I have to try this! They came out great. I don't know how the murky one looks in real life, but on camera it looks like a floral background. Kind of like a watercolor impression of a field of flowers or something. Maybe for a spring or summer piece? That's how it came across on my screen anyway. So pretty! Thanks for the tutorial -- just subbed.
This was amazing!!! I’m very very new to cross stitch but I’ve fallen in love with it! I saw some people selling some dyed tie dye Adia but it was really really expensive and I’d have to get it from overseas :( I’ve been looking all over on how to get the same Tie dye effect, and this was perfect!!! Thank you so so much! I can’t wait to try it
I love this idea. I might have to try this during our summer here in the US as it also gets very hot (and humid where I'm at!). Have you ever done it by sprinkling the dye powder in layers of the ice? What temp is the water when you rinse out the pieces?
Thanks for your comment. I think with any overdyed fabric or overdyed threads it’s not recommended to wash again in case it spoils your stitched piece.
Gorgeous work! Thank you for the tutorial!
Nice tutorial. Lovely. We can get Rit in Kiwiland.
Absolutely beautiful!❤️
Thank you Laura

Can you use RIT in liquid form on this project?
I don't think the liquid dye would work in the same way using this method because the melted ice activates the dye x

Can I wash my dyed aida after I finish my project?
