Dude, why does nobody explain the difference between their $300 keyboard vs their $175 keyboard
Partially because I don’t own one so I can’t speak on it 😂 too expensive for my pocket. But I’ll make a video comparing the specs!
Biggest differences that the $300 keyboard has off the top of my head is: RGB lighting south facing might make a cleaner look, RGB lights on the side of the aluminum plate, full aluminum casing vs plastic + aluminum, higher quality foam in the case, a weighted medallion on the back (looks cool too), and patterned geographical print on the actual keyboard switches.

@@damenwoodgeard there would possibly be a different feel in terms of smoothness due to the higher quality foam and lubing they do on the $300 keyboard, but can’t tell you for sure since I haven’t had a chance to mess with one yet
@@damenwoodgeard I would just go with a $175 keyboard if you never have had a high quality keyboard before. You’ll notice the difference the most. Then if you ever want to tinker with a $300 upgrade down the line, you can cop the next drop 👍🏽

yeah its def worth the price, if you like nice things and you aren't super casual if that makes sense. if you dont care how your keyboard feels and sounds, then i wouldnt buy it

Im watching this because I want to get the new Levi keyboard and never heard of higround. Do you get to customize the board when you are ordering it or do you just buy it how it is?
You just buy it how it is. You pick the look you want and try to get your hands on it. They just released a “build your own” version of their boards that is always available I believe. Not sure if this new drop will have keycaps only, but that can be an option!

how long did it take to deliver once you ordered?
I think its the usual 7-14 day shipping process. I recieved both of them at the 14 day mark. I would assume the always available keyboards (base65 boards) would have faster shipping then their limited drops.

Great question! They are not wireless. They have a USBC connection on the keyboard to USB to the PC. 👍🏽

Is this keyboard good for valorant?
Yeah! I play Valorant a lot. The keys are consistent and it’s very easy to mod the keyboard to your liking. You can feel the quality under your fingertips. Highly recommend giving it a try.

Actually, I know what I can do! My PRIX board is pretty much the same as the base 65 boards besides the glacier switches. I’ll order so switches and do a review video of all the switches they have to offer 🫡

Nothing against Higround, I like their work ethic but I don't see their vision in the custom mechanical keyboard space. In my opinion, you can get a much better typing experience with the same price if you buy from other companies like Akko, Varmilo, or some other brand you probably never heard of, that are beginner-friendly and offer some good prebuilt keyboard with overall better typing experiences. But I get the hype around Higround, they sell novelty and limited edition keyboards that probably needed some money for licensing that ups the price tag quite a bit, but if you're purely going off typing experience, I probably wouldn't pick one up even if I had money to burn for a keyboard.
Hey man, respect the insight! I think that’s a fair outlook on it. One of the reasons why I think Higround is successful is their marketing tactics. Dope collabs and limited drops cause a lot of hype around their product, not to mention being versatile in their merch line to compliment their keyboards. What attracted me to Higround is the ease of access to understand what keyboard modding/good quality typing experience is all about. I was always afraid to get into the space because it was such a niche thing to get into. Similar to prebuilt PCs versus building your own. Yeah you can get more bang for your buck doing it on your own, but the quality and entry to the keyboard space PLUS amazing collaborations makes Higround an easier choice for the normal, day to day consumer.
@@BourneAgainn I don't disagree with a single thing that you said, I think Higround keyboards have a certain allure to them that you just can't get from a normal stock or even custom keyboard. Their commitment to collaborations also makes them distinct from most keyboard companies out there and they're doing very well in the market they're in.
