Hi Connor i’ve been a quadriplegic for about 27 years. I use the ablenet Trackerpro 2. I really like it and use it for work , to create art and music. You’ve got a great set up. Looking forward to more videos!
Looks like a nice setup - great little office! I noticed that you have followers who are reaching out to each other thanks to your page- that is terrific! You have a lovely camera lady BTW
you could hire someone to attach additional surfaces custom fit for the sides so you can rest your arms! Could even do something you flip out when you need it and flip back under the desk when you dont. Or pieces that slide out
Hey Connor and Lindsay - that's a very cool set-up and thank you very much for putting these videos out there so that we can all benefit from the info. Cool to hear that you're able to even play a few games with the new nano headmouse - what sort of games are you currently playing?
Hey Jason I’ve been playing some Path of Exile lately! Definitely a good neck workout haha. I’ve also played Old School Runescape, and maybe someday down the road I’d like to get a quad stick and get into some FPS games.
@@JourneywiththeFosters Bad ass - I had no idea that the quad stick existed and it looks like you'll be able to play a ton of stuff with that once you get that. If you're into card games or rogue-like dungeon crawlers, Slay the Spire and Dungeons of Dredmor might be right up your alley (: I've sank a good number of hours into those personally.
Great video. Have you considered a yeti blue microphone rather than a headset. I'm not sure if you prefer the headset because of phone use, but I prefer the yeti because it's hands-free.
you mentioned it was tough to play games. have you ever thought about playing some chess? I've been playing about a year now, and it's a pretty fun, intense game with a lot of depth.
Hello, this video has been helpful. I have muscular dystrophy. I use a device called Glassouse. Its a Wireless Bluetooth Wearable Hands Free Mouse. I've been using it on my tablet since last year, and it works great. Works for computers, but I didn't try it yet. You can buy it on Amazon. I haven't heard of HeadMouse nano before. I use a similar device called SmartNav which is not sold anymore.
@@JourneywiththeFosters did Connor have this job before he got paralyzed? Or did he get this job after his paralyzation? Also, my name is Wesley, I have been paralyzed for almost 5 years now, I am a C-5 quadriplegic… I actually got paralyzed while I was driving to the hospital of all things/places lol! My right foot started to tingle and go numb, like it was falling asleep… That feeling went away and then came back about 10 seconds later but about 1 million times more intense… To the point it almost hurt. That feeling started very very slowly creeping out of my right leg, and by the time it got halfway up to my right knee, I knew something was very wrong so I pulled over to the side of the road and put it in park. Within 60 seconds I was fully paralyzed from the chest down! I literally had just enough time to reach over and unbuckle my seatbelt, and then due to gravity and the laws of motion, I then fell into the middle of the seats… Between the front seats I mean, And I landed on my hands and knees… I couldn’t move a thing… For the people out there reading this that aren’t paralyzed, A.k.a. walkers as I called them lol! Imagine being on your hands and knees between the front seats and then imagine your entire body is in fresh cement all the way up to your neck… This is what it’s like to be paralyzed! My fiancé at the time drove me the rest of the quarter mile to the hospital. I was at that hospital for seven or eight hours. My blood pressure dropped down all the way to 41/36. They ended me up taking me into an operating room on a metal table, strapping my feet in and inverting me with my feet above my head at a 45° angle. It took 4 1/2 hours for them to stabilize my blood pressure… Once my blood pressure was stabilized for at least an hour, I waited about another hour for my ride to get there which just so happened to be a helicopter. I got life flighted from Olympia to Harborview Hospital in Seattle, Washington. This is part of my story, I was 33 when I got paralyzed, I am now 38. Connor, your story is truly inspirational! Also, do you work full-time? Or do you get disability and work a limited amount of hours? And please let me know if this is too personal, I was just curious. Have an amazing day my brother, and no speeding tickets lol
@@neighborhoodfriendlyquadri343 what was the incident that happened that led to the paralysis in your car? Was there an accident? I'm sorry you went through that! I had a stroke last year (at 37 years old) do I have left side paralysis. Still figuring out how I'm going to go back to working.
@@84naners Hey there! I am so incredibly sorry that you had a stroke and are struggling to recover… I can’t imagine how hard that must have been and how hard it must be… My name is Wesley, and me and you are the same age believe it or not! Lol I am 38, but I will be 39 in August on the 27th. When is your birthday? And an answer to your question, I had an abscess in my spinal cord at C5 that caused my paralysis. And thank you so incredibly much for your concern, that’s really sweet of you! :-). How is your day going so far? … I suppose I should be asking how is your night going so far instead because it’s night time lol. I would love to hear back from you and I look forward To your response. I hope you have a wonderful evening and feel free to message me anytime day or night!
My husband types with his thumbs too! You all are great together. Loving your videos! ❤️

Thank you! Definitely hoping to spark and receive some discussion and tips on these things. And yes, wonderful camera lady :)
Hydraulic standing desk was a great idea.
It has worked great for Connor!
Maybe find a wood worker in your area that can cut a custom shaped top for what you want for the desk and reuse the up/down mechanism. Just a thought.
