Ok, Pedantic Nerd Moment: Nightcrawler teleports via temporarily going to an alternate dimension, which from what I recall is hell. He also has a lot of agility due to his feet and tail and whatnot, and he becomes invisible while in the shadows. He is also a very skilled fencer, I just can't remember why exactly he decided to learn his swordplay. Nightcrawler won't be in First Class due to story, but the teleporter you see in the trailers is supposedly Azazel, who is his father and the devil.
About Bucky Barnes: The reason why his portrait is like that, is because When Captain America "died" Bucky became Captain America. You can also tell what era he's from by looking at the gun. Christ that thing has to be from the 40's.
I'll tell you about Bucky Barnes. He was basically the Robin sidekick to Captain America. He died in WWII when Cap was frozen. But he's been RETCONNED... now, instead of the Robin of WWII, he was a 16-year-old Nazi killing machine. Cap had the shield--Bucky used tommy guns, grenades, knives. He'd go behind enemy lines and do commando stuff that Cap wouldn't do because of his moral public image. BUT, he didn't really die in WWII...
nice, but couldn't you guys put the pictures from ign's list to show people who you're talking about and in what posistion they stand on the list? but over all great list
Um...Slight correction on your Superboy detail...very small. That whole bit was Superboy Prime. The article refers to Superboy, the clone of Superman and Lex Luthor (I dunno how that worked but...yeah). Very small...still hilarious though. Keep up the awesome!
Renee Montoya is a character spawned by Batman: The Animated Series. She was popular enough to warrant usage in the comics. She is now the most recent Question. Also, the Aquaman from Justice League was MUCH more badass.
#92 was actually a ninja turtles toy back in the day.... I only know that from the nostalgia critic commercials "review" that I went back and watch last night.
@ZioIsPwnzor She-Hulk isn't forgotten, there's just a huge amount of people in the world who don't read comics so they don't understand the appeal of the character, and to answer your question i would think people would have Spencer in mind when he was announced for the game because of Bionic Commando Re-armed, although they really should have used the design from that game instead of the one from the sequal to the NES game that came on the 360 at i think the same time re-aarmed came out
Before Doctor Strange was introduced into the path of sorcery and became the Sorceror Supreme, he was a skilled neurosurgeon, thus he goes by the title of Doctor Strange.
@Nayrman214 I don't choose to question the mindset of the creators whilst they made the Supermen. But I find it hard to believe that after the third one, they didn't start to catch on that they were creating a master race within the DC universe.
...instead, the Russians found his body and brainwashed him into Soviet assassin, with a cybernetic arm and no memory of his past, and called him the Winter Soldier. He carried out secret Cold War missions, even assassinating one version of the Red Skull. Cap later found him, though, and used the Cosmic Cube to bring back his memories. Today, Bucky is the new Captain America--with guns!
Nightcrawler uses a sword most of the time in the comics, Nova used to be one of Galactus' henchmen, Moon Knight is more like a parody of Batman, Ghost Rider in the comics is approximately 77,000 times more badass in the comics than he is in the move (unless he's in one of the comics where he's a member of the team known as the Champions)
Hey you listened to me! Scott Pilgrim was a comic and your reading about comic super heroes...You guys may not be proffesionals but you please your fan base :D THANKS!
Hmmmm this time Lewis made sure to NOT mention (Like in another IGN top whatever list) that he had a HARD-ON for Venom and Carnage. Good for you Lewis, sorry to remind you of that, as well as the rest of us that might remember it as well.
Considering that they cover all 100 characters in this one video, I'll only give my thoughts on the Top 10: 10. I'm okay with this. I think it's just because of Frank Miller's run that Ol' Hornhead was able to squeeze in here, 9. Ryan stated that there aren't really that many noteworthy Superman stories. I beg to differ: Can you name a major Hulk story off the top of your head besides "Planet Hulk"? 8. And yet, DC right now has resurrected, and is now currently pushing, the Barry Allen version in the comics, TV shows, and movies. 7. John Stewart is still my favorite Green Lantern, with Kyle Rayner being a very close second. 6. It's the ol' Hitler-puncher himself! Oh, and what's that? Steve's getting his powers back in the comics right when his new movie is coming out? How shocking! (Can you feel the sarcasm?) 5. How has it taken her this long to get a movie? She's part of the DC Trinity, for God's sake! 4. I'm not surprised he's up this high. You can't really look at anything X-Men-related these days without seeing those claws and that ridiculous yellow costume. 3. I am perfectly happy with Pete's spot here. Not only is he the highest-ranking Marvel character (suck it, Logan!), but he's (according to this list, anyway) right up there with the next two heroes. 2. Not surprised with this, either. He's The God-Damn Batman. Of course he was going to make it this high. 1. Aaaaaand cue the salt from the Batman fanboys! Seriously, people, without Superman, none of these characters, whether they're in the Top 10 or Top 100, would ever have been created. I don't even think there could have been a Barry Allen to usher in the Silver Age without The Man of Steel.. He's just that important to not only comic book history, but modern mythology, too.
Oh, and Dr. Strange was, according to the movie anyway, a neurosurgeon until a car crash ruined his hands. While he went hunting for a way to fix them, he found the Tibetan temple where he became a totally broken wizard.
@snusWintergreen Heya, put the link in the description so you can follow along. To be honest searching where each time and editing the pictures is a bit too much for editing, especially considering you can follow along with us. Besides, my mouse is getting fucked up and doing that would be more of a pain at the moment. Sorry.
I don't nerd rage very often, and I was able to stay calm during most of the mistakes and misconceptions the Brainscratch crew had about the characters and comics on this list. But GODDAMN I was foaming at the mouth when Ryan said Watchmen was by Frank Miller. IT'S ALAN MOORE YOU DOLT! ALAN MOORE! With Dave Gibbons as the artist. Frank Miller had NOTHING to do with it! GODDAMNIT Ryan.
ON the topic of Superman, he also has a weakness to magic, so any magical beings give him quite the run for his money. Captain Marvel (Shazam!) actually kills him in Kingdom Come, I believe. I also find it funny how, to me anyway, he's such a boring character, but Lex Luthor is singlehandedly one of the best villains ever
I was following along with the list on IGN, and I saw a fucking Xbox 360 covered in Skittles looking like it was from Candyland. Completely random I know.
I love you guys but when u do a top 100 list and have comments, please read up on it. Some of these characters are bad ass. I hate IGN list as well but they do have people that read the books before making the list.
why can't you show the pics you guys are looking at?
were are the pictures
i kinda wish there was no music
1:07:25 Knee arrows?

The ending. They made the movie of that: "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns" the animated firm.
About Bucky Barnes: The reason why his portrait is like that, is because When Captain America "died" Bucky became Captain America. You can also tell what era he's from by looking at the gun. Christ that thing has to be from the 40's.

Samuel L. Falcon?
Gee guys, sure wish this was about four hours longer.
Renee was the good cop from From the 90 bat man show she then became the question
one of the bsc is a fan of At4w?
You said watchmen was Frank Miller...it wasn't it was Alan Moore and drawn by Dave Gibbons.
Lewis predicted Days of Future Past.
That Superboy and THAT Superboy are two very different characters.
Renee Montoya is a character spawned by Batman: The Animated Series. She was popular enough to warrant usage in the comics. She is now the most recent Question. Also, the Aquaman from Justice League was MUCH more badass.
scott pilgrim music!
Deadpool is immortal mainly because Thanos wanted to date Lady Death so he made him immortal so he can't date her.
Dem sweet Scott Pilgrim tunes
Plus Sonic is a video game hero.
#92 was actually a ninja turtles toy back in the day.... I only know that from the nostalgia critic commercials "review" that I went back and watch last night.

17:40 to 18:20 best part.
Before Doctor Strange was introduced into the path of sorcery and became the Sorceror Supreme, he was a skilled neurosurgeon, thus he goes by the title of Doctor Strange.
Howard the Ducck as actually pretty cool he was actually the Deadpool of his era in the comics don't let the movie fool you
I think you guys maybe remembering the Falcon from Robot Chicken

Kitty Pride is indeed Shadowcat from the X-Men.
You've read Dorian Grey?! YOU LIKE DORIAN GREY?!?! Lewis, you're my new best friend.
Yay for Scott PIlgrim music.

@BlitzFatty Mystique is his mother, who is also in the movie. God damn character limits cannot accommodate my nerdiness
Funny, I bet if IGN made this list after UMvC3's release I bet characters like Nova would be a good 30 places upward.
To Lewis:Fire off the photon particle beam, Off the Main Reflector Dish.
Usagi Yojimbo has done some crossovers with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in the comics as well as both cartoon series.
Usagi Yojimbo has also appeared in multiple Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles adaptations. :-D
Have you guys seen ign's top 25 final fantasy characters
I saw John Stewart Green Lantern before Hal Jordan
@hypVideo
We can, but it would take forever to edit them in, so we don't. There are a hundred of them, for crissake.
Johnny, you couldn't think of a joke for Ka-Zar? Dude, there's an obvious Klonoa joke here.
CHEECH KA-ZAR!!!
@SiLeNtDo0m Same goes for Iron Fist too
Jessica Alba played Sue Storm in FF movies.
Rick Grimes = Bill from Left 4 Dead confirmed
but does Scott Pilgrim really count?
...they did give him a weakness to magic...
i'm suprised scott didn't make the top 10, actually.
I couldn't pay attention to the video with Scott Pilgrim in the background!
I loved how when you 3 said DEADPOOL!!, his theme song from MVC3 kicked in, it was epic
Also Dracula owes Moon Knight money

anyone from the fantastic 4, maybe?

Samus was always a strong female character. Just because she doesn't talk doesn't mean she isn't strong.
Hell, she killed more bitches then Link did.
Oh, and Dr. Strange was, according to the movie anyway, a neurosurgeon until a car crash ruined his hands. While he went hunting for a way to fix them, he found the Tibetan temple where he became a totally broken wizard.

At least Hawkeye was badass in the Avengers movie.
I don't nerd rage very often, and I was able to stay calm during most of the mistakes and misconceptions the Brainscratch crew had about the characters and comics on this list. Captain America had a good movie to lewis' misjudgement.
@FangDragon47 agreed
love when you guys said deadpool and theme came on at the same time
p.s strange is marvel
Superman... HE IS NOT INTERESTING IN THE SLIGHTEST!
ON the topic of Superman, he also has a weakness to magic, so any magical beings give him quite the run for his money. Captain Marvel (Shazam!) actually kills him in Kingdom Come, I believe. I also find it funny how, to me anyway, he's such a boring character, but Lex Luthor is singlehandedly one of the best villains ever
all i got to say is Gambit ought to be high up there ign. or pow to the moon
y u got no love for Static shock IGN???
Thor movie is quite awesome. A little underwhelming after you watch the Avengers but what isn't?
2 hours to spare? Sure, i got time.
Anyone else find number 69 rather suitable?
I'd put Batman at #1 and Spiderman at #2 but I don't care for any of the other entries.
not even Deadpool
13:31 you can pretty say that for Spencer, i mean do you know ANYONE that remembers him?
Batman should have been #1 nuff said

As the Internet's #1 Comic Book Nerd I'm hurt I wasn't asked to join...*sulks in the corner* oh wait I have my own channel.
I was following along with the list on IGN, and I saw a fucking Xbox 360 covered in Skittles looking like it was from Candyland.
Completely random I know.
@rayman2247 What did I do?
Ryan: Everyone dies in Marvel Zombies. They're zombies.
Lex Luthor: WRONG!

Oh back before walking dead was overly popular, those where the days.
Iron Man got over his drunkeness. You're thinking of Ultimate Iron Man
Actually, Superboy PRIME said "I'll kill you to death".
i hate iron man to me, hes just a drunk millionare with an endless arsenal of weapons who occasionaly fights a villian
Yes !!!!
@SolarisParadox oh well your still awesome!
I love you guys but when u do a top 100 list and have comments, please read up on it. Some of these characters are bad ass. I hate IGN list as well but they do have people that read the books before making the list.
@TheVader2 That would be kind of ironic considering Superman was made by two Jewish guys... X_X:;
