On the West Coast here, we only have around a hundred and fifty years history. But my daughter just moved to the East Coast and shes blown away by finding gorgeous antiques on every corner. Granny passes away, and the family puts everything out in the yard sale. They have 300+ years of history on the East Coast and Granny hung on to all the family heirlooms. I'm so jealous.
I'm from Chas. SC but stuck in OH for now & I so miss all those fantastic estate/garage sales! Of course, they have antiques here, but their style is a lot different. I'm moving back home soon & can't wait! I'm suppose to be downsizing, but that's not really working. lol I can't wait to move back home & find even more goodies! 😉
@@superannieoakley4513I'm in Charleston too.
@@pollyporter-campbell7493 Best place ever! 😉
I just stumbled onto your channel.. I’m 75 and am loving all the young women loving antique and traditional decor in their homes. I plan on watching your older videos because I can find new fresh ideas. Am subscribing right now!❤
Your planter would look gorgeous with amaryllis bulbs in it this Christmas.
I don’t know if you have a cat, but I would stuff a big squishy black velvet cushion into the ash bucket to make a cat bed 🐈⬛
I nabbed a collection of 42 beautiful leather bound vintage classic books at a garage sale for $40 last weekend at a garage sale. It’s not uncommon to find books at garage sales but to find books that are already on the TBR in near perfect condition and for so cheap? My magnum opus thrift moment for sure.
Salt & pep- I would just black nail polish the tip of the pepper, it's such a tiny ball, it would be so subtle
brilliant idea for the salt pepper shakers
What does TBR mean?

Use wine glass charms to differentiate your salt & pepper shakers.
This is such a good idea!!
I was thinking that too - maybe with a white bead for salt and a black bead for pepper
Are the holes in one slightly larger?
There really is something scientific about the ambiance of candlelight. It quiets us. The dimmer hours of evening, prepare our brains for sleep. The dance of flame is mezmerizing and calming. We can learn things from the past lifestyles that would better ground us today. We are on our bright phone screens past midnight these days, and we all have sleep issues.
So true!!!
I was wondering if you have ever considered a coffee table book ... Meeker Home through the Seasons... I would love to have a compilation of your home for spring, summer, fall and of course Christmas!!!! Your aesthetic is so unique from any other bloggers. I love everything you do.
Oh, wow - that is an amazing idea ! I would buy it !
I found a whole set of the Wexford canisters, decanter, candy dish and that same dish you have at an estate sale. He gave me the WHOLE box for $10. Also included a beautiful milk glass hobnail lamp! I felt like I stole that whole box of stuff!
I have a very unique suggestion for your ash bucket. My husband picked up 2 very similar buckets at a second hand store & made an outdoor fountain out of them. They are nestled so that 1 bucket pours into the next & then into a small stock tank. The water recirculates. One bucket is brass & one is copper. The stock tank has been painted an earthy green with a copper band. Quite attractive & the sound is wonderful!!! I too live in Kansas & the sound of running water is a rarity here😊😊
Loving all the frames and that bucket find was awesome. Happy Mothers Day!
Thank you!! ❤️
Happy Mothers day! Ive missed you and happy to see your video! I enjoy them so much. I would fill the beautiful pot with birch logs.
Thank you!! Was a bummer to be away longer than expected but always happy when I have stuff to share here!! I also like the idea of logs in it!
What great finds!! Can't wait to see how you put it all together in your beautiful Home! Please do a video of how you Style these!! 💚💚💚 I would LOVE to see! Also, has anyone ever told you that you look like Kimberly Williams Paisley? With your hair longer, there is such a resemblance 😁😀🤗!!
The book Black Beauty is wonderful I read it as a child❤
Me too! Very good book! I have been looking at Black Beauty books recently because the illustrations are beautiful and it's a good book 😊
Wonderful treasures! Helpful tip: compare the hole diameters on your salt and pepper shakers, the larger hole for salt, smaller hole for pepper…also number of holes in each helps, more holes for salt, less holes for pepper. Enjoy your fun finds and looking forward to your next video.✨🌹✨
If there is room in your bathroom, you could roll towels and put them in your ash bucket. What a great find!
What treasures! The ash holder with blue white handles would make a beautiful ice/ drinks bucket! Thank you for the tips.
Pardon me for drooling over your exquisite finds!
Ideas for coal bucket:
Rolled towels in container set inside or arrangement of dried grasses, pheasant or peacock feathers. Architectural Spindles propped in bucket. S&P tie on vintage earrings-
jewelry-dark for pepper, light for salt.
You will astound us,
for sure.
That is a sewing machine drawer and the little holes were for those long skinny bobbins. My grandmother's machine had a drawer like that.
The coal hod is such a decorative statement piece on its own! How beautiful! Perhaps aspen logs/sticks with the lighter tone and peeling bark would be a great contrast.
I always love your finds 😊 no one around my area ever has great garage sales . I need to go antique shopping to find anything that is vintage and gorgeous. Happy Mother’s Day❤
You could use little charms attached to tiny chains, maybe letters like S and P, or little beads, one white and one black. Kinda like wine glass charms.
I love this idea!
Your drawer was the front drawer of a treadle machine. The holes are fir long bobbins, which are older than the round flat bobbins. Great haul!
I would use the bucket to hold blankets near the fireplace. Love the planter it is beautiful.
The beautiful planter with the drainage hole looks deep enough to hold a saucer under a pot plant. You have some amazing finds.
The salt and pepper shakers are beautiful. You could have a 'p' and 's' engraved on them.
That is the best idea of all.
Love all your wonderful goodies!! That bucket is AaaaaMAZING!!! I adore the silhouettes as well! TFS!! I always look forward to your videos! ❤
How about a tiny black and white velvet ribbon on the salt and pepper shakers.
I love your videos, they helped me so much. I have anxiety and just hearing you speak calms my soul. Thank you for being online.
Wow.. you really found some great items! I cant really single out any one thing because i like them all. I can never find brass candlesticks w that drip bottom and handle. Very cool. The book.. yes to books and copper.
Usually, the salt shaker has less holes than the pepper shaker
They are identical, same number of holes and all! I forgot to mention that. Haha.
I have that exact same coal/ash bucket. I just have it sitting by our fireplace. Idk what to do with it! My husband loved it, it reminded him of his grandmother
GOSH you always find wonderful items
That drawer is from an antique treadle sewing machine, possibly a Singer or New Williams, circa 1874-1899. It would have been the center front drawer, whether it was a pullout or a dropdown and the holes are meant for the bobbin spools. ~Chris
Soooo jealous that you have such great garage sales in your area. Every time I go to one, and I go often, if I try to haggle the price at all the first thing out of the sellers mouth is “Well this is what it goes for on EBay” 🤦🏻♀️
Absolutely love the ideas. My girlfriend’s & I go out on Fridays to estate & garage sales. We have always called certain sales driveby’s mostly when there’s baby c**p & kids toys. I used to have my own second hand store & this always made it easier to determine whether or not we should waste our time. Love your channel 💋
Lovely episode as always!
You’re sewing drawer looks very similar to some in my grandmother’s old-fashioned treadle machine sewing cabinet. That would be the piece either in the front apron that would hold spindles and other sewing essentials, or on the side to swing out from one end. Yours may be similar to this. Either way, lovely find!
I would use it the coal bin as a planter the green with the copper will look lovely
I think so too!! 😍
I think that you could tie a white/ off white ribbon around the neck of the salt shaker and a black one around the pepper.
I love everything you have found.
Footed copper pot is fabulous…
Great finds! I look forward to your kitchen makeover.
You really scored on those items- good job!
I’d definitely use the large copper ash bucket as a planter
I think your bucket would look beautiful next to the fireplace with birch logs in it - I have a vintage olive bucket next to mine & over a couple of years, around the holidays, I was able to find different lengths & widths of birch at places like T.J.Maxx, Michael’s, Hobby Lobby - I think birch is so beautiful but I’m in Florida & there is some birch, but not the beautiful white birch, so I have to hunt for it in stores ! Love all the treasures you found !
Krysa. Your decor in your home is lovely.. Enjoy seeing your thrift items and antique store finds. Thanks for sharing your haul.
Everything is just so beautiful 😍
Our ash bucket I found to style with some branches inadvertently became the dog toy box lol. Our dog goes and shops through it for the perfect toy 🧸 🦮🐾
You can pair the center of the arch frame with call paint so your son has a place to draw with calk. His own calk board in his room 😊
How about adding a metal hang tag with the letter S and P in metal as well?
This is a great idea!!
Hi Krysta. Such gorgeous finds!! You have a great eye for details. For the salt & pepper shakers you could use a little rub and buff on one so that the colour is slightly different and this would give you that slight difference you need.
I’m new as well..love that skuttle copper bucket..I have a mini version given to me by my mom..lions on the side..I’d def put some faux greenery in it..omg I love it!❤great haul!
Beautiful haul, so love the Wee Picture with the red velvet and the other 2 sweeties ! Love the wee copper Cauldron and wow that other piece !! I would pop a plant in it like an Aspardistra?? in it , they are a fave Victorian Plant as they can handle low light x
Yes! The candle "trend". I saw it as well and have been trying it...and it kinda works! Wild!
I use those plastic plant trays in the inside of my containers to protect them. You don’t need a tray under the container that way
I was at Michaels today and thought of you. They have a line out "Nevermore Decor" that is your vibe. You scored some great things!
Hi. For the salt and pepper shakers. Dab the little ball on top with black rub & buffet for the pepper. I love your videos!
yes, it is from a sewing machine it is the center drawer. The sewing machine cabinet is designed much like a desk with vertical drawers (usually 3 down each side) then one shallow drawer in the center just like a desk. the little holes were to hold sewing utensils/tools. that type of drawer usually folded down like todays sink Caddys for your scubbys etc. some were on a swing arm.
You could tie a white ribbon on the salt container and a black ribbon on the pepper container!
A lot of great finds, I love them all!
I love your music....very calming.
Fantastic finds!!! U have a great eye!!! Very enjoyable video!!! Well done!!!💞💞🙃💞💞
Beautiful finds, ❤
Love love your finds! Coal bucket would look beautiful with Aspen logs.
Halloween maybe fill it with skulls and moss. But who am I to tell you?? You are my mentor. 😅Happy Mother’s Day
Those are great ideas!! 🙌
@@KrystaMeeker 😁
Everything is so lovely,I just got the same coal bucket 2 months ago. Paid 30 so you got a great deal. Happy Mother’s Day. So glad to see you.
I have a few copper scuttles. One has a plant in it and another has logs. The larger one with logs is by my fireplace.
Really fantastic finds ❤😊
I'm with you on the tarnish!
Love all your finds especially the frames !!! You have given us get ideas to help us find sales in our area. Thank you !!!
Love your finds! I’d use the scuttle bucket for either a planter for tall faux realistic lavender and moss OR I’d collect up larger crocheted doilies and roll them facing roll up to display. Ivories and white and different textures. Another idea, is a collection of vintage tapered candles, various sizes and colors. Fill it up.
Love your videos so much! ❤
You could make some kind of metal stamped tags for the salt and pepper shakers.
Hi Krysta! I love lionheads too! In the large planters/lionhead thing, you could also roll up towels and put in the bathroom...that would be pretty and luxurious! Kelly Jacksonville FL
Great haul🎉🎉
Nice coal hod. I would put a big potted plant or flowers in that. You can place it almost anywhere; nice find.
Your sewing drawer went on the front of an antique sewing machine table that held an antique sewing machine inside. The drawer would pull out from the front to hold thread or needles or any sewing equipment.
Salt and pepper shakers like the ones you have usually have different amounts of holes in them; more holes for salt, less for pepper (or vice-versa if you like pepper more than salt 😊)…that’s typically how you can tell the (subtle) difference…IF they have the same amount of holes you could stencil a small “S” or “P” on the side of each shaker…
Rolled up towels for bathroom next to claw foot tub, near an antique marble free standing sink with original porcelain handles and an amazing gilded distressed silver mirror lol
Such lovely finds!!! I've missed your videos! Hope you had an amazing Mother's Day!!
I love your copper cauldron !!!!!
You always have the best antique finds with awesome prices!
Been waiting for so long for a new video!! Great mother's day gift😂
A fancy small dog or cat bed. Would be all the rage. Jealous little nuggets from far and wide. And it's totally portable. The new quiet wealth thing. Brilliant! I said it first.
I have that butter dish. My bought in the 90s I'm pretty sure from Hobby Lobby. I think it was part of a collection that had many different pieces.
Hi…love your beautiful finds….for the gorgeous ash planter with the blue porcelain handles..of course typical use can be fire logs..but rolled up towels long ways and put in bathroom, but I have seen those with a fern plant …and it is stunning….the grape embossed oval metal planter.. I would not use it as an planter unless you can find an oval plastic insert(amazon or Lowes/Home Depot) ..it will kill the plant and will rust inside..that is what causes the plant to die off due to rust gets into the soil spreads into the plant…use it more as a decorative piece …you could also fill it with decorative soaps in packaging and sea sponges/little wooden brush scrubbers..just layer cloth inside for volume… or roll up hand towels and put in your bathroom, near your tub on a wooden moody/dark stool at the tub or if you have room near your sink in the bathroom or on the back of the toilet if there’s room ….in a cabinet that has an open facing, or laundry room to hold laundry items or faux plant as well…it’s so beautiful it would be more for the decorative piece to the eye.. but you have a good eye..you will come up with great ideas!😊
The salt and pepper, you could tie a black ribbon on one for black pepper.
Great haul!
I like your ideas for your son's desk area. I know that he'll enjoy reading Black Beauty with you!
I love the toned finish of the butter dish 👍🏻
So, with your candle idea.. please consider that the crystal may not take the heat generated by a candle, hot wax and break. ( spill wax start a fire) All candle votives are toughened heat rated glass. But if your game it's a fabulous use, for sure.
Thank you so much!!!
Just found your channel.Beautiful decor items.
On the copper coal bucket, put a potted plant in it but keep it in its pot so you don’t ruin the finish. You may even be able to put two or three small to medium ones
The copper planter would be great for halloween i love the copper bucket i have a small one the salt and pepper I would get an ornate s and p and tie them round the top of them with a ribbon
Yeah I thought the same thing for the planter. Little gourds/squash/pumpkins would be cute in it, or skulls
I have few different coal buckets and I love to arrange flowers dry or nice fake ones in them around the house
Thank you Krysta! Suggest for your salt and pepper shakers to use wine glass charms with S and P. I really enjoy watching your channel. 😊
I love the coal and ash bucket. I haveca blue and yellow toile room. Id put my firewood in it next to the fireplace. You scored on everything today. I'm looking to frame toile pieces for my wall. I will seek out an assortment of frames.
Great stuff
When I was growing up my aunt and uncle owned 3 coal mines and everyone in our family had a coal and ash bucket like yours, except those had the mine logo on them. They’re all gone now, not one relative has one. I’ve looked for them, and as you said they’re $75 and up. I can’t bring myself to buy one because I want one from our family. Hopefully, someone has one stuffed behind their furnace or in their garage and I’ll still be able to get one that means something to me. I’d set it beside our fireplace, if I ever find one.
I would paint a thin band of black and white paint for the salt and pepper shakers
Happy Mothers Day my love. Please pray for me , my partner has been diagnosed with cancer - it was shocking and my heart is in pain 😭😭🥺great finds
Father God, I ask that you send your peace, your wisdom, and your healing into Susan's husband's body. May the power of the blood of Christ Victorious be released into his body, causing every cancerous cell and growth to leave, and bringing his body into the perfect order with which you created him. In Jesus's name I pray, knowing you are the God of the Impossible, our Healer and Defender.
The salt and pepper shakers, put a tiny bow tie around the neck of the one you designate as pepper.
Planter with grapes 🍇 on base could be used with a container inside for icing wine for entertaining
Your first planter looks like a spitoon. Love the great frames you found, and the coal scuttle was a huge bargain. I'd put it by yhe fireplace with a few pieces of wood.
