This is an odd version of the Ball. Much of the action is left out of the ballet section (first part). The orgy that takes place after Plato and Victoria mate is gone completely. Is this production "Cats gone woke", because it's been stripped of much of the sexiness that's an integral part of Cats?

While I don't necessarily think cutting the sex out of a show about felines is an inherently bad thing, I agree that there were some.... choices... made in this staging and choreo that didn't hit. The dancers seem talented; I don't know why they didn't go harder and felt the need to insert more wacky character hijinks.
