    In this Acrylic Portrait Painting Tutorial on canvas I am explaining the technique of Smooth Blending with Acrylics. I am using only water mist to keep my paint moist in my palette. No retarder or any kind of medium is used in the entire process.
    Started with a color mixing for the background with Yellow Ochre, Burnt Sienna, Crimson lake and White. Then I have shifted the colors to desired saturation and values for other parts of the face. Most of the blending is done with dry brush technique with minimal water on the palette.

    Are you not a fan of oil paints?

    • @DebojyotiBoruahArt
      @DebojyotiBoruahArt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ofcourse I am a big fan of oil. But I was searching for something forgiving, easy, non toxic, easy to store and can give faster results. And I have found it all in Acrylic. Medium is a personal choice. You can choose any medium you love to work with. Afterall end result matters. Thank you so much for watching 😊🙏

    I had asked you this several days ago: "Sorry, I meant to say shadows on her FACE. What colors would you use to lighten them? They look kind of gray!!" Will you help me with suggestions please??

    • @DebojyotiBoruahArt
      @DebojyotiBoruahArt  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The shadow color here is the combination of Ultramarine blue, Burnt Umber, Cobalt Blue and Ochre. It's towards greenish gray. Hope this will help you. Thank you so much for watching 😊🙏

      Ofcourse you can. A light tint of Burnt Sienna or a mix of White and Burnt Umber will do. Thank you.
