  • Have hot water in your travel trailer sooner when you get to your campsite. I have come up with a way to have my water hot as soon as I can. When I get to a campground, I want to be able to use the hot water as soon as I am done setting up my RV. I will take you through a campground setup that I have come up with and hopefully, it will help you as well.

    Great video! I usually run my water heater on electric when it's cooler out to save propane for the furnace and on propane when it's hot so I don't overload electrical with the AC on. I'll flip both on if we all take showers back to back go help it recover faster.

    Guarantee people don't consider all those amps for heating up and cooling down. Good tip 👌👍

    Great info. In mine the area where the flame is warming the tank seems to be some sort of particles hanging (string like). They will be orange, looking like they are burning. Is that normal? What is it?

    • @HowToRV
      @HowToRV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think that it might be buildup from the propane gasses overtime. I will take a look at mine and see if i have the same. How long have you hade yours?

    Can you leave hot water heater on all day and how long does it take to heat up

    • @HowToRV
      @HowToRV  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can leave it on all day as long as you have water in it. For how longit takes, it depends on the size of your water heater but mine takes around 15 to 30 minutes to reheat from complete cold.

  • @SistaSyd

    So you have to have water in the fresh water tank to get hot water? Does that mean you have to fill it up every time it runs out to get hot water?

    • @HowToRV
      @HowToRV  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You will if you are not connected to city water. If you are connected to city water, then you should not need to fill your freshwater tank. Just make sure that all your valves are in the right place so that water gets sent in the right direction.

      @@HowToRV can u help me something else? We got a new RV and can't figure out how to get heater to work.... our stove works and hot water.....

    • @HowToRV
      @HowToRV  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@SistaSydif you are talking about the heat in the RV, mine works by setting the thermostat to heat and making sure that the temperature is just above where we would normally have it in our home. It comes on when the temperature inside gets about 3 degrees colder than what the thermostat says.

      @@HowToRV we have brand new RV and for some reason it doesn't blow hot air

    • @HowToRV

      If your RV is brand new from the dealer, I would recommend having them look at it. You do not want to mess up your warranty. Otherwise, Please take a look at this website.
