Funny how week ago I ordered bunch of Azami cards and they arrived today and now this video appeared in front of me. Haven't had chance to try her yet but I am very excited!
Love the deck! So well put together and crafted I used your list to make my own deck. I did make a few substitutions: Jwari Disruption MDC I switched for Wizard’s Rebuke - I think wizard’s rebuke, while less flexible, gives us a definite counter to any spell for almost always 2 mana with all the wizards we are running. Sky Diamond I switched for Sol Ring. Coldsteel Heart I switched for Decanter of Endless Water - coldsteel heart coming in tapped doesn’t do it for me. I think we will have plenty of blue mana from our land package so the blue mana from our rock won’t be that significant. decanter of endless water provides a mana of ANY color (which could be useful if we steal a creature with activated abilities) taps the turn it comes in, and gives us unlimited hand size for the tons of draw we are getting.
Alhammarets is a little too expensive for my tastes. Isochron is definitely viable if you want to run it. I wouldn't run paradigm shift just for oracle because its a dead card outside of it.
"0 power commander ive been running for a decade plus " "oh hey in this deck we are attacking" me: (who has never once declared attackers at combat with this deck once) oh......
Inquisitor is a very cool effect if you can pull it off, but at 5 mana and requiring a considerable boardstate to be effective, it just didn't make the cut for me.
@@casual_commander it would be cool to see the effect in a black tribe like vampires or clerics at a lower tap cost. I am also thinking about slotting in talrand to combine with the other drake maker, to have a sizeable air force, especially with coat of arms.
For all my casual decks, i run no tutors, fast mana or one-card win-cons. So far that has seemed to be enough to keep the speed of the game in check, while also still being able to play as many powerful cards as possible. And yep I agree with you there, cheap and casual are not synonymous 🙂
@Casual Commander it is exactly what I'm looking for, ty, but will have to make some substitutions to get into some casual price controlled games online
"Now because of our commanders very powerful ability which we have access to in the command zone..." Here, I was referring to our access to Azami in the sense that she's always available to cast and use for drawing, not in the literal sense that we can access that ability in the command zone 🙂
I’ve always heard of Azami decks being a nightmare to face, great to finally see a good deck tech on her.
I locked down a whole table in a 4 man pod using an azami wizard deck. galecaster colossus, azami, and patron wizard in play are nuts.
Fantastic decktech, explains the strategy and card choice clearly and how they interact with one another 10/10
Thanks Big 🙂

Like it but i went with mind over matter isochron time warp couple tutors and lab maniac and went with sol.ring and nykthos for mana ramp

Thanks Krevin, hope the list and your substitutions treat you well 🙂
@@casual_commander thank you sir! And thank you for the great deck list and tech!
Thank you 😀
You're welcome 😊
What about Alhamaret’s Archive and Isochron Scepter? Or Paradigm Shift for the oracle.
Alhammarets is a little too expensive for my tastes. Isochron is definitely viable if you want to run it. I wouldn't run paradigm shift just for oracle because its a dead card outside of it.
Isochron runs beautifully for this deck, I have experienced: High Tide, Dramatic Reversal, Mana Drain = yes please!
“Tap, drore, repeat😁”
My deck is a little bit differente (more salty :P) but you provide me with some good ideas... Tks
Excellent deck tech!
Thanks!!! 🙂
what about voidmage prodigy and vedalken shackles?
Prodigies cost is a little too steep for my taste. Shackles is definitely a viable option, I'd just personally prefer running a wizard over it 🙂
On Rhystic and Remora: Shouldn't leave home without, unless they are outside of your budget. Then absolutely accept not having them

Love it.
What do you think about Supreme Inquisitor vs combo?

Talrand is good, but you'll need a higher density of instants/sorceries than my list to really get good value out of him.
i thought this was casual but there's force of will and mana drain lol
although ig technically, casual and cheap are not the same thing

@@casual_commander tried it a lot, it's really good , and great fun (if youre not focused from turn 1)
Glad to hear you enjoyed it 🙂
This deck costs 4 digits in the year 2024.
Not when using a printer 😉
Uh....you can't use her ability when she's in the command zone FYI. You stated this in the intro before going on to the deck list.
Not sure what you mean??? Do you have the timestamp where I said this???
Exactly at the 4:00 mark 🙂@@casual_commander
