I help my buddy at an upholstery shop. I take seats apart. razor blade the stitch line base top parts. trace old piece on vinyl. cut and glue half or quarter foam pad with mess. we put leather on top and vinyl sides. refoaming with tiny da grinder and turkey carver. centers can be perferrated tiny holes or swade. there just covers that comes off practice rolling covers off I do it in minutes

The nxt time you get seats with a lower bracket, you can always cut you some 1 or 2 in metal spacers & then get you some longer bolts for you seat brackets.

Very impressive. My dad had to weld and fabricate a piece on my car seat underneath the seat the metal on the driver side needed to be welded back on and fabricate another piece due to an ex kept pushing against the headrest when he got in and out. The metal bent and snapped. He was a muscular large man.

The seats from the 93-96 Fleetwood bolt right in too,they have the" split rail" design which means the seat bottom moves withOUT moving the back rest,the back rest has power recline,the split rail seats were optional on Roadmaster and standard on Fleetwood and were NEVER offered to caprice,even though they bolt right into the Caprice
Man I learn a ton from your videos bro! Runninh my options on bucket seats for my '78 El Camino. But aye if u never thought about gettin one,I use a GoPro camera to record stuff and it keeps my hands freed up and the audio is pretty cool on it too. They cost like $150. Get that and a few memory cards and bam! You get like 2hours of record time on the lil memory cards I buy. And then I upload all of my shit to laptop. Check into it,I'm sure you'll dig it. Thanks again and you nailed it on the seats mane!

Got 96 Caddy STS seats in my cutty. Just had to get the back seat butt pad reworked to a gbody seat frame. On the buckets I was just able to drill holes in the sliders rails and they bolted right up.

to get like ss or team logo you cut out the piece trace on new piece and take to any embroidery place. I never have were to busy doing dealer repairs on quick flips

Hey, SW. I subscribed quite awhile ago, after watching several of your videos and seeing the top quality of your work. Man, your products are as good as any of the big, commercial custom shops in the country. I really like your work because you're a backyard mechanic / customizer like me. Only YOU are waaay better than me. Anyway, I'd like to offer a little tip for masking off small paint jobs like when you did those seat rails in this vid. Use the cheapest aluminum foil you can find. You can mold it around surrounding surfaces and save on using the expensive masking paper and tape. I've used this technique when painting things in the engine compartment of my pickup. Works like a charm. I don't remember where I learned of doing this, but it sure saves money AND time. Once again, I really like the way you handle changes to your projects to fit your needs and those interior pieces you make are outstanding. Keep up the good work and I'll keep watching your videos. I'm 70 years old but haven't stopped trying to learn. As a matter of fact, I have a 1976 Chevy short wheel based, stepside and a 1975 Merc Cougar XR7 that I'm playing with and if you ever get the chance to do one of those, I'd sure like to see your ideas in action. Especially the interiors. Thanks.

All Box GM that gen use same floor boards so even olds olds or Pontiac or buick you found that at same time i typed it lol.. I have a 88 police car 9c1 stock seat is one solid (bullet proof ) seat but i want ride more comfortable....yeah i was shot at but a car jacking fail n the seat took 4 from a semia automatic....anyway i need be able chill and recline ...like my 84 Fleetwood those go all way back of the back you could eat the crack from the front to the back

John, I would weld the bolt studs to your floor plan
Get you some gas and get rid of the flux core wire. Itll weld alot smoother and easier, less spatter. Good work though bro. Much respect from Knoxville Tn!

because youre like the go to man when it comes to fiberglass i was wondering there are some non english vids on youtube where i can understand the language on this subject.. when making a mold of parts in my trunk would i lay some clear tape down on the parts i want to mold then apply wax then resin and fiberglass mat let it dry and peel it off before i lay some felt or what would you do in this situation... you are like the best at this from what i seen and wanted your opinion!

It's pretty simple. It's only three wires. The ground, hot and constant power

Yes sir, I've tried cutting factory windshields to match, but they keep breaking. So i was wondering if you knew a reliable source for windshields as well.
Most any windshield business can put you one in...how is you trying to take it out...try using a piece of wire like picture frame wire to remove it
