I love the way you did this video! Most of the time youtubers scan their room to fast and you cant see items up close. You are so good at styling each item with layering to where it flows together. The mantel with baskets is awesome! It felt like you truly are in a country cottage. Love it.😊❤

Your house is lovely Julie definitely you should try spray painting the galvanized buckets get some enamel spray paints make them look old you can rust them using household chemicals seal them afterwards

Your basket mantel is beautiful. I think it would be great for all the seasons/holidays with a little tweaking. Maybe you would like the galvanized pieces next to wall clock if they were painted.Everything looks cozy & inviting. I enjoy watching you style/use your thrifted finds.

Great video! I decorate with antiques baskets and needlework. I am avid stitcher. my walls are covered with my stitched pieces. I had the same picture that had all the pictures of farm things. I left it at a previous house. it covered a utity box. my husband served 29 years in the AirForce. We moved 18 times. so my things come from all over. I decorate with lots of quilts that I made and it red white and blue. I lived twice in Texas. in San Antonio and Wichita Falls . love seeing all your treasures.
I absolutely love the fireplace. It's beautiful. Will be excited to see Christmas also. Great job decorating. My granddaughter went to a estate sale and bought 2 big crocks. Huge. Number 3. She gave me one. She is such a sweetheart. I love it

Love the baskets hanging on the mantel!! The weather is changing here in Canada Love your channel! ...try spraying your little galvanized buckets if you don't like them and try making slip covers for your couch...I'm no seamstress but I managed to make some for my couch...it's not as hard as you might think
I was also gonna suggest painting those galvanized hangers by your clock. They would be pretty black to match your clock.

Julie , what a wonderful room, the fireplace vignette is just delicious ❤️👏❤️. Just a thought, when you decorate the fireplace and baskets for Christmas, take a picture and have it made into your Holiday cards.
The tin sconces between the large clock, you remarked how you were tired of the galvanized tin, just paint them black or cream, the greenery will pop!

Hi Julie, everything looks nice. You should consider spray painting the galvanized tin planters the same matte black you used for your grandmas mirror .

I bet you could use a brown rub and buff on the galvanized buckets, or even paint them and use Antiquing Wax on them to make them match the clock better. Even changing the greenery to more fall colors might help you like it better.
Oh my goodness!! I have been waiting and waiting for this video where you show your mantle. I saw the video where you mentioned and showed for a second your inspiration pic in the magazine and I thought it was SO beautiful!! And then I lost it. I rewatched your videos and I couldn't find it again but I knew you would show it for Fall. I think it's so , so, so, beautiful and sweet. I took a screen shot of the magazine pic and your mantle and I am going to copy it. I think yours is every bit as pretty as the magazine. My Fall is already decorated but I will do it for Christmas! I think it's gorgeous. My house is like yours. EVERYTHING pretty much is thrifted. People just don't know what you can do with thrifted items. I live in Houston and there is a lot of Goodwill's and thrift stores! And I like how you pull the camera out and let us see the whole pic also. So many TH-camrs don't do that. You just see a lot of close ups and it hard to tell if it's beautiful or if it's not! HaHa! Can't wait to see what you do for Christmas!!

The baskets are gorgeous!!!! Gorgeous!!!! When we built our fireplace we forgot to put achors in the rock wall for a mantel 😑 and we use it 6 months of the year. I've tried hanging my metal texas stars above it but nothing worked! Too much heat loosens the hangers🥺 That is sooo beautiful I can't wait to see Christmas!!😍😍😍 You should be able to buy a cover for your couch, we bought, sight unseen 😑, 2 recycled elk leather couches, paid a small fortune for them so they will be here long after I'm gone 😳, dark brown looks like suede....oh the fingerprint marks drives me insane!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣 I am looking for covers too that will handle multiple washings cause my dog sheds worst than I do😕. Your home is beautiful!!!

Your home is exactly what you want it to portray…I love it! I’m from back in the day when Country Living magazine first made it’s debut 😯😄and I think the whole nation went antique and antique primitive wild! And you really had to hunt for your goodies back then…no Facebook marketplace or Ebay and the rest of internet sites. We found it all by thrifting at garage sales, and flea mkts were a big thing. Some people were lucky enough to inherit some things. And by that days standards…what we were collecting was valuable. By todays standards…not so much. Some of it anyway! When I watch all of you young women on TH-cam take us shopping with you…and you are videoing the shelves somewhere…I’m like…omg…you just went right by that so and so…because in my day we’d have grabbed it up fast! 😁But you’re different! You actually have “stuff “
