    I don't like heights. As you worked higher and higher I found myself clutching my tablet tighter and tighter. I think my fingerprints are permanently embedded in my Samsung. Great job, my friend!

    • @metaspencer

      Woah! I have a kind of opposite thing with heights where they don't freak me out ... so I have to remind myself how dangerous it is. I always follow the rule that even 6' off the ground is high enough to do serious damage. Anyway, thanks for clutching and checking it out! :)

    Thought I’d say hi al the way from the UK. Wondering if you would be interested in presenting a video on how you go about pricing jobs. Specifically tree jobs. I am interested to know as you work alone and you deal with a wide variety of different trees. I see sometimes that you return another day to complete the job. Do you price per day or for the whole job? Keep up the good work. I enjoy all of your videos. Stay safe and healthy.

    • @metaspencer
      @metaspencer  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Bryan! One of my sisters lives over there ... great place! If you send me your email address I can send you my pricing sheet (a sort of tool I use to come to a price). But yeah, I always go out and do a bid, then determine a price and often send them a quote all written up. It's kind of a long process but seems to work out. I'll have to make that video you mention as it's a big part of the job and one I'm not as good at as I should be. I could say sooooo much more about it, but I always do it by the job. Thanks buddy!

    • @bryanwilliams9456
      @bryanwilliams9456 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@metaspencer Hi Spencer. A copy of your pricing sheet will be appreciated. It might be something I can adapt to pricing here. I would absolutely love to go out there and work alone but unfortunately here in the UK we have “lone working legislation” which prevents me from doing so, especially working at heights and with chainsaws.
      So where in the UK is your sister. I live on a farm in a remote part of Shropshire which is near the Welsh border and I avoid the heavily populated areas if I can help it. Hope you and all of your family are well during these tough times. Keep up the great work and videos. My email address is “ bsw2061@gmail.com “ look forward to viewing your pricing method. Be safe.

      @@bryanwilliams9456 Hey man, I sent the info via email ... wow, that "lone working legislation" makes sense, I guess, but wouldn't fly over here. Sis is in Scotland and likes the hiking. Take care!

    The tree where you rig onto at 8:07, that "Honeysuckle" looks more like an Elderberry! It's got that typical bark and the spot in the center of every cut. Just asking...

    • @metaspencer
      @metaspencer  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We do have a lot of elderberry trees around here, so there's a good chance. I'm certainly not the master of tree identification but given how that one was growing my money is still on honeysuckle :)

    • @ai4313
      @ai4313 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@metaspencer I was just worried, because cutting down an Elderberry is considered dangerous! The Elder Mother will be released from out of the tree and take her revenge on the one cutting it down... ;-)
