I’m confused , after watching the video by fass the one with the straw is the water separator and the other is the fuel filter . In this video you explained that the one with the straw is the fuel filter which would be reverse . So which one would be correct ?
@@nickmcgee3258 this must be different on the new fass pumps , if you watch the video made by fass you can see that they put the fuel filter on the side without the straw .
I was just about to ask the same question. I didn't realize I had my Filters mixed up until today! If you look at the Fass filters it shows an illustration of how it mounts and it shows the water separator being where the Tube is!
Correct, because the fuel will flow through the water separator first and fill it then the filter, so when the filter overflows you know both are full.

If u are putting the new fass filters on your truck water separator goes on the 2 hose side with the straw

Fuel filter is on the straw. Water separator is not

I am assuming you left it unscrewed to get it pumped faster. I didn't cycled a few times
When removing the filters do you have to clamp the lines or will the fuel just stop flowing after a couple seconds?
It will stop as long as the pump is not on.
