The raised spine hubs, deep gold stamping, and wide gold gild line is gorgeous! It all is very punchy. I have never seen these things so pronounced and I’m loving it!!
The newer printings of the Lockman NASB Large Print Compacts (blue and brown covers) Have them. Along with better paper etc. Nice little portable Bible and comfy font size.
After watching the review I ordered one on Amazon. Earlier I picked up the CSB Verse-By-Verse Reference Bible also in Goatskin. It's a two-column format and also has a semi-wide margin.
Best layout for reading among all 3+ NASBs, all publishers! I would commit misdemeanors to see Holman do this for the NASB95, and a felony I could plea out of for the NKJV.
I don’t have one of these handcrafted collection bibles yet, but it looks like they made great strides in improving their premium bibles. I’m waiting to see what their green calfskin is going to look like that should come out next year.
I have this and I love it! But yeah, the paper they used in the VbVWM and SCWM is better. By the way, I don't like accent stitching. What they did with this is fine.
Do you know if the paper is better in this NASB 2020 than it was with the HHC CSB single column? I had a slate grey HHC SC and the paper is worse than their saddle leather non-premium version IMO. Wasn’t impressed with the HHC CSB SC at all.
I had not heard about the bonded goatskin. I have a Ultrathin Premium Leather CSB, pre-Handcrafted Edition. Is that what you are talking about being bonded? I bought it like new a few yrs back but msrp was $99. It wasn't on my list to have rebound, but if this is bonded, then it will be moved to the top as this is my nightstand bible that I use nightly. Definitely does not feel as good as my rebinds but better than the other genuine and bonded bibles that I have.
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews I love the ESV having switched from the NASB 1995. Only thing I miss is capitalizing the Deity of Christ in the OT prophecies, that’s it and possible loss of memorization in transition
Like I've said before, you and I are very different people, Tim. I HATE accent stitching. Looks gaudy and exposes the inconsistencies in the stitching more. SAME COLOR STITCHING ONLY 😤😤😤😤😤😤 Also, not huge on the spine from Holman. Wish the hubs didn't stick out so much. They look way too blocky, looks awkward to me. I actually really liked the tooled spine more than their current setup. I will say, though, I'm so glad they had a more conservative word count per line on this new edition. That's desperately needed in the single column space...too many bad single column layouts.

I wish Bibles still had the little book introductions! It's so rare, outside of actual study Bibles.
Several of the NKJVs and KJVs do.

I just received the black leather. Love it.

I'm looking forward to the Holman NASB 2020 calfskin that is supposed to be released in March/25
Very good job on the review!
Holman supposed to be coming out with a handcrafted series in the CSB in a 12-point font! I'm super stoked about that!
I just caught that mistake text to speech is not all it is cracked up to be
Looks great! This might be only the second NASB2020 single column in paragraph format, the other being Lockman’s Large Print Compact.

I’ve seen samples…you’re gonna love it!
We need more single columns. Large print. With the deuterocanonical books. I’m good with thick. 😅
Waiting for a full-size NASB 2020, double column, paragraph format, full cross-references, red letter text in a calfskin cover. Wishful thinking?

Nasb 2020..The wider margins and better gutter space is so much better. I hope they fix that on the CSB at some point.
Thanks for the review Tim! Does this have the same paper as the CSB you mentioned? How's the ghosting?
It’s not the 36gsm of those early on. The paper is decent.
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews Thanks Tim!

It was before the handcrafted line.
Yay Tim.
Do you like the nasb2020 more than the nasb 1995?
I like them both about the same. Not in my top five.

Came here to say that I wish they had better ribbons because everything else is great.
The only way to get better ribbons would be berisfords. These ribbons are pretty nice.
I'm glad to hear it. My CSB thinline is great except for the ribbons.
The ribbons they used here are nice enough.

You enjoy being wrong.
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews LOL you've just got weird taste, friend. Maybe it's because you're so much more mature than me 😎
Unfortunately, I did briefly viewed this 2020 version and saw some politically correct changes to wording compared with the NASB95
Nah.
