You just cracked me up when you said it’s perfect to put a pot plant in lol
Lol I keep saying that and I don’t know why 😂😂😂😂😂 lawd help.
I thought the same thing 🤣🤣🤣
I cracked up too, Julie! It's potted plant, not pot plant - unless, of course, your are planting some of that "wacky tobaccky", LOL❣🤪🤣🌿
Jeez And I didn’t even catch it when editing lol
I always use a little cleaning vinegar to my dish water when I buy dishes and I wash my dishes in it to makes them sparkling clean and they smell good.
I think that's very nice of you putting things back where they belong. When I was a little girl, my mother used to take me shopping. Every time we took clothing off the hangers we put them back on before we left. TFS Enjoyed your video, yes ma'am more Please. God Bless!
Thank you so much! And yes it’s just the right thing to do!
Is it that the smaller box was priced bigger than the larger box?
So proud of you for telling us how important to get down on our knees so we don't miss anything!!
"putting a pot plant in" hahahahahahaha whaaaat?!?!?! Made me laugh out loud!!!
Yes I know lol. Lawd 😂 I’m trying to pay attention these days 🤣🤣
Omg! I'm here screaming " get that rooster! !" Great finds!
Lol.
Hello, my name is Stephanie and I'm a thriftaholic.😊 Good finds today.

Confession, I'm also a thriftaholic and a decoraholic 😍

What Is Ironstone?
Ironstone china is a glaze-covered earthenware that was first patented by Charles James Mason in 1813 and other manufacturers followed suit. At one point, there were almost 200 makers of ironstone china and they made everything from plates and bowls to tureens, covered casseroles, pitchers, gravy boats and even chamber pots. Most pieces come from England, France and the United States. Although, ironstone's popularity has come in waves, this durable dishware has remained a favorite among antique collectors for decades.
Julie you don't have to worry about using bleach on your dishes!!!! My great aunt always used a little bleach in her dish water. I have many times put some bleach in my dish water when my dishes were extremely dirty ( like coming out of storage or from thrifting or such). I am 65 years old and it hasn't hurt me or any of my family or my grandparents yet!!!!
Love your videos, Kim
Bleach won't hurt dishes. Just rinse. Lots of people put a few drops in dish pans for washing dishes. Vinegar and baking soda might remove bad scents tho. If not, try closing dishes in a large garbage bag after sprinkling each with baking soda. I was given a book which smelled of something awful. I used the last technique after sprinkling soda thru the pages. It took 6 months but worked. The book and giver were precious or l wouldn't have bothered. Dryer sheets also can work sometimes. I am surprised dishes still smell after washing. Good luck!! As always - loved your ideas!!!
Thank you so much! They are good now.
Oh my goodness, you sound like a type A just like me :-) It made me smile when you put the 2 pitchers together that matched so someone would see they are a set. I have done that so many times!
Thank you so much!
My favorite find is the basket🤎
You can never have too many 🥰
Great haul, Julie 🤍
Thank you so much Sarah!
The amber glass was moon & stars compote. That was a good price for a collector.
I knew one of y’all would say that 😭. Hopefully someone picked them up.
When i saw that metal rooster i was saying pick it up! I would so like to find one.
Me too!!!
I did to
I found one and couldn't believe it.!!! It's gorgeous and even I was surprised
When I saw that coffee pot that said "whistler", it immediately made me think about the movie "Fried Green Tomatoes" and the Whistle Stop Cafe". lol
Lol right. That’s too funny.
That's one of my favorite movies, its a classic🎆
Those vintage glass amber bowls were an awesome price!!! Aghhhhhh! I would’ve snatched those up in a heartbeat. 💔
Moon and stars!
I can't tell Tanya that you sent me cuz I am already a subscriber to her channel. Funny cuz I had just watched her before viewing your video and she was referring people to your channel! But that's not why I watched. I am a subscriber to your channel too. Enjoy watching both of you. Great video, as usual. Loved your haul and your oil lamp that you had to piece together is beautiful!
Thank you so much! I’m so glad you’re here!
I use all of my punch cups for Jell-O, so the kiddos have a place to hold onto and enjoy a summer treat
I so admire that you left those wooden things behind because they weren’t quite right. So many times I get over excited and take home things that if I stopped to think won’t work in my house.
If you are painting the wood sconces, you could get wood pieces to add from Hobby Lobby or Michael’s. Like a medallion, to cover those hearts.
Great idea. Thank you!
Hi Julie enjoyed going thrifting with you again always see good items also like to see the way they are styled in your home thanks for sharing . Prayers Blessings to you Larry and both of your families Mildred!
Have a wonderful weekend"
Thank you so much Mildred!
Love the little pink box with flowers in the beginning. Trike is so sweet and that funky magazine holder is so fun! Had to add your oil lamp looks great! Sorry about the funky smell with your dishes! Can’t wait to see the cabinets all painted!
Thank you so much! I cleaned them with vinegar and ran back though dishwasher and I don’t smell the funkiness anymore lol. They must have been in someone’s storage for awhile.
I would have picked up the brass candlesticks in a heartbeat! They were Baldwin brass and are very expensive. I love you videos.
Thank you! Yes they were nice 😁
Absolutely appreciate the chance to thrift with you. Once again you hit it out of the ball park! Your treasures and plans are wonderful. Thank you for the shopping tips that you mentioned. I cannot wait for this weather to break, this girl NEEDS some thrift store magic 😂 . Take care Julie & thxs for the inspiration.
Thank you so much! You’re too sweet!
The wooden box with the narrow slit holes was a butterfly house. You pick it up and mentioned putting lavender in it.
Such a smart idea to get a lantern for the pieces you need, you’re right so much cheaper. Great finds!
Yes, thank you!
Run back and get that white ironstone dish!!!! I LOVED that terracotta bunny too! I wish you were a reseller! I'd totally buy that!
I know 😭. I wasn’t sure if it was ironstone.
I loved those placemats and the little pitcher! So cute. Your Goodwill is like a boutique compared to mine. 😂
Wash the cups that have an odor with bleach and rinse well, wash with lemon and place in sun, should remove any odors. You found some really nice things! 🤗🌸
Thank you!
Thank you!
Hi Julie I love the shopping trip your thrift store is awesome. Wow you found some awesome things. That color of green is my favorite.💖🌸💖
Thank you!
The boxes you showed, the big one was cheaper than the little one. I have been watching lazy diy, for a while. I love when she goes to those huge places with all kinds of stuff. Some are quit pricey. 🦋💕🦋
Yes, me too!
I have had the same white dishes, for 40 years. I use 2 caps full of bleach when I wash my dishes. Has never damaged any of the dishes, but I never put any flatware in the bleach water. Fantastic deal on the dishes!!
Awesome. Thank you!
Luv Your personality! How excited ya get!!!!🙂❤ about ur haul!
Thank you 😊
I loved those placemats. I always enjoy going thrifting with you and seeing your hauls!!
Thank you!
The canisters you looked at that had the pink Rose's on them, I have a 8 piece setting including the glasses. Love them, in my China cabinet. I've got 1 wexford canister the middle one. I canister find the other 2 any where. But would love too.
those magazine/newspaper holders are great next to the toilet for toilet paper rolls!!!
Soo glad you found parts for your lamp,it looks CUTE
Thank you! Me too!
A suggestion for the wood candle sconces with the heart cut out - fill the cut out with wood filler, sand and paint. I can’t do the heart cut outs either. Or geese!😉
My favorite was the large basket that you are using as a hamper
Thank you!
I love your videos so much, I watch you every chance I get, you have so many great ideas
So glad that you got the parts for your OIL LAMP !!!! And it fits perfect .....how lucky was that ??? 👍👍👍
I can’t believe you have your Grandmother’s plant and kept it alive for 20 years! Your must have green thumbs for sure! That is amazing!
I wonder why those dishes you got have a smell ? I could see plastic absorbing an odor like mildew.. but stoneware. hummmm!
I laughed when you said you put the ONE pitcher over by the other so someone may buy them together....because I hear woman talk about moving things AWAY from places and hiding them on the bottom shelves or on the top shelf out of sight!!! LOL !!! Julie is putting them all back .....🤣👍 Too funny !
Another fun shopping trip!
Have a blessed weekend ! Hugs from CHILLY SNOWY NEW YORK ! 🥶🥶🥶
Thank you Jayne! I’m the crazy one feeling sorry for the dishes and wanting them to go to great home. 😂
@@ThrilledThrifter I would be the same way !!! I told the ladies that were doing that , that it was not nice to HIDE ITEMS and come back later to get them. EITHER GET THEM or come back another day to see if they are still there...but how rude to HIDE THEM. They simple said everyone does it! I don’t watch them anymore. 🤨
Hi Julie, what a great haul! There was a lot of stuff at your Goodwill that I would have gotten: a red & gold bowl (urn?) that was on an upper shelf at the 3:17 mark, the cobalt mugs, the basket you got that you said you might make Elizabeth's hamper, that bright red flower painting, the smallest of the three mirrors, that green sham, and that drawer piece you purchased. I'm glad I get to virtual shop with you because if I went shopping in real life my hubby would kill me lol. Stay safe!
Haha. Yes so many good things this day.
Love that box
I love your cups! The green is so pretty!
Thank you!
The bleach will not hurt the dishes or you after washing them with the bleach. However, I would run them through the dishwasher on a wash cycle with white vinegar. Use about a cup or more it will get diluted with the water in the wash cycle. Bonus it’s a good way to clean your dishwasher too. White vinegar not only cleans well, but gets rid of odors. I use it in my coffee maker, sink drains and garbage disposal to name a few.
Awesome. Thank you!
I love Afhans and woolen blankets.
Nice and warm and good for decoration.
Loved those wooden napkinrings.
Look at that oillamp.
Jeayyy your lamp is complete now!
I found some great things at Goodwill myself this week. I found some brass candle sticks. I just love brass also got some silver trays. I love your haul. You always have great videos.
Thank you so much!
Julie, I’m thinking about all of you in Texas! Hoping you have power! We are snowed in in Indiana, but are somewhat used to that! Hope you and your family are safe!
Thank you so much! We had no power all day but it finally just came back on. This cold is no joke. Thankful for a fireplace. It’s the only thing that saved us.
@@ThrilledThrifter so glad you are ok! We are used to this, but I know this weather is something you normally don’t have to deal with! Take care!
Just spent the last 3 days watching ur thrifting marathon on replay we are currently in Covid Lockdown thank u for filling those lil crazy hours with Motivation and Positivity ur vlogs have saved me from cabin fever now to get out and shop ...cheers Julie
Thank you! Hope you’re able to get out and about soon. Cabin fever is real!
@@ThrilledThrifter ohhh me too and thanks for the reply I leave comments regardless because I enjoy thrifts but too.know u read the comments matters so thank u
Enjoyed your video. The big basket you're using inside right now was a good find. Hope you have a good weekend and week to come.
Thank you!
Love your white aria!!!!!
Oh me too !
Take your cup with you when you get your paint! You might just buy a sample and paint a side of the cabinet to see if you like it.
Yes, I plan to do just that. Thank you!
@@ThrilledThrifter Sherwin Williams can match any color.
Great haul! Ugh, I went to my local thrift shop and I am regretting not picking up this little picnic basket! It was only $4, but I was not looking for that and passed! Now I am hoping it is there next week when I can go again!! Hahaha I just talked to my son in law and he’s going to go get it for me tomorrow! 😍😍😍
Ahh don’t you hate it when you leave something and can’t stop thinking about it lol
I always soak my white heritage pfaltzgraff in bleach and hot water. For scratches or silverware marks I use bar keepers friend powder. Just make sure to wash and rinse well.
Awesome. Thank you!
I always check through all the sheets and blankets. I repurpose the sheets for quilt backs.and you can never have too many blankets
Yea,,,, I'm from Georgia !!! Howdy love your thrifting and how you style them.
Hi there ! Thank you so much!
The wooden box You are looking at is a butterfly house and You hang it outside. Then when the butterflies fly south , You can clean it out from the top. The little drum set is from "Boyds Bears" . They came with a B oyds Bear , red, white, blue. TFS! Judyxx
I so enjoy your thrift a longs...you find the best pieces and style them so well...💗🥰💗
Thank you so much!
Awesome pieces. I found the wooden sconces with the mirror in them like my mom had. I painted and distressed them and hung them on my wall on either side of my vintage window. I’m doing the same as you. If I don’t think I have a place or need for it, I leave it. I did see what you were talking about with the patriotic boxes. Have a great weekend. Happy Valentine’s Day to you. 😊💕
Yes, I agree. And yes wasn’t that crazy lol
@@ThrilledThrifter
I’ve seen it before in my thrift stores too.
I loved the purple sari silk at 17:40
I enjoyed this video!! thanks for all the tips you gave. I love thrifting too so I will be checking out Lazy DIY channel also. THANKS FOR THE RECOMMENDATION!!!
Thank you so much. You will love it.
Great finds Julie. Thanks so much for sharing
Thank you!
I'm a sucker for napkin rings!!!
1
Try vinegar in the smelly cups, let them soak in hot water soap and vinegar. It may help!
Love your new computer lifter!!
Thank you! I’ll be making it over soon
I'm from Mt Olive MS but live in Gilbert AZ now. You accent makes me feel right at home.
Awe, thank you! I definitely have a accent.
Julie, I COMPLETELY agree with you about the "heart" in the wood pieces. But you should I have started using Plastic Wood to "correct" that issue. It works wonders. It is basically HARDCORE woodfiller or spackle but much stronger. I love it. Great for fixing those huge holes and gaps.
Oh goodness ! Where do you get this? I pass up so much that I could up cycle.
@@ThrilledThrifter oh honey, any home improvement store and Walmart carries it. I usually get it at Walmart only because I buy smaller quantities. I bought 2 child rocking chairs before Christmas for my kids while thrifting and one of them and a partially broken leg so I used that plastic wood to repair that leg. Once it dried I was able to sand and paint and now they play in them and you would never know it was broken.
Whats wrong with hearts?
@@carolfeltner7744 nothing if that’s your style. 😁 Go for it. Less work for you to do too since most of it is like that too. Lol
That metal rooster!! 😍😍 I would love to find one like that!
I started thrifting for profit luv ur shows and others. It helps a lot ty 🤓
I like Tanyas channel, that big monthly sale she goes to is fabulous & she's so nice. By the brass candlesticks there was a floral crock, very cool. "Always look up" good advice & video-thank you🎆 That big wicker basket is a good find! The base to the oil lamp would make a cute little vase.🎆
I keep the plastic in my wicker if I’m setting a pot inside. That way it doesn’t ruin the basket if water drains from your plant. Then I put moss around the top to cover the plastic.
Your viewer suggestions are wonderful!! New subsciber can't wait to see the rest of your videos as well as reading the tried and true viewer suggestions to improve a find!
I think your idea for the two drawer piece for under your computer is a great idea!!!
I wouldn't worry about eating off of dishes that have been bleached. Many dishwasher detergents have bleach in them and rinsing should take care of residue.
I bleach tea and coffee cups with white interiors frequently. I just rewash with soap and water afterward and give them a sniff test. If I don't smell bleach I don't worry about it.
The restaurant I waitressed at many years ago used to bleach their coffee cups every once in awhile to get the coffee/ tea stains out.
I had my eye on that box with the draws . happy to see you got that😍
It’s nice!
Love the wooden duck picture I love the woods theme in my kitchen
I am from Georgia..lol..love your video and shopping with you..I have watched lazy DIY for a long time love her channel.she inpires me as you do .God bless..
Thank you so much! She’s the sweetest thing.
👍👍🥰❤️that was a good idea on the oil lamp. I collect oil lamps any size . I have a lot of miniature ones my cousin sold me. I have them in a few rooms in my house. Love them ❤️
They are the best!
Enjoyed this video and I like the way you thrift looking through on shelves up ,down and moving things around.
Thank you so much!
Julie, maybe lemon juice may help take smell out of the dishes? Maybe try it on one piece if you have extra or if one has a chip? Anyway great thrifting! God Bless you and yours.
Oh that’s a fabulous idea! Y’all are awesome.
I love that color green too.
Love your thrifting and selections from Tyrone, Georgia! Yes, Tyrone, GA.
Yes always check your boxes. I bought what I thought was a wall mount for a TV. When I got home and opened the box, it was filled with fireworks. 😂
Can’t wait to see how you DIY the project piece you picked up. Great finds. Hope you all have a fantastic weekend.
Thank you so much! Hopefully it will warm up soon so I can paint it. Too cold here in Texas right now.
That wood box that you were gonna do a project item for lavender. My folks had one of those hanging on their kitchen wall. It was intended to hold packs of cigarettes and then you take one out from the bottom opening.
I need a oil lamp. I have not found one. That blue one was pretty
OMG all that beautiful cotton material!! I use Afghanis I keep for cool nites sitting by the 🔥 pit
Good price on the large basket. I would have snagged it too. I like the textures on it.
Always enjoy your videos! Wonderful
I love that little pitcher and bowl set. I love my home state of Georgia and I have the name on my clothes and even my mask. I'm so glad you found a wick dispenser for that oil lamp. Now all we need to do is find you a hutch cabinet, lol. See ya on the next shopping trip!
Thank you! Yes I’m forever searching.
Thank you for sharing!!!!!!
It was great to see a collaboration between you and Tanya! Your styles are so different but you both have the same passion for thrifting. I never see oil lamps at my thrift stores. I bought one at an antique store last week but price was higher but reasonable. On wood pieces with hearts, it is possible to cover holes with wood putty or Bondo. You tape the back with masking tape and then apply the putty. Let it dry then sand it. I recently saw a how to on Ginger Chick. I used Bondo on a bread box and it came out amazing!
That’s awesome! Thank you!
Great deal getting all the oil lamp parts you need from a spare lamp! Dishes having a smell seems really odd. I'd bleach them anyway & then put them through the dishwasher again. Or you could let them soak in baking soda water. Happy Valentine's Day!
Thank you so much!
Hi Julie ...many nice pieces today ...I have the wooden heart candle holder and I love it
Great haul thank you for sharing
So I love your videos, you passed some things that I would of loved , I love the craft board with all the sewing supplies and the heart placemats I so would of got those . Also that wood box that you were looking at for you lavender did have a price on it for $1.99, you must of passed by it but your hand was next to it. Those fourth of july baskets, first they weren't made in the USA, second the large one was $1.99 and the small one was $2.99 also the stripes were going a different direction away from the stars. So I wonder if efferdent denture cleaner would clean those Falz Craft cups for you. Oh I did want to tell you , I have used napkin rings for around some curtains or to hang them , they look cool and they are strong. Can't wait to watch you again 🙂🙂. Happy Velentines day
Thank you so much! And I sure must have missed that price lol
Ironstone is sometimes marked stoneware. It’s heavier and usuAlly white or beige
The gray pitchers is beautiful!
Congrats on the oil lamp parts and the clear one you have is beautiful. I collect oil lamps and chimneys myself
Thank you!
Sit your dishes in the sun for a couple of days will take the smell also works for plastic tubs you store. Leftovers in
Awesome tip. Thank you!
I caught on right away.
I’m in Georgia! My goodwill is so expensive I had to find other thrift stores in the surrounding areas. You find such great deals!
Thank you! And yes mine gets pricey too!
