Game Developer here! 12:19 It freezes because it wont hold menu images and assets on memory, so you can still play the latest cs go version with your oldest potato pc. It freezes because it loads the menu from Disk. It would be nice have the option to preload menu. But, whatever, we dont use it that often anyways.
I honestly really love the pictures of CTs and Ts from early versions of the game and wish they stayed. I'm glad some of that element still stayed in the current day.

they should add all of the old operation maps to offline maps. Edit: These maps are available through the workshop but they are not prepacked with the game. being in the game gives them better exposure to new players and will be a nice reward for the mappers how made them. imagine getting so close to getting your map into the game permanently but it just doesn't get added. CSGO has such a large mapping scene but so little community maps in the base game let alone have competitive servers for match making.

Jack Sandic but if you are brand new player. you most likely haven’t turned on the console. It goes a LONG way to just give them an icon for offline mode.

The only change panorama needs is the good 'ole music blast when it loads. Then it can fade out, but if it doesn't wake up the neighborhood when it loads in then it isn't perfect.

Country is kinda nice to have because cs was inspired to be an accurate gun simulation. It is definetly not needed but it is blast from the past. And it gives the game a small serious note.
2:50 a suggestion about the Friends tab is that it should show the rank next to the person avatar or name so you know which people to invite to your lobby right away without having to view each profile separately
Every CS player remembers opening up CS:GO for the first time and hearing the menu music also for the first time - it was beautiful yet scary at the same time.
@@thomas1999 i think the style of the newer ui has always looked better, but the layout of the old one was better in almost every way except the inventory. it might sound dumb, but i actually really miss the old lobby layout. so many good memories of queueing with friends and making jokes from that.
will it be a great idea to add an extra animation for you when you're running at full speed (different for each guns equipped) so it'll actually showcase how accurate you'll be when you're running(the gun is slightly tilted down), walking(the gun is tilted just a little bit), and standing or crouching (the gun is at an accurate stable shot position) will give more heads up to newbs about how the accuracy of shooting works and give a little little bit spice that we all enjoy :D
Wow, after only two years of Panorama, I can't believe how different it was. I miss the old weapon buy screens. The stats were rather interesting, and now I cant think of one time I've looked at them in Panorama. Dumb thing, but yeah. I am glad you made this video, even though you didn't see the point in it initially Philip!

Edit: I think the reason draws are now green (besides being positive) is because they are like mini wins. They show that you and the enemy team are neck and neck and are improving. I’ve ranked up on draws multiple times. Not once have I deranked.
It's a nice detail in Panorama that when in the menus screen, the T characters have fingers on triggers, but CTs have better training and discipline, so keep fingers rested.
the 2011 UI reminds me of the ones from the first borderlands (2009) and deadspace (2008) on the other hand, the panorama UI follows the trend of simplified and box shaped ones like we see everywhere nowadays really interesting to see how everything changes with time

I think if you go into windows options on your PC (if you have windows 10) and turn off focus assist, i heard it fixes/reduces time for alt-tabbing.

You can play them if you go into an offline game and type: map [map name]

It works pretty well. Valve knows a large part of the player base plays 4:3 and did a great job (from what I've seen)

Personally i play on 4:3 stretched, and it does look a little bit more cluttered but still looks ok due to the sleek menus on the sides
