  • In the fifty-third episode of "Assassin's Creed: The Real History" we take a look at the infamous Borgia family that rose to prominence during the Italian Renaissance.
This series will be a way for me to shed light on the real history behind characters, groups, events and locations that are showcased in the Assassin's Creed video game series. Throughout the video I will be comparing real historical moments to those represented in the selected game.
If you have any characters, groups, events or locations that you'd like me to cover in the future, please be sure to leave it in a comment below.

Really liked the fact you decided to study the family as a whole :)
Great video, as always. I agree with one of the comments: You should do an episode dealing with the Pirate Republic.

How would he do a vid on Arno? He’s a fictional character, you’re joking I’m guessing?

Hi Online Knights! Great job!! Interesting fact also about the Borgias: Although they had nothing to do with the Pazzi Conspiracy, Pope Alexander VI ordered Florence to remove any portraits of them in 1494 (same year the Bonfire of the Vanities began, start of Savonarola's rule and end to Piero de'Medici's). Question: Have you watched the series from 2011 to 2013 as well? If so, cool. So have I.

It really bugs when people do these comparisons between Assassin's Creed and recorded history when they talk about like how "they really weren't involved in that" or "he/she wasn't apart of the Templars or Assassins". Yes, I get that as far as everyone should be concerned, if it wasn't written in a creditable piece of historical document it didn't happen, regardless of stories or rumors passed down through history; but that's thing about Assassin's Creed's story, both the Assassin's and Templars went out of their way to make sure that all their affairs, plans, and operations were kept secret from everyone so that way it wouldn't end up on any history book. I always get a sense of pompousness when people talk about the "historical inaccuracies" Assassin's Creed, like Ubisoft are uneducated idiots for being creative about past events where we wouldn't have a clue about what really happened because it wasn't written down.

Yeah a very late comment. I agree with you. That’s why, in game the animus was created so that these organisations could discover what really happened.

What happened to video about the Pazzi? I could've sworn that you would've covered that not-so-popular family! :P

    Question,
Is it true that they had nude party as depicted in AC:B? And is it true that Juan died in the party?
