I have a question, a mouse got into my vehicle vents and made a nest. Anyway I noticed this weird sound yesterday really loud when I went out to get into my car to leave for work it was making a very loud noise and sounded like the engine was messed up but when I went to pop the hood I noticed it was blower motor. So I didn't use it yesterday and today I took it out to clean it. I pulled a dead mouse out of the fan and a lot of nesting material. A few blades where damage and the top ring was damaged so I used epoxy and manufactured a ring to keep the few blades together while in use. Yes I already ordered another motor before I even tried to temp repair the fan. Anyway my question or questions are first it still has a noise but very faint now but will it mess up the housing or just the fan over the next few days waiting for the new fan? Second which is more important as I may not be able to use it unless I can get the faint smell of the dead mouse out. Is there a way to do so
First, spray mixture of water and chlorine thoroughly. A mouse virus makes Covid child's play, very deadly. Then change the blower. A disbalanced broken bladed fan is asking for trouble. You may have to remove the AC housing to clean the mouse infestation. This is serious business.
I bought a car that smelled like mouse piss. I put bowls of white vinegar in the car and it absorbed the mouse piss smell. I left the vinegar bowls in the car for 6 months, since I did not need the car at the time.
I'm dealing with a similar ground fed resistance controlled fan that I had to run a new hot wire for it to work at all. It worked two years but is now cutting off again and won't return until things cool off. It has to be somewhere in that ground controlled resistance because I checked my new hot wire. I believe I have a more simpler non ECM type though. It quits even on high which should bypass all the resistors so maybe its just a poor ground causing heat.
Does the hvac controller provide the voltage and pwm signal to the blower speed controller, or does the blower speed controller provide the voltage on the signal line to the hvac controller and the hvac controller toggles it to ground to signal the pwm duty cycle signal? Reason I ask is if you turn the key on and no blower operation occurs in any speed selection, you unplug the blower speed controller and measure for voltage on the signal wire and get no voltage change as you select higher speed to lower speed. Don't want to guess and throw parts at it, is the problem the hvac controller or the blower speed controller? Without knowing system design and proper operations you will be guessing and wasting time and money. By the way the OEM information and flow charts won't tell this information.
My blower runs with the key off. As soon as I connect the fuse to the resistor ,the relay inside the blower resistor module energizes and the fan runs on high.
Does anyone know what will cause the AC heater blower motor stop running I checked the blower motor and it's good I have no power going to the control panel it's on a 2012 VW Metra we 2.5
My blower works when I test it ..but when I plug it bck in it's not working low an high when I turn the speed controls for the fan..any suggestion please..??
Hi, I have a Mitsubishi lancer 2009 the blower stay in max speed all the time, I did move the speed selector attempting to reduce it but it does not work, I got une HVAC main module (used) and I put it but the failure persist, after see your video it could be the "HVAC blower speed controller" don't you?
How may one bench test the type of blower motor that, does not use a blower motor resistor for speed control, i.e.; it has electronic speed control, e.g., 2010 Nissan Murano.
I also have a 2003 silverado that the blower motor won't turn on at all. I pulled the blower out and hooked 2 jumper wires up to a battery I have laying in the garage and the motor starts right up. When I install it back in the pickup it won't turn on. I just ordered a new blower motor resistor on e-bay, since they are only $12. Hope it fixes it.
I have a Mercedes Benz ML350 2008. First, I had the battery go out, then an ungrounded wire to starter which then blew my starter and ironically my air flow didn’t work around this same time suddenly as well... I replaced the following with a new battery, new ground wire, new starter and a new blower motor resistor... still my air is not consistently blowing hot air, or air at all for that matter.... Sometimes it works and other times it doesn’t. Any suggestions? I was thinking maybe a fuse or something in connection to the blower motor itself? I had also thought could it be air blend issue? I’m needing some suggestions if anyone has been in this situation. Please advise.
Well how the hell does it let you decide which vents the air is going to if there's only 1 fan? My blower motor only works if a green hose that goes around the battery compartment is plugged in correctly. It's not an electrical wire - it has air inside it and you can hear it compress and decompress. I used to have to reconnect that thing all the time because it came off its inline connector every time I removed the battery. Does it use some sort of pneumatically operated air valves to direct air according to the "Windshield, Feet, Full, Rear Only, Front Only" control? Why the hell does no one address this?
Ac blower won’t work on max speed. New resistor, cable and blower motor. ??? When max is selected, is runs for a few seconds, then shuts off until a lower speed is selected. High speed should bypass resistor altogether so I know it’s not there. Anyone?
Great video my friend. Will help me as I am taking Automotive Electrical and Engine Performance this semester. God bless

Look into power and ground feed.
Can you bypass the control head. Hvac main module computer.?? In the case of they no longer make the control head to replace it.
U need to fix the head. Give it a head job.
i have a 2001 ford windstar and the rear blower runs when i hook kit to the battery but wont run in the van

None of the above.

Did you ever figure out the problem my ride is doing the same thing.
Does anyone know what will cause the AC heater blower motor stop running I checked the blower motor and it's good I have no power going to the control panel it's on a 2012 VW Metra we 2.5
Did you check the blower fuse under the hood and the blower fuse in the cab? Also could be the blower motor resistor. They are only like $12 on e-bay.
👍
My blower works when I test it ..but when I plug it bck in it's not working low an high when I turn the speed controls for the fan..any suggestion please..??
Check ground
yes the old system worked great and gave very little problems and was easy to repair should have been left alone
Sure

It's the blower motor resistor that is mounted next to your blower motor. I had this happen on my chevy silverado.
Yes
nice vidoe .. my car blower 12 volt missing from fuse box i check all relay fuse all its good,, i cant problem
+KURDISTAN uk The problem is there. You're missing 12 volts somewhere. Get a good wiring diagram and proceed.
thanks so much ...

I have a 2003 Silverado I change the blower resister. The resister is getting power but the blower isn’t can anyone help?

Check ground.

Don't know
my ac blow cold air just on lowers speed.high speed blow not conditioned air...any suggestion?
it's probably the blower motor resister
Use lower speed only.
Thanks for this vdo

my blower motor in my 1985vett get hot and the air start get in warm please someone help me with the problem..
I have a 2002 Dodge 5.7 hemi no power going to my heater blower motor

Did you figure it out?
AC controller
I wish they didn't use an Orange background with yellow letters
Meaning?
Why does my AC blows cold and hot intermittently? Pls help TIA
Probably a faulty stepping motor for the cold/hot air mixture flap
Thank you

My wagon r blower noise sound in 3 and 4 speed.
Is it possible listen this from a REAL HUMAN vs. that annoying Apple voice?
Yeah I couldn't watch it all the way through. Quit like after a min. That voice is annoying af
Gordon302 , stop whining & be thankful for the free information. Go pay your mechanic $60/hr to tell you the problem.

Did you check the fuse?
for god sakes get a newer car man!
