling your body.
This may be kinda unrelated, but you are glowing in this video! I'm so glad to have you back, Abbey!
Thank you! ❤️
So glad it was helpful!!
Awesome review! My sister told me that Linda kept her from going off the deep end into diet culture - I'm so glad that you also think she's great :)
I love family meals! Growing up, we always ate together at the kitchen table and I'm so glad now that we were lucky enough to be able to do that 😊
That's great!
THIS IS WHAT I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR!!!🥳 MY FAVORITE TH-camR’S COLLIDE.😁
😊❤️
Thanks to you Abbey I discovered one of my favorite youtubers of all time. She makes me feel amazing for listening to my cravings and having bad days
I have a question about the family eating research. I wonder if the results would hold true if they controlled for income. Eating as a whole family is a very privileged thing.
I’ve NEVER considered that... interesting
For sure. Thank you for sharing your experience
omg! I'm
new, but congratulations on your baby!!! you are so sweet and I have just seen your video for 2 minutes. Lot's of love.
Yay! Thank you so much for all your work Abbey! You always deliver even with your busy life! Love all you do, thank you for listening to us!
I'm so glad you enjoy it! ❤️
I automatically clicked the video seeing Linda Sun
❤️❤️
Love the new editing style - and you look amazing!!!!
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing. I'm glad that way of eating works for you
I simply adore her, the videos are so inspiring and lovely! She's an awesome influence and role model for all teenage and young adult girls
OMG YES ABBEY. WAS SO EXICTED FOR THIS!!! WE STAN LINDA. 🥰🥰💛💛💛💛💛 Xx
I hope you enjoy it!!
@@AbbeysKitchen Aw omg and baby. 🥰💛💛💛 Adorable!!!
Yess so very excited for this. I literally love both of your channels
Thank you!
If you own a dinner table, it's a good idea to use it😅
I love eating while watching Netflix. Nothing wrong with it.
@@idakwiatkowska2862 Yeah I do that too when I'm by myself. Sometimes I just eat too much when I'm distracted.
For sure!
Welcome back!! I'm still impressed with how much you prefilmed! Also love the clips of baby 😍 Haha breastfeeding and multi tasking life of a mom
Thank you! ❤️
I can relate with abbey with binging all of Linda's video😂 literally Linda's the beesstt
Agreed!
Thanks for the new video!! Also, that shirt looks amazing on you!
Thank you!
Oooo, when I tell you I've been waiting for this! I love Linda ❤
Same!
Beatrice Caruso said something about being confused by intuitive eating practices in one of her recent videos, so it could be super cool for you both to sit down and have a conversation about it!
I've always been confused on how to approach intuitive eating when the diet is already bad to begin with. Especially with people who have a history of binge eating, intuitive eating is hard to do
I'll have a look at that
I love Bea!
Thank you for the feedback!
Linda, Beatrice Caruso, FrumpyFit, and you have changed my world completely when it comes to food, nutrition, weight, etc and very much for the better. So thankful for you all and I'm so glad that we have people like y'all making this content.
I'm so glad it's helpful!!
I started watching the Sun channel few months back and she's my new obsessed and I am so so happy Abbey reviewed her! I agree with everything Abbey said! 💯
😊❤️
Yes!!! I love Linda’s videos they have such an amazing message
Agreed!
Watching you, Jazmin Tyler and Linda Sun has made me realize I shouldn't feel guilty for giving my body the things it loves in moderation, however I am the type of person who can restrict or be dedicated not to eat something without binging after a craving
I'm glad we have been helpful for you!
