This will save you over an hour of your free time.
It was the first season, in Kanto. I remember because it shows Pikachu's one-time fondness of ketchup. It had an Electabuzz with the same issue with the color as well. I could go on about the episode, but I don't remember the episode number or title.
Now that you mention it, you are right on the eeveelutions (I just now realized the same on Flareon, Vaporeon and Jolteon). And you are right, all those pokemon could use some shine (Absol is probably my favorite pokemon overall), and I think Mawille and Sableye are missing something.
I remember when I first saw Gyarados with his mouth closed and the first thing that came to mind was that crazy look Zangief gives in the Street Fighter Alpha anime movie when he first appears.
5:40-or-so: Gen V (Pokemon Black and White) gave us six new pure Ice-types, the only ice type of the gen that isn't a single-type is Kyurem (who is Dragon/Ice), and he's stuck in the postgame. Which is in part why Brycen is so fail-the only Unova Ice-type that ISN'T necessarily eaten alive by Ferrothorn, Chandelure/Lampent, Darmanitan, the game's numerous Fighting-types, Gigalith/Boldore, Excadrill, Escavalier, Emboar, Cobalion, or Virizion is a legendary trapped in a hole.
Funny I think Hitmonlee only appeared I belive 4 times in the series.Once during the movie once during episode 36 I believe the boxing ep.Once in the pikachu short pikachu's vacation. It has not appeared in any other major appearance since the noddle episode in the advanced series.
I don´t know what to make go Gen 6 yet, but I like the originality of the typing I´ve seen so far (Honedge and Inkay for example). And I truly like Gen 5 because they added many pokemon of types which I think were underrated. For example, the Ghost type. They added Chandelure, Jellicent, Cofagrigus and Golurk, all of which are incredible. They did the same with the Bug type, they even powered it up, and now I like it more than ever. What about you? Do you like what we´ve seen so far?
wasn't Lucario voiced by Jason Griffith at one point? i could be thinking of something else i'm not as much of a Pokemon fan as i used to be years ago and i haven't seen the show since forever and the last pokemon movie i saw was mewtwo returns
@VembersWind That's his trademark. You should hear him complain about how video game physics aren't realistic and how he can't like any 8-bit games because he was born after the genre and believes he can't appreciate anything he wasn't around to experience.
I would love a Dragon eeveelution, but I think it would be rather outclassed by Sylveon (you know, Fairy´s whole point is to counter Dragon), and that would make me very sad. I would like to see more cool Bug types, same as in Gen 5 and more powerful Normal types as well, they almost nailed it with Bouffalant and Stoutland, for example, I want more like those, but maybe with higher speed. What other evolutions would you like to see?
I had only thought of Fairy/Dark or Fairy/Ghost for cool pairings with the new type, but Ice sounds incredible! (it is one of my favorite types overall). Fire is also very cool. As for mew evolutions of existing pokes, I would love to see more eveelutions (maybe a Flying, Poison or Ghost one), though I doubt we´ll see more. I would also love a Poison/Dark evolution for Seviper, or other cool expansions of existing types, like Water/Steel. I would also like more powerful Dark and Ice types.
It'd take forever if they talked about the actual (competitive) worth of every Pokemon on this list rather than only talking about the way they look or what generation they're from, but it still would've been a lot more interesting. That's casual Pokemon fans, I guess.
Well there is only a couple of things to do after game. Only Cerulean Cave and Mewtwo and other games beat it in that regard. Gold/Silver had Kanto. Emerald had the Battle Frontier. Diamond/Pearl had the battle areas and it's own Battle Frontier in Platinum. Black and White had the other half of Unova. Black and White 2 have extra boss fights and the PMW
Scott Rosenfeld He is pretty competitive, he just cant use his charizard correctly. It was down to my lvl. 35 shiny venusaur and his lvl. 50 charizard....... I destroyed him. Sleep powder plus water pulse.
I think Chadelure should have been no 1. Ghost/FireType that makes two elite four members completely useless, with good overall states and of course it's fire so there's no explanation needed because fire types are good to being with anyway.
@ScatmanKirby I think you dont get what overrated means. It means something that is praised so much but doesnt deserve it. Pikachu is not praised its over exposed and people are getting sick of it. Charizard is the one thats overrated.
And a fact of shame: I used a masterball on Zapdos. I had lost the first two birds, and i wasn't going to lose the third. I caught Mewtwo with an ultra ball and some good ole tranquilizer
Aggron. The memories of raising a Lairon to finally evolve... Blaziken. The best starter. Ever. So good that Nintendo tried to recreate him twice more and failed miserably. Nidoking was everyone's choice if you picked Squirtle and you were battling Lt. Surge. Salamence. Too strong to even be allowed to be used during the story. Lucario is always in my team in Platinum. "Watch the power of aura! KAMEHAMEHA!!!!!" Snorlax. Such a bitch to catch. Such a beast to use.
For Sceptile, let's take Grovyle, remove all of the cool leave things from it, and just throw a bunch of balls at its back. That should make a good Pokemon.
Scott Rosenfeld No not really. It's more that I just really have a preference for Grovyle for whatever reason. It's really the only starter tree I like the best in second evolution. I don't know why that is.
Scott Rosenfeld I haven't gotten into PMD yet. I've really been meaning to. It looks like a lot of fun, and I downloaded a ROM of PMD Sky and played the tutorial and liked it. But I haven't played it all yet. I did make Treecko my partner Pokemon in my game. Is that what you mean? Because that may convince me to pick it back up again soon.
Scott Rosenfeld Do you think it would be a different Pokemon because my partner is a Treecko? Because I'm not above restarting it to change my partner if I have to because I'm not far enough into it and it was long enough ago.
@dragonfighter4171 So is Dragonite and Salamance. And yeah. Why did Bulbasaur get a low spot? For that matter, why didn't Oshwott, Snivy, Treecko, Mudkip, Pichu, Jirachi, and.......*sigh*...I could go on and on with Pokémon that totally deserved to be on this list. But you know what they say, you can't spell ignorant without IGN. ;)
Actually, in the dratini episode, the guy fired at team rocket's feet 3-4 times; hense why James says he's starting to piss him off. Also, he pointed the gun at Ash's head... which by the way, is the best fucking thing I've ever seen.
No, by no means. I really like gen 5, and unlike many, I think some of its designs are brilliant. Also, it has the best story and the most solid characters in Pokemon games so far.
9:30 or so: It's a Native American headress. Pokemon aren't just limited to one source of inspiration nowadays. Frigging Darmanitan is an ape and a traditional Japanese wooden doll.
They clearly havent watched it either since they do not know a single pokemon in that era, and the other guy hasn't even played past 1st gen. I respect your opinion, I for one love emerald and think that it added some major things to the series such as natures, different elements such as sun and rain and a lot more but I don't mind if you don't like it, but if you havent played it then your right to have an opinion on it is revoked, it would be like me ranting about ME3 when I havent played it.
Here's how you can get Mew, Take Pokemon Green, Catch every single pokemon, raise them all to level 100, Shut down the GameBoy while it's saving 151 times, Trade all your pokemon t Leaf Green, and back to Green, dismantle the cartrage and put in in your PSP3000. You should then get Mew after 10000000000 random battles.
@dragonfighter4171 I know. I understand he's awesome. And I respect him for being very cool. And he can easily be in the top 10. But, I just don't think he quite deserves number 1. Who should have number 1? I don't know. I thought Pikachu or Mewtwo was going to be it.
no evee still needs a ground or rock or steel and a flying aka earth and wind we've got fire thunder water dark lite ice and plant witch could be a earth.
people are generally prejudice to 3 because it didn't connect with 2 and 1. Gen 4 I can't really understand the negativity towards. Maybe the Gen I/II veterans were still butthurt over losing their original pokemon. My personal favorites: Gardevoir, Froslass and Gothitelle.
He's x4 Weak to ROCK and x2 Weak to both Water and Thunder. He's Not Broken at all. Typhosion is the Broken one because he can learn all of the Elemental Punches giving him amazing Variety. And Since he's Only weak against Rock, Ground and Water (Both x2 instead of the big ass x4 of Charizard.) He's MUCH More Reliable.

It's videos like this that make it impossible for me to take these guys seriously as Pokemon fans.
That's how the majority of Pokemon fans are, to be fair... (I assume)
Coming back to this over 4 years later is kinda nostalgic.
Goddamnit Lewis, your Art Director impressions were one of your funniest gags ever.
That's why we love you.
It was the first season, in Kanto. I remember because it shows Pikachu's one-time fondness of ketchup. It had an Electabuzz with the same issue with the color as well. I could go on about the episode, but I don't remember the episode number or title.
What better way to spend the eve of E3 then a little video about pokemon. ^_^
@Katonachan I ran out of pokemon themed music dammit! XP
Wow, IGN failed to mention that Lugia is actually Flying/Psychic, NOT WATER.
Now that you mention it, you are right on the eeveelutions (I just now realized the same on Flareon, Vaporeon and Jolteon).

I feel like I heard some Star Ocean: Till the End of Time battle music in the background, but I'm not sure.

what episode did they mention that again or what region did they mention it in rather?
Can someone tell me where can i find this remix that's playing at 1:03:30 ?
Anyone know the song that plays when they're talking about Garchomp?
it was a movie when lee kicked chuck norris butt
@NewZen41 Funny thing is that Latias first appeared in gen 2 in the anime.
Why don't the moon and sun stone work on eevee?
Funny I think Hitmonlee only appeared I belive 4 times in the series.Once during the movie once during episode 36 I believe the boxing ep.Once in the pikachu short pikachu's vacation. It has not appeared in any other major appearance since the noddle episode in the advanced series.

@ExandShadow I'm surprised you weren't in this ramble, I thought you were more of a Pokemon fan out of the BSC crew.
Why is their is super Mario sound in the background
@28:24 I think.. Arci(pronounced R-kai)?.. I have no idea.
gen 3 is my childhood and ryan is shitting on it. thank you ryan you made child me cry
3:20 THE POLAMON YAY I CAN SING THIS WHOLE SONG WITH MY EYE'S CLOSED.
You I know but I said Red/Blue not the Kanto games overall.
@VembersWind That's his trademark. You should hear him complain about how video game physics aren't realistic and how he can't like any 8-bit games because he was born after the genre and believes he can't appreciate anything he wasn't around to experience.
Dialga is my favorite Dragon-Steel type.
I would love a Dragon eeveelution, but I think it would be rather outclassed by Sylveon (you know, Fairy´s whole point is to counter Dragon), and that would make me very sad.

Nope, he came before Burn Rooster.

Were I live they did show the gun episode. It's pretty good.
did you pixle art your own pic
I really don't see why people don't like gen 3 pokemon. to me, it is what got me back into pokemon.
Funny thing about Swampert is that the guy that wrote the description under it doesnt even like Swampert.
I get it now! Ho-oh was made to show off the gameboy color!
Generation 3 will always be my favorite.
I want a Hitmonchuck now.
@dragonkyon no, no, both spoons AND sporks
Erm, Feraligatr was spelt without an o because of the ten letter name limit in the games.
@321cheeseman We assume that the population was biased.
Once I get Pokemon White, i'm naming the first fighting Pokemon i catch Hitmonchuck. Thank you, Louis.
Well there is only a couple of things to do after game. Only Cerulean Cave and Mewtwo and other games beat it in that regard. Gold/Silver had Kanto. Emerald had the Battle Frontier. Kabutops is not suppose to be a mantis he is some sort of a Trilobite
also charazard................. EAT MY MEGA BLASTOISE SURF
Scott Rosenfeld wat.......,I'm sorry, I'm not in the meta game
Scott Rosenfeld I've done it to my friend actually.......
Scott Rosenfeld He is pretty competitive, he just cant use his charizard correctly. It was down to my lvl. 35 shiny venusaur and his lvl. 50 charizard....... I destroyed him. Sleep powder plus water pulse.
Scott Rosenfeld He actually does, but he thought he could kill me with a dragon move alone, he was wrong.
Rock Wrecker combined with STAB and Rhyperior's ridculous high attack = HOLY SHIT WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!
@GoGojiraGo Actually, they do that outside Soviet Russia too.
Here's how: If you suddenly have a feeling on which one you want, yeah...
YES. A SANE PERSON ON THE INTERNET. What do you think of Gens. 5 and 6 so far?
umm...you know Team Rocket's PKMN don't give EXP at all, right?
I think Chadelure should have been no 1. Ghost/FireType that makes two elite four members completely useless, with good overall states and of course it's fire so there's no explanation needed because fire types are good to being with anyway.
@ScatmanKirby I think you dont get what overrated means. It means something that is praised so much but doesnt deserve it. Pikachu is not praised its over exposed and people are getting sick of it. Charizard is the one thats overrated.
@Skatedeandre actually just by being on your team automatically makes you the winner
@isaiahd03 It is a lizard with wings and crap compared to Pokemon like Blastoise,Blaziken,Garchomp, and Volcarona
@MRJokerPT which is why i named him devil jin :P
@EltaBolt Eevee has no evolutions for them
And a fact of shame: I used a masterball on Zapdos. I had lost the first two birds, and i wasn't going to lose the third. I caught Mewtwo with an ultra ball and some good ole tranquilizer
at 30 minutes they say that the highest evolution lvl is 66. Not true, there is a pokemon that evolves at lvl 70
What was #45? You trailed off.
Where is Ted? UGH (I'm guessing he wasn't part of the group at the this time)
"What's so special about Darkrai?"
Dark Void...need I say more?
Gen 4 > Gen 3 > Gen 5 > Gen 2 > Gen 1 That's just my taste.
swap 4 and 3 although they are close
Then swap 5 and 2
Jersey Boy Media No.
Why Gen 5 was bad and also swap 3 and 4
Jersey Boy Media But gen 5 had the best story and music. And the pokemon and characters were unique.
Aggron. The memories of raising a Lairon to finally evolve...
Blaziken. The best starter. Ever. So good that Nintendo tried to recreate him twice more and failed miserably.
Nidoking was everyone's choice if you picked Squirtle and you were battling Lt. Surge.

Snorlax. Such a bitch to catch. Such a beast to use.

Maybe it had to do with the anime? I vaguely remember thinking that the Grovyle in that looked cool.
@dragonfighter4171 So is Dragonite and Salamance.
And yeah. Why did Bulbasaur get a low spot?

a First edition Mint condition base set Holographic charizard goes for around $300-$500...
Garchomp-the landshark that can fly
i can imagine suirtle piloting gurren lagann saying this:
GIGA.... DRILL....BREEEEEAAAAAAK!!!!!!!!!!
Why does everyone hate gen 4?
Blissey, Garchomp, Gengar, Salemence, Skarmory, Tyranitar...The team of a Pokemon Master...
No, by no means. I really like gen 5, and unlike many, I think some of its designs are brilliant.
Also, it has the best story and the most solid characters in Pokemon games so far.
No its not, Kyreum and Braviary are in it, and those are just the ones I've noticed.
"If you just merge them at the D..."
1:10:30 Lewis, best. story. ever.
9:30 or so: It's a Native American headress. Pokemon aren't just limited to one source of inspiration nowadays. Frigging Darmanitan is an ape and a traditional Japanese wooden doll.

@Kiraislight19623 if he says he doesn't care that dosen't mean he hates it and he hate gen 4 for being bland and boring
In Black 2 did anyone else find catching Zekrom really easy like I caught Zekrom full heath with a pokeball
Alright IGN, how's about doing a Top 100 Digimon list next?
@dragonfighter4171 I know. I understand he's awesome. And I respect him for being very cool.

I love how solaris just ASSUMES sceptile's name is based on the word "sceptre" -.-
i think he tries too hard to make fun of everything
Contrdiction: Rhyhorn was the first pokemon ever developed
Y U NO play 3rd gen?
