These are amazing, they turned out exactly as shown. I’ve tried everything over many years to make a good falafel at home and many on the net tell you its not possible. I was starting to believe them. The air fryer and this technique is a game changer, it was worth buying an air fryer just for this. Finally I can make awesome falafel at home, THANK YOU 😀!!!
We’re happy to hear that you loved them. Ever since we’ve got our air fryer, we’ve basically been using it every single day. Do check out more air fryer recipes here if you’re interested. Thank you!
Thank you for the recipe! I upped the greens because I wanted to use them up and they still turned out great. The tips in the written recipe really helped too!
Hi Bea and Marco Thanks for sharing your recipe with us…I’ve got a task infront of me trying to convince my family that we should change the way we make Falafel 🧆 and start cooking it in the air fryer…I’m not sure they will agree with me 😂 Take care and stay safe. God bless 🙏🏽🧆💜😊
Hahaha! It’s like me trying to convince my little sister to “air fry” chicken instead of deep-frying them 😅. It needs a bit of time. Perhaps you could surprise them by making them in air fryer but don’t tell until they finish eating 😅😂.
Could I use dried but skinless chickpeas for this recipe or must they absolutely have the skin on? I understand that canned chickpeas are a big NO-NO, but might dried skinless chickpeas be a good compromise for texture? Also could I substitute the cayenne for paprika?
Hi! I haven't tried with skinless chickpeas but let me know the result if you do, now I'm wondering too. For the paprika, absolutely you can substitute it. Have fun!
I reheat them in the air fryer. I’ve made the mixture 1 day before and shaped them when I wanted to cook them, no problem. It’s better shaping them and place them in the air fryer basket directly. Hope it helps!
Dear Bea and Marco, please let me know which mixer you use to make the dough for Crispy Air Fryer Falafel with Creamy Tahini Sauce. My blender fails to chop the soaked chickpeas and the rest of the ingredients. Thank you for the delicious recipe ideas on your website. Greetings from Germany Margitta
Hi Margitta! We use our Ninja food processor. So far we're loving it, here's the link if you'd like to check it out (affiliate link) amzn.to/3z3Gzx7 Hope it helps and we're happy to know that you're enjoying our recipes, thank you!
@@elmundoeats Thanks. I am opening a health cafe and gonna try out different methods and see what works best. The trouble is that I can't get the customer to wait 15m . So thinking of preparing a portion every 15m and if it's not sold while hot i'll eat them myself at end of day.
Hi Angel! Sorry to hear you’re having problems with the recipe. If you didn’t change/substitute any ingredients then I think it’s because the “dough” is too wet. Add a few tbsp of all-purpose flour to save it. Also when shaping it, don’t press too much, less is more. Hope it helps!
These look absolutely amazing. I will definitely be trying this recipe and making for my family. Thank you so much.
@@lynaisfly yay! That’s awesome, hope you and your family like it as much as we do 😊

Making these. How do you reheat them and do they hold up storing overnight?
I reheat them in the air fryer. I’ve made the mixture 1 day before and shaped them when I wanted to cook them, no problem. It’s better shaping them and place them in the air fryer basket directly. Hope it helps!
They tuned out pretty good!@@elmundoeats
what is the oil sprayer that you use, it looks very efficient?
I used a local supermarket brand here in Spain called Hacendado. I’ve used Costco’s oil spray and it was great too.

Can you keep these warm for around 10-20m or are best consumed rightaway?
They’re best consumed right away (hot/warm), but you can always reheat them.

@@markculatto779 yeah I get you. Well I think it’s great that you’re thinking of different methods. We wish you all the success with your cafe!
are you sure those were teaspoons? they looked bigger. i made this and it missed flavor
Can i bake them in oven instead of air fryer ?
Yes you can. Add the temperature by 20C, turn on the convection setting and adjust cooking time.
What are the proportions?
Written ingredients are in the link in the description box above 👆
What quantity of chickpeas were added to this recipe?
It’s 1 cup.
👌👌👌👌👏👏👏
My falafals become dry in airfryer, what to do
Oh no, did you change anything in the recipe?
I was making this recipe for dinner, and i just pulled my mixture out of the fridge and this mixture does not hold shape. it is crumbling apart
