    As a retired, spinal cord injury nurse of 31 years, I must say you put a lot of work into learning your transfers, and whoever your therapist was had to be awesome. Just a little FYI I was married to a paraplegic T9 for 23 years till he passed away of brain cancer.

      You are beautiful people! My daddy had a spinal injury at 70. He learned to use the slide board too! I feel so close to him this moment. 😘 He pasted years later. Keep up the love and all the good work. Blessings!

    Would it be possible to install an overhead trapeze for you to grab to help you slide on your board easier or to adjust
    your position in bed? Sounds expensive, I know. Thanks for sharing.

      It’s possible, I noticed one in an episode of Lost haha! Although probably easier to use for paraplegics.

    I realize you guys just started but your volume is really low..is it the mic? or just learning where to place it?

    I am curious - it looks like you have core strength am I right? I have never seen anyone transfer alone- that is great!

    • @JourneywiththeFosters
      @JourneywiththeFosters  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He is paralyzed from the chest down, so no he does not have core strength. With lots of practice however, he is able to maintain decent balance with transfers.

    Hi, what type of mattress do you have?

    • @JourneywiththeFosters
      @JourneywiththeFosters  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just picked one via recommendation of the bed manufacturer. Firm enough to transfer, yet soft enough to prevent pressure sores!
