They underestimate you because they don´t know you... They don´t care to really get to know you. It is sad but not your problem.

I am just now coming to this realization about my wife. As in, today.
I was accepted and graduated from a prestigious university's paralegal program in North Carolina. It was a condensed program of 1 year rather than two. We had to pass every segment with a B+. I am no genius, so this was difficult for me but I did it. I spoke with my wife often about many ethical questions dealt with
Today she was bickering about a few different things. I told her that she was being unethical and she said "unethical? What do you know about ethics?
I said " You mean other than the ethics training from Duke and the semi-annual ethics training I've done twice a year for 8 years at my firm? You truly have 0 idea who I actually am. If it weren't so gross, it might have impressed me to be in a relationship for 12 years and they not know the basics about the other person and what drives them to succeed? That takes skill, a dedication to your craft beyond my ability well done."
      She was so confused lol.

It’s all about them the best way to describe a narcissist image your a new car they will drive you about show you off to there friends then they get bored and park you up and get the next model then one day they will come past your way and realise you were the best thing that happened to them and want to get back in change the locks no matter how much they want you back never unlock the abuse again ❤

I’m finally single again! My narc husband moved out a year ago and got an apartment, and then he came back. Well I finally asked him to leave and after having to say it about 20 times, he went back to his apartment. Oh it feels so good to be in my own energy, when he was here I felt so sick from toxic energy, I thought I would collapse from weakness.

I realised what he was but became trauma bonded to the narcissist so found it hard to leave the relationship but eventually left and am slowly healing and breaking the trauma bond. He took so much from me including parts of myself. He broke me but I didn’t let him destroy me. As you say Joe, I never needed the narcissist in reality he needed me. Glad I’m out of it. Best thing I ever did was walk away.

They leverage your reputation with those around you to coerce you to do their will. They'll also wrap themselves in other peoples reputations , if you talk about the abuse, the truth threatens the reputations of those useful idiots they've manipulated to abuse you by proxy. Even if these people believe you , they'll stick to the script to keep from being shamed having to admit that they were conned by a narcopath.

Most of us that have experienced narcissistic abuse has experienced the most painful emotional abuse possible. Most of us heal and go on and find happiness. Narcissists will never find Happiness. They only know how to act happy. These people have no souls and don’t see themselves when they look in the mirror they will all end up alone and bitter. I offered Love respect and loyalty in return. I received disrespect, betrayal beyond comprehension. It’s my personal opinion Demons control these people and require exorcisms. Unfortunately, it’s the most horrific thing you can do to another person that makes them feel better. Imagine a vampire that was starving to death, but didn’t want to kill anyone. Then, finally, as the pain inside became too much that first kill was made and it felt good. Every time they made a kill, it was easier to do and became a lifestyle. They’ve been practising for centuries. How else do you think they got so good at All the evil shit they do, but suck at the simple tasks that simple people do every day. I pray for my wife

It just occurred to me this evening. That’s what my ex would always do. She would always have a trip planned to make it look like she was in it for the long-term. We had something to look forward to something that would make me think she wasn’t abusing or not, loving me or maybe living a double life

Surely in this day and age it’s never been easier for a narcissist with dating apps etc to get endless supply? I think this is why we are seeing a rise in narcissism. In the past they were stuck to finding supply in their small vicinity but in the digital age they can get it anywhere in the world if need be. The phone is a weapon for them. Yes I agree information on narcissism through networks like TH-cam is educating victims but I think today’s world has helped them more.
