I too am a quad since 2011 June I was at a party and starting to feel sick I fainted and broke my neck at C5/6 level. I am still with my husband he stayed with me we have twin sons 25-yrs old and we celebrated our 25-yr anniversary last summer. I can look after myself - I have incomplete injury so I still have full bladder and bowel control. It is nice knowing you both! xo
We are sorry to hear that happened to you, but happy you now have such a full life. Congratulations on 25 years of marriage! Thank you for following along. We are happy you are here!
You are still a warrior fighting on with this injury.I'm glad you still have control in the bathroom.Honestly that is what I fear the most.A wheelchair ok,but diapers and catheters is what makes me think I would try to unalive myself.
I'm also a C5/C6 quadriplegic and like Connor lost my mom at a very young age. One life changing trauma after another is not easy to deal with. Connor is lucky to have such an amazing and supportive partner. As a 47 year old in a wheelchair for 14 years, I can tell you these traumas don't automatically resolve with time, unless they are gradually untangled with the help of a therapist. Sooner you do it the better. People who go through trauma at a young age, especially related to a close relationship end up being overly nice guys and I can see it in Conno's personality.

Most special thing about TIRR - it’s in Texas! ❤ You shared some embarrassing moments, so I’ll tell you one of mine (I hope it makes you laugh). The first time I was allowed outside rehab on my own (I could use my arms), I managed to run my chair off the edge of the sidewalk and get a wheel stuck between the concrete and the grass. Try as I might, I wasn’t strong enough to muscle the wheel up and out. I knew they’d come looking for me eventually, but it was starting to get cold, so I swallowed my pride, pulled out my cell phone and called the nurse’s station for help. They were a little confused at first because the call came in on an outside line. But they came out and rescued me.

First of all, congratulations on getting married! That is a huge accomplishment in life!! I would like to tell you that you are most indeed… A multiple time miracle! You are such a strong person my good sir… You have overcome massive obstacles in your life since becoming paralyzed… God has been guiding you through your life and I was just curious, did you get paralyzed in 2020 or 2021? And to Lindsay, You guys seem like a perfect match for each other… I have come to learn that when somebody in a relationship gets paralyzed, it is a split them up, or it makes him stronger as a couple… And it’s clear to see to the world that it has brought you two stronger together! Which that in itself is a huge blessing from God! You seem to be a very strong young lady, and God will bless you so incredibly much for being there for each other and taking care of each other! Never doubt the power of God! In Christ we can do all things and overcome anything! My name is Wesley SALWAY, I went to Set Free men’s Christian discipleship ministry for recovery in ELMA, Washington 6 years ago in 2016. This is my story… Chapter 1 or 2 I got paralyzed from the chest down four years ago, and I’ve died four times since becoming paralyzed. I overdosed on heroin two times. The third time I died, was a suicide attempt, and I ended up taking 30 oxycodone’s and seven Dilaudid pills for a total of 150 mg of oxycodone and 28 mg of Dilaudid. (This was one of the five suicide attempts in 2018 alone) It took about 2 1/2 hours for my body to digest because it was such a large amount. I started blacking out and going in and out of consciousness… I got into the ambulance after my mom called 911 and less than five minutes after leaving my house in the ambulance, They had to pull over on the side of the road and park because my heart stopped. After giving me CPR, I came back to life and proceeded on to the hospital! The fourth time that I died was from a life-threatening infection called Pseudomonas Aeruginosa. My heart stopped for over two hours. God reached down from the heavens with his MIGHTY hand of healing and literally brought me back to life from the dead!! My name is Wesley, I am 37 years old and live in Seattle, and this is my testimony! God is real and is so incredibly good!! I hope my story inspires you to Believe in God as I am a multiple time miracle! God literally brought me back to life and He never left my side even in death, He was with me! Thank you God for life and thank you for me to reach people with my testimony. Lord I pray for peace and healing to all who read this! In Jesus name I pray, amen chapter 1 I was in the hospital with the same life-threatening infection that killed me on October 13, 2018. Pseudomonas Aeruginosa. I was there for 10 days of IV antibiotic treatment, and they put a pick line in my arms that goes straight to the heart just like you have experienced before. God has been with me my entire life especially through the hard times and occasionally even when I’ve been dead. June 7, 2022 will mark exactly 5 years of me being paralyzed from the chest down! I am self-proclaimed funniest cripple in the world! Lol. I am also as humble as I can possibly be, and I pray that the Lord continues to humble me. A good part of my life at the exact time of one of the hardest parts/times of my life that one could possibly imagine… There were times when I was getting high that I pray to God that he would remove drugs and take them from me out of my life… God guided me in such an unexpected way.. I tried overdosing on cocaine (In 2016, the year before I got paralyzed) and in the midst of everything I ended up calling an ambulance for myself in which when I got to the hospital the day after I got there one of the doctors asked me if I believed in God… I responded by saying yes, I do believe in God. He responded by asking me to wait 15 or 20 minutes so he could grab a piece of paper. So I agreed to wait and 15 minutes later he handed me a piece of paper that forever changed my life... It had a list of about five different places for recovery. The first place I called didn’t pick up, and the second place on the list was SET FREE!! Shane Tommila... and Vladimir Morgan... you were both one of the first people that I met there and one of the most influential and inspiring people that I’ve met there. I want to personally thank you for having the faith in me of an awesome brother who made me believe the realness of God on a daily basis. You have altered and changed my life more than once for the better and I want to thank both you and God for cheering me on and setting me on a better path! Only you and two other people know how I ended up coming to set free. From one set free brother to another, I love you bro and thank you for being you!
@@JourneywiththeFosters You are most definitely more than welcome… That’s what God wants me to do after all those times he brought me back to life… That was his purpose for me to share my story of what God has done in my life and to let everyone know that God is real and that God is really a miracle worker! I appreciate you guys as well! This might be a longshot, but do you guys have any single friends by chance? Also, what struck me is, how truly life can change in a moment from so many different things. Hope to hear more of your journey.

Hey, you two, there's a great beachfront condo you can rent in Maui owned by a guy who lives on the island who is quad. Also found a van rental near airport. Maui is quad friendly. Pool has a chair. Hele ride recommended with Capt. Kirk. He's hysterical. Get him. You'll love it there and it's pretty much affordable. My friend is C6-7, since '84. Lots of us know tricks. Anywho, love ya both.
Very cool to help these guys look into vacation where they both can have a really great time. I traveled a lot when I was younger and actually cried when I left Kauai because it was the most beautiful place I had ever been and something magical happens there to our brains and souls🎉❤
you popped up on my youtube - I follow 2 other couples Squirmy&Grubs and Cole& Chrisma - I look forward to following your journey. You are a beautiful couple!

What a brave and beautiful couple. Congratulations and God bless.
Thank you so much 🤍
The meds did the same thing to me when I had knee replacement,I was completely out of my mind!
Such a strange feeling!
I have a genetic disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy and I'm a Christian. My husband and I have a little TH-cam channel where we talk about faith and disability. I have never walked and have very limited strength in my arms. It is so interesting to see this perspective of being able bodied then disabled. I cannot imagine how traumatic this experience has been for you two but I'm so glad you kept your faith in God!
God bless you both. Thank you for sharing your testimony. You both are so precious. 🙏❤
Have you ever watched cole and charisma they can probably offer so much insight. I have following them for a long time . It is roll with and charisma. You guys are amazing. And there is so much that will come your way G_D bless both of you and good luck

Connor dove into the shallow end of the pool. He used to dive into pools a lot a miscalculated where he was diving
Thanks for sharing your story
Thank you for your support🤍
Try coconut water or natural cranberry juice for the UTI it’s the PH maintenance…you definitely need a lot of prayer..
Happy for you both 😊
Inspiring story , God is all the time. God will make a way for you guys cause you honor Him in the most difficult time
Absolutely, couldn’t have said it better. Thank you Sonia 🤍
This is my story…
Chapter 1 or 2
I got paralyzed from the chest down four years ago, and I’ve died four times since becoming paralyzed. I started blacking out and going in and out of consciousness…
I got into the ambulance after my mom called 911 and less than five minutes after leaving my house in the ambulance, They had to pull over on the side of the road and park because my heart stopped.
God literally brought
me back to life and He never left my side even in death, He was with me! Thank you God for life and thank you for me to reach people with my testimony. Lord I pray for peace and healing to all who read this! In Jesus name I pray, amen
chapter 1
I was in the hospital with the same life-threatening infection that killed me on October 13, 2018.
A good part of my life at the exact time of one of the hardest parts/times of my life that one could possibly imagine…
There were times when I was getting high that I pray to God that he would remove drugs and take them from me out of my life… God guided me in such an unexpected way.. I tried overdosing on cocaine (In 2016, the year before I got paralyzed) and in the midst of everything I ended up calling an ambulance for myself in which when I got to the hospital the day after I got there one of the doctors asked me if I believed in God…
I responded by saying yes, I do believe in God.
Thank you for sharing your story, you are truly inspirational. We appreciate you!🤍
@@JourneywiththeFosters You are most definitely more than welcome… That’s what God wants me to do after all those times he brought me back to life… That was his purpose for me to share my story of what God has done in my life and to let everyone know that God is real and that God is really a miracle worker! I appreciate you guys as well! This might be a longshot, but do you guys have any single friends by chance? I am 5‘11“, I am 38, Caucasian with brown hair, brown and green hazel eyes, paralyzed from the chest down and wanting to share my life with someone special. I suppose I should mention that I am 57 inches tall in my wheelchair lol! Also, how is your day going so far if you don’t mind me asking? And thank you so much for commenting, I greatly appreciate it and both of you :-)
Omg I’m in pain for you so sorry you went thru all that 🙏🏻
Congratulations to you both
Thank you!
So inspiring.. wish you the best
Thank you so much!
A beautiful couple from the inside out.
Thank you🤍
i love you guys so much your story is beautiful and i love learning about what everyone goes through congratulations your so cute together both of you are just so lucky so it just makes me happy to see
Thank you so much Mindy. We are beyond happy you are here and appreciate your support. Sending our love!🤍
You guys were an encouragement right from the beginning of the video. Happiness is all over your faces. God Bless you! I had to sub. Not sure what’s ahead as far as videos but the danger of diving in to a pool in maybe a haphazard way? Is something we should be careful of? I mean he was an experienced swimmer. Also, what struck me is, how truly life can change in a moment from so many different things. Hope to hear more of your journey.
Diving is very common, but it only takes one time to be potentially injured. Nobody thinks it can happen to them, until it does. Our advice to everyone would be to not dive in pools period. One day, when we do have kids, that will be one lesson we teach them. Thank you for following along🤍
Is your injury complete? If not, what function/sensation do you have?
Blessing to you both sweet couple !
Thank you🤍
You guys are such an inspiration and see I have a TH-cam channel that well and I am very involved on my subscriber count but that doesn’t bother me at all I just want to get my messages crossed that I like to do things that make people happy and you guys do as well it seems I am a new subscriber thank you Siri you’re a story even when it gets hard to budge I love you Rebecca Russell from Canada
Thank you so much for your support Rebecca. We are so glad you’re here!🤍
You’re an adorable, brave couple. You can tell that there was no question you should marry. You are lucky to have each other. Lindsay, you look a lot like Princess Kate! May God give you both a smooth path going forward.
Amazing story❣️
Thank you 🤍
God will heal you hon- what he do for others will do for you🙏❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thank you!
Absolutely without God we have nothing your closeness to God will help both of you be happy
I’m curious why they administer so many heavy pain meds with someone who is paralyzed ? Were you feeling pain ?
What i learned from Cole (Roll with Cole and charisma from youtube ) Do not dive headfirst into shallow water ( not sure if that pool was shallow) 😩 God bless you guys 💕🙏🏽
It was in fact the shallow end of the pool😓 a freak accident. We hope to spread awareness about diving accidents, as it is something most people don’t think about. Thank you for your support, it means the world to us🤍
God has an amazing plans for you two. Keep HIM first and use your "new platform" for His glory and you will be abundantly blessed. You two remind me of a younger version of us @Swag-Ability
Definitely a warrior
Thank you!!
How long had you been dating when the accident occurred? You were talking about how you started dating in the fall of junior year and then Connor said that in June he jumped into the pool. Was it your first June together? You're a cute couple!
We have been together since 2014 and are high school sweethearts 🙂 before the accident we were together 6.5 years. Thank you!!
Too cool.. all I can say.. you guys are the ipidomy of faith.. love.. grace.. Jesus walks with you..
Was this an alcohol related incident in the pool? And how long where you estimated to be in the water before anyone realized you were injured?
Amazing 😻 guys- love ❤️ you guys 🙏❤️❤️
Thank you!🤍 we appreciate your support
Congrats 🎊 both- god’s able 🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️
Thank you 🤍
Love your videos. Please increase the volume for future videos. Had a hard time hearing it.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will be sure to fix this issue in the future. Thank you for following along🤍
You both are so so so good looking, beautiful and charming ✨
Thank you so much🤍
Such a terrible story but also sweet , I’m glad everything is better now you both are strong together 🙏🏻👍
This happens more often than you think it does. I treated three young men last summer. Diving into pools needs to stop.
100% agree. It only takes one time for an injury to occur.
Roll with Cole and Charisma.
Close has a simpler story. It was a river he dived into. But he still found love.
We have watched their videos since the beginning of Connor’s accident. They are amazing. We are happy you are here🤍
🙏🙏🙏
🤍
Awesome journey
