Not bad at all, though I don't like their costumes - some wigs don't have ears and others do. Especially Victoria's is... Uh, unpleasant to look at and reminds me of a typical low budget non-broadway production. Don't feel like the lady playing Bomba wasn't feeling her role either. She just didn't seem "sexy" and "confident" enough, most of the times.
I think they're adorable and marvellous. :) Of course the costumes look like a regional production: that's what they are. But the actors and production quality in general are very high calibre, and many of the performers have previously been (and/or were later) members of official Broadway productions or tours.
@@whitmerule2753 fair enough! Don't get me wrong, I think it's good, really. It's just that I am so used to people like Marlene Danielle playing Bombalurina, that anyone not portraying her as confident feels off to me personally D:
just to make it clear... while this is a regional production (which I am not a huge fan of) and the wigs and arm/leg warmers are made by a regional costume shop, all the unitards and most of the song pieces actually come from the Berlin and German tour productions of Cats and among them are some of the most detailed and best painted costumes ever.
Absolutely - I should have made that clearer! But it's the wigs that are hardest to get right if you don't have that perfect yak hair (and budget and expertise in making and maintaining them), and a sad-looking wig does tend to detract from the rest of the costume, and dominate the impression. (Oh how I miss the German tour costumes... and even more so, the makeup! My favourite interpretation of the London version, especially for the ladies.)
Yes, the shadow dance!!! Love it when productions have Alonzo do that!
I now have an unquenchable urge to see Mr. Mistoffelees from this production lol

@@chrissi2810 yea, that's pretty much what I said. Not a fan of regional productions either. The costumes usually just look less high quality.
