Yamaha Xjr 1200 has 320 mm front discs. I have her for 20 years. Great bike ! Front disc are the same on the Fzr 1000 and Fj 1200.

Hi saw your video on the calipers when I was just about to refurbish mine so I decided to buy some blue spots which cost £50, a lot less the the rebuild kits and the time to do them. What an improvement plus a straight swop too!!! Can it get any easier 👍. Thanks very much for putting out this vid. Paul.

So happy to know it helped you to make what turned out to be a good decision.
They are very good calipers aren't they ?
And so cheap, when you like me, find a damn good pair. Looks nice too!

Absolutely I have a Fazer 600 which also uses the same calipers too. 👍

I think your wife would love that Fazer 600 wink wink !
As you probably saw I had the FZS 1000 absolutely fantastic machine, ticks so many boxes. One I should have kept, the VFR800 Crossrunner is better all round, just not ask quick, or thirsty.

did mine years ago, they came off a 600 thundercat, did the rear one a year ago, silver spot, get one off a fazer thou or xjr 13 plus mounting bracket off the same, you will need a inner spacer for the rear mount as xjr 12's rear wheel shaft is smaller diameter than the 13 etc, can be got off the net

Excellent I think I will do the same if they are so much better than the stock ones what would you say is the percentage of improvement on yours ? . Thanks for the info good to know . : )

Even after everything to try and improve, 50% +
The Bluespots cost me around £50, I sold my originals for the same, it was an absolute no brainer. Of all the mods I have ever done, this by far the easiest, and cheapest for the greatest return factor. Go do it, unless you feel your originals are good, maybe mine were just flawed from the start.

And how are you satisfied with the R1 front calipers ?

    • @DeanAllen
      @DeanAllen  ปีที่แล้ว

For older brakes, and inexpensive they are great !!!

@@DeanAllen Thanks for answering ! I will try to feed them on my Xjr 1200 as soon as I find them them. I will fully rebuild mine Xjr this year. And put 1200 Fj 125hp engine with bigger bore cylinders, upgraded carburetors…

      Hello Bobby,
Unsure about ABS, you would definitely need to consult with others through Forums etc, and see if anyone else has, either successful results.

Thanks, but sadly like so many before, she has left me. Had vibration issues that affects my right hand causing numbness. Tried bars, bar ends, lead shot, soft grips but nothing stopped it.
Now have a BMW K1200R now that thing really goes and stops well !
      Still some vibe issues though.
